In a true ad-hoc network scenario, all the nearby nodes would maintain connection information for their specific trees, then once those trees are eventually joined, the message would be transferred.
@manitou1984 I wrote a simple C++ program to move the agents and pass messages when appropriate. Data from each run is written to a file that is later read into Matlab for analysis and plotting. The movie is also from Matlab.
