Oh my God, The thing looks amazing at any concert with strobes, lasers, etc. I LOVE IT. Although, I'm looking to upgrade to A Pearl Reference or Masters Custom soon.

I have seen it as both.

From what I can tell, it is usually MRX, but on a trip to London in 2007, I also found a MMX.

Same high quality drums, just a different sound between the 4 and the 6 ply construction.

Masters Custom Extra is the MRX series, and is 6 ply maple. The Masters Custom (not extra) is the MMX, and is 4 ply maple.

It started life as a Chad Smith signature set, but then I got greedy and had the 8x8 and 10x9 additional toms ordered and made.

I am not sure, they have changed the Masters series badges and this is a very custom wrap so you will have to get in quick.
