i have one "atmosphere" he love it outside, but runs in and out. I would rather not have him outside, but he is a pain about litterbox training. I have tried all of the tricks and different suggestions i have read about. i have to clean his box daily basically after every use and even then he like to leave little gifts here and there and i just can not tolerate it any more. I love him to death i hope it will change after he is neutered.
i want one! Bengal cat i mean..(the snacks i can get a hold of)...they're just really hard to come by where i'm at and with the travels i would have to make to buy and and bring it back home, just can't afford it.. Nothing wrong with dreaming in the meanwhile though..oh sigh, they're so beautiful....
It's smart of course to know to open up the cat snack bag, but you'd think he'd open it faster, they crunch through little animal bones so fast usually! Is he declawed?
If you look very carefully at the arms, there's a fine collection of little leather chewed frilly bits...all thanks to our Maine Coon Amber, who thinks it's her own personal scratching station. Can't fault the sofa though - Saxon Sofas know how to build a tough piece of furniture- it's had to contend with 9 cats/kittens, various rescue cats/kittens plus a 38kg doberman who bounces about on it like it's a trampoline.
Oh and my two bengals also like to do this trick with the big sacks of purina one, so when I go to fill there bowls the floor gets covered thanks to a sneeky little hole in the side! lol
Glitterglam was one we looked at- we also contacted Wildside and Alfie is one of theirs (via a friend who's cat was a Wildside) - he's got a Millwood in his recent pedigree and he's a complete nutter. We've also now got a rescue bengal and she is almost as bonkers as Alfie - she stalks him and follows him everywhere- even all the high places where she ought not to go because she has an old pelvis injury and a broken tail.
i have a bengal cat and if u get one dont leave your doors or backdoors or windows open cus they are explorers and if they get out they would like to stay out lol and they love to be loved just like mine
Know what you mean - Alfie did manage to escape (once) but we have chains on the open windows now and a mesh safety door to stop him dashing out. Our other Bengal is less of an esapologist, fortunately.
Oh and the daft dobermutt was asleep upstairs when this video was shot- otherwise, she wouldve snatched the packet away from Alfie and opened it herself in seconds flat!
haha, my two siamese cats tear open and eat the sachets of sheba we buy lol ... can get VERY messy ... oh, they also open my nail polich box and gt the foam toe dividers and devour them lol ...
OMG OMG OMG LOOK THE FREAKIN KITTY...IT'S SOOOOOOOOO CUTE! Hopefully i will be getting one one day...BENGALS ARE ONE OF THE BEST CAT BREEDS, Next to Ragdolls ofcourse!
your bengal is beautiful, and its cute seeing him open the bag. but you need to take of his collar, this presents a HUGE danger. especially with their love to be active and getting into things, there's a great chances of him hanging/hurting himself badly.
Is it okay if you use a little kitty harness on them instead? I do that with my cats so they still have their ID tags when they go out, but if they get snagged on a tree they wont hang themselves.
Dogs and cats seem very comfortable with the concept of ripping open packages. Same idea as prey with skin--they will try to rip the skin off to eat what's inside (unless it's something small, like a mouse). They seem to know this instinctively.
Thanks for the comments- he's such a little mischief maker he needs the bell indoors too, just so we know where he is and what he's up to! Love him to bits, even when he is being a villain...He has competition now from our other rescue bengal Beauty (we call her the bunny boiler because, like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction, she likes to stalk Alfie..)
My bengal can be in the next city and hear the sound of the treat bag. It is amazing. I have to hide all the bags in drawers, otherwise, during his nightly stalking about, he rips into them.
it's funny. my cats will rip into their bag of Nutripet cat food if I let them. they'll do this even if they have food in their bowl. i think it's the bag they like to destroy.
lol no, they like to get into any bags really. but if it's food they like they just attack the bag. I have to keep doughnuts in the fridge otherwise they'd get into those too. but they do love that brand :P
I'd heard that some people are paid to put little product placements online and I thought I'd come across my first example of that being done. I'm glad I was wrong as I find the idea of such product placements quite distasteful.
Yeah product placements suck, but you can think you're seeing one anytime there's a recognizable product. Because with home videos like this they're going to have a product not an unmarked bag.
He's a Royal Canin and Burns boy really- this was a sample we received through the post. Thanks for the lovely comments - he's a fab cat with a fantastic character.
Ugh my siamese did that one time. I had treats in a bag on top of the fridge. She jumped up there, brought the bag down, and went through two layers to get her treats. I miss her:-(
And now you have crumbs all over the sofa!

If you are based in the UK I would reccomend Glitterglam breeders, the place I bought my two from. If you type it into google they have a website!

or just use the SAFE break away collars so if they do get snaged it just comes right off and they dong get hung or hurt.

dunno why people dont like the bell...
if its an outside cat it needs the bell so you can hear where it is, and to scare off birds so they cant attack them

I think you should get him a normal quick release collar. That bell would drive me nuts, just think how he must feel.
Also i'd suggest you always keep an eye on him when letting him do this just in case he swallows some torn bag.
Lovely cat though !
