Kawasaki is the manufacturer to watch out for in 2011.They r finally taking racing seriously with massive factory support & next gen ZX-10R is built exactly 4 that.Kawasaki has already found success with ZX-6R in world super sport & its only a matter of time. The Z-1000 in d mean time will b the perfect roadbike offering superbike levels of performance since ZX-10Rs will b made track oriented.Sad 2 c ZX-10Rs struggling in WSB when BMW & APRILIA have found sucess, but definitely not 4 long.
Come on Kawi, like 13 more HP?? & finally after an eternity you give us fully adjustable forks + an aluminum frame that's 30% more rigid. HOW HAVE YOU NOT FIGURED OUT TO PUT A ZX10R ENGINE ON IT. What are they waiting for. I guess they would rather just bring back rims & rear axle styles from the late 80's & call them all new. I DO like the 2010, but not like 03-06. If it finally had a ZX10R engine I would forget that it's getting uglier every year. It would weigh less than a B-King & be faster
Kawasaki isnt imitating Buell, the first z1000 was produced in 1973, but was called the Z900 (Z1), in 2003 Kawasaki revived the Z900 with its new generation Z1000. Kawasaki did not imitate anyone, they simply redesigned their own motorcycle for the new age of motorcycles. just take a look at a Z900 and a Z1000, you can clearly see the similarities and any improvement over design should be respected, not looked down upon.
I ride KAWASAKI bikes for the last 15 years and I'm in love with them, they never let you down, they never promιse more then they can give, they are true bikes for true bikers
@frantnik Man what you said, was the thing that few riders can understand.TRUE BIKES, not extraexotic for the rich guy garage only, that u NEVER gonna see in road.Kawa 4ever
piff this looks way better than the ugly POS before it, would have never bought that junk. You have buyers remorse now maybe?, read the reviews everywhere, people cant stop talking about how much better it looks and performes than the old one.
needs more colour selections but that is it.
Even in this semi-ugly color shceme it looks better than the old one.
see this in black and ride it and i gurantee you will take ure current z1000 to the dumb.

It is funny to hear Kawasaki trying to imitate Erik Buell's approach to design. The sincerest form of flattery is imitation.
My first motorcycle was a Kaw back in 1982. But my most recent purchase was a 2009 Buell. Erik is the master of mass centralization.
