I watched ergo proxy sometime ago and it blew me away, it come across to me as if it was about different facets of character. Philosophical in alot of ways, meaningful a sort of right of passage film.The opening song is excellent and i think it has something to do with the story.I also agree with what fasunfru4evr said She's very hot but i'm a bloke.

@livedandletidie yeh agreed, too bad i definitely couldn't call myself a hyperintellectual being. i'm watching through the series a second time now - it's nice already knowing what's going to happen as it allows you to focus on the smaller details.

This anime requires a couple of watch throughs before anyone can completely grasp it but otherwise it is one of the most fascinating and brilliant anime i have ever seen. Comparable to most of Dai Sato's other work.

@bzoner16 If one isn't a hyperintellectual being it takes forever I see to fully grasp the concept of all the underlying information in the anime. Thank god I'm a hyperintellectual being. The philosophical questions asked in the anime is of the higher planes and not with preunderstanding of each one of them one cannot fully grasp the point of the philosophical aspect of the anime. Otherwise it has a high value of entertainment though it isn't the right word to use, interesting is more correct.

And If you are big into the classics (the major philosophers we all lean heavily on without even knowing it) you'll be in for a treat, akin to a wheres waldo of the thinkers. Enjoy!

@greenacidfusion If you are talking about 4:07 , those are birds. I couldn't see any other flying crafts in here. In the show there were the recon bots, the craft lil flew, and the ships at the end which wern't in this video. They were flying in an odd pattern and look like they have flapping wings, so i say birds. I guess they may be to symbolize the world becoming habitable again.

As i see their relationship was represented realistically.. and so it was quite complicated (I love the girl but what does she feel? - I sometimes have the same questions in real life). All in all i would say yes. But what is true is that Vincent was more than a friend for Re-L.

@VexerZero If you are looking for something that is animated in a dark manner like ergo than no. But hack sign is more dialogue and plot driven than action driven much like ergo and hack sign is exetremely good like ergo. I would highly recommend it.
