Even tho FSOL's music is considered ambient music, I wouldn't call this track ambient. It has a striking similarity to todays dub-step tbh, but I'd rather be safe and call it EDM. Anyhow FSOL is the real deal, and there is noone like them! No other electronica-group got as many inquiries as these guys when i played my 'techno' in the recordstore i worked in mid-90's. "what are you playing now? This is fantastic!"

Lifeforms is probably the album which i have listened to the most of all music there is. The atmosphere it creates is amazing, also the associated memories make this my favorite. There are seasons when i listen to it everyday and i still haven't gotten enough of it. :]

@lownrgy Hey! Thank you for the info. :) I have several analogue synths myself and played a lot of them during the years but not the OSCar. It seems they are not sold that much 'cause i have never seen one of them on the market. The bass-sound itself isn't that special but of course delicious. :) I like the filtering that is used sometimes (maybee bandpass?). The real beauty is of course the arrangement with all this different tasty sounds.

@lordoid cool, it's always about arrangment and mixing more than specific synths or other whatever equip. thats when were talking about music. beside creating music, just love to collect analogs and records, combining two world of knowhows makes it even more fun, obviously :)
