hi, wie hastn du das ding gejumpert? ich hab mir auch son cf-adapter besorgt und hab, wie du, ne 8gig karte drin. leds aug dem adapter gehen zwar an, die speicherkarte will ihm aber nicht in den sinn kommen. laptop ist auch x31

CF can never never work like a regular HD even with 300x, unless u stripe your xp down to like 300mb then you may have a chance to run it smoothly.

Do you recomend using a CF as a HDD in a Laptop ?, y got a hp nc 2400 with a 60 GB hdd at 4200rpm, my problem is ... that the hdd is 1.8 inch =S ... some kind of trouble getting one in Mexico =S ... so i was looking for the cf option

where did you placed CF card ? into CF card slot, or with some replicator on place where is disk original situated ?

is possible to boot from CF card that is in CF card slot ?

simply buy an CF/IDE Adapter from ebay for 2$ an a Transcend 300x CF Card

or if you want more speed buy a ZIF/IDE adapter and use a MTRON SSD

Not bad. I prefer capacity over speed though...so I would have a tough time parting with my 250GB Western Digital drive in my Thinkpad X31.
