In any case anarchy should in theory use a communist organization of resources but whit direct democracy.
@braindance77 Anarcho-communism doesn't rely on a central government. Read Kropotkin. Lot of Crass supporters are anarcho-syndicalists and anarcho-communists. Very socialistic, but more importantly not the state socialism you have in mind.

Your way off on all points. Most members live in average apartments/houses or in a commune. As for humans being greedy- that is an excuse. Some are, just as many are not. They are "hippie" like since you like labels, but that is a symptom of their lifestyle. Anarchism is not so much a political system, as a "philosophy" of living and interacting.
Crass surfaced at exactly the right time , C.N.D were at their height , The Pistols had split , The Clash went reggae , the kids at that time were disillusioned with politics and were concerned at the constant threat of nuclear armageddon . Crass were singing about all those issues and made a good connection , two years earlier it would not have worked and two years later it would have been too late , I suppose like the Pistols they emerged at ecactly the right time , a good band in my opinion

Crass is a band that formed me the way I am today. A few weeks ago Steve Ignorant was in Amsterdam to play Crass songs acoustic. The entrance was 17,50 euro. Travelled 60 km to see him and I felt ripped off by this high price by the band that introduced the anarchy symbol into punk. But I still can't live without their music.
@1337owers I went to an event put on by the 'Crass collective', they used Crass imagery in the flyers to sell the night, but it was a Jazz club and restaurant. coz we had the cheek to talk while they were doing their earnest Jazz ditties and got told off

Respond to this video...Thats rough paying a steep price like that, but gigs are his bread and butter, his job is as Sea rescue crewman in the public funded lifeboat assosiation for which there is no pay. They can work 24 hrs shifts for £ nothing.
After all these years he deserves a bit of financial security from the musical life path he took, hes not getting any younger and he deserves a stable life at his age.

I always loved CRASS. Not because they were anarchists...or because they were political. I liked them because they were pissed. They knew what they were talking about. Their poetry and music were always awesome. And their objective wasnt to establish anything. They always knew it was impossible. Great art, great ideas, great influence on me. The name is CRASS not Clash.

Alot were surprisingly LGBT, vegans, and alot were OLDER. Not the stereotypical looking punks. It was awesome. I was dragged to the 100club once to see the Exploited with a Skinhead mate, when the support bands came on t'was Crass and Annie Anxiety! We were confused, S.Ignorant said "all punks should stick together" etc. and they played a great set Then Annie Anxiety really staggered and unnerved the Skins with just her Poetry.
When the Exploited came on all Wattie said was "you like Crass? Crass are crap. Punks not dead!!" and their rubbish set began

Crass is a band that formed me the way I am today. A few weeks ago Steve Ignorant was in Amsterdam to play Crass songs acoustic. The entrance was 17,50 euro. Travelled 60 km to see him and I felt ripped off by this high price by the band that introduced the anarchy symbol into punk. But I still can't live without their music.

Respond to this video...Thats rough paying a steep price like that, but gigs are his bread and butter, his job is as Sea rescue crewman in the public funded lifeboat assosiation for which there is no pay. They can work 24 hrs shifts for £ nothing.
After all these years he deserves a bit of financial security from the musical life path he took, hes not getting any younger and he deserves a stable life at his age.
And He deserves it for, all hes given us in the past 30+ years.

Their poetry and music were always awesome. And their objective wasnt to establish anything. They always knew it was impossible. Great art, great ideas, great influence on me.
