  • It's quite funny to see Tariq Ramadan asking these two questions, as if they know more than him!:-) Althought i don't agree totally with Tariq, i must admit he's more learned than the other 2.. just my opinion

  • Okay....every other line coming after Mr. ramadan's mouth is "non-Muslims". The man seems obsessed to please these people. May Allah guide him and guide us all.

  • Tariq is a very articulate person. His views on traditional Islam are amazing especially his scope on ever subject. His questions reveal a level depth that reflects his knowledge and understanding of Islam.

There was a topic on Spiritualism and Sufism where his views were absolutely traditional and orthodox.

  • I am happy to know that Tariq's views on the Ihsan aspect of our Deen are in line with traditional Ahl Sunnah wa Jama'a (if what you tell me is accurate). However, we must not forget that our Deen also has an "Islam" aspect to it, which would include things like shariah, islamic governance, hudud, etc.

But you raise a good point. We should look into the good that our brothers have and try to gently correct them on their incorrect views.

  • I understand but Hid views on Hudud are interesting. He mentions conditions for Hudud and argues that certain punishments can only be established once the conditions are met. He focuses more on the Usool of Fiqh

  • @MrGrandDragon,

Tariq says because we are not satisfying the other conditions for hudud (i.e. other Islamic laws being implemented), we should abolish applying hudud.

The conspicuous thing is, why doesn't he say the most common sense solution "If our societies lack the full implementation of Islam...then we should work to fully implement Islam - and not need to have defeatist talk of abolishing the last remaining vestiges of Islam we still have left in our state systems!"

  • Yes good point.

Do you know of any way to start implementing the full law?

  • We need to radically change our governments and their corrupt apparatus. In their stead, we need to establish a governing structure which is learned in Islam, understands the reality of the world and human beings, and is free from outside control. This state is none other than the Khilafah, and the rule of Islamic law will fall on everyone, ruler to beggar (if any will be left after the Islamic economic system is implemented :) ).

  • Brother since you have the time to respond I may as well convey my gratitude.Your effort and hard work is something I hope other Muslims will be inspired by.

    JazakAllah khair :)

  • Barak Allah feequm brother for your kind words

  • Salam Alikum bro..The sound quality is very bad..couldnt understand anything

  • @jaed123

    wa alaikum asalam,

    Should be working now :)

  • tariq ramadan is a wanker, modernist, and has zero knowledge, he is a tool for the kufar

  • You have to ask forgivness from Taqriq, because backbiting is a disease .

its easy don't be shy :D

  • Salam brother,

Don't use insults - but I agree. Tariq is a modernist and a secularist.

  • i love tariq ramadan! Il est mon hero!
