My friend actually sent me this video. I commented to show the people, Like you, who thought that they knew a lot about drums, that they were wrong. Where in the hell do you see him it the cymbals 50/50? It's clear he hits straight on. And I really think you know nothing about music. So what you need to do right now is stop replying because your making yourself seem very stupid.
The technique only really matters to the drummer. There is no right or wrong technique, but there are techniques that can be more comfortable than some other and can really improve your drumming and the way you sound. He doesn't sound all bad even though he might not be using the most comfortable technique. The thing that matters the most is sounding nice and not ruining your drumset completely while you're at it.

Joe Called him one of the best musicians on this side of the planet.... I think I might throw up. As far as Rockstarshick said about his age, he's like 17 and he's not going anywhere with drumming (or guitar for that matter). I am fourteen, have 2 broken wrists at the moment, and can play better then what was just seen. They were noticed, which does take some talent, But I agree with the person who said they should be signed with a real record company. Although it wouldn't make a big Difference

I haven't heard too much by her yet...my friend actually started listening to her a while back and I've been on a new music kick lately so I listened to a couple of songs and she's so incredibly talented. I'm beyond jealous lol..but yeah I think the one I liked the most was called "Doing Something Wrong"
lol thats one of my favorites and its called doing the wrong thing. i played it for my school talent show but nobody knew what is was. and i am continuosly envious of her and her talent. it is just amazing.
the hardest part is getting the finger picking style down. one you have that it is a piece of cake but i only know a couple of her songs due to the high difficulty rate but i am working on learning more
Oh, and btw I've actually seen Animosity and The Black Dahlia Murder multiple times, and I hope to see Killswitch Engage very soon (I always seem to miss them). Since The Black Dahlia Murder are from Michigan (where I live) I actually see them, mostly Trevor, at a lot of shows. And Killswitch is just plain amazing..Howard's vocals are killer.

Real drummers don't need a double pedal and playing fast doesn't mean jack shit either. And as for the blast beats, Are you serious? Blast beats are the most easily learned thing as far as metal drumming goes. Nick jonas may not be the best drummer but I do believe he is self taught and that takes at least a little talent.

Your welcome. He's not great but does show potential for the future. I'm sure as soon as he gets older and feels that he's ready to explore his own creativity he will be good. But for now, Disney is limiting The Jonas Brothers musical ability and not letting them explore the depths of musical composition and theory. Maybe if they were signed to a real record company they would be more creative.
@bamdude3 Well now Nick has his own solo album out and Joe is coming out with one next year. :) Nick also performed as Marius in Les Mis. I think they have explored more since last year.

There is no best drummer a live. As far as a combination or Speed and Style I would definatley say Buddy Rich and Jojo Mayer. Hell, Jojo mayer invented his own genre and it rocks. But that doesnt make them the best. Thats like saying who is the best painter in the world. I mean, you wouldnt ever say a comic book drawer but you cant really have a definate anser.

actually i find that comment offensive. not beacuse i think nick can drum cuz he cant. so i agree with you in that aspect. i mean people playing plastic rockband kits have more talent than him but that is besides the point. i am a teenage girl and i have been a long time jonas brothers hater ever scince they came out. your comment was very sexist and i can make you a list of wonderfull female drummers out in the world. point being females know just as much if not more than males on some things.

I take offense to this too.
Nowhere in my description does it say that Nick is an amazing drummer because he's not, he's average. It's something he has to work on, just like every other drummer does.
Yes, I'm a girl, but I've seen some of the most amazing double bass-pedal players...for example Tim Yeung from Divine Heresy who's one of the fastest metal drummers out there right now.
Don't make assumptions because not all fans only listen to the Jonas Brothers. I appreciate ALL music.

I haven't heard too much by her yet...my friend actually started listening to her a while back and I've been on a new music kick lately so I listened to a couple of songs and she's so incredibly talented. I'm beyond jealous lol..but yeah I think the one I liked the most was called "Doing Something Wrong"

the hardest part is getting the finger picking style down. one you have that it is a piece of cake but i only know a couple of her songs due to the high difficulty rate but i am working on learning more

Oh, and btw I've actually seen Animosity and The Black Dahlia Murder multiple times, and I hope to see Killswitch Engage very soon (I always seem to miss them). Since The Black Dahlia Murder are from Michigan (where I live) I actually see them, mostly Trevor, at a lot of shows. And Killswitch is just plain amazing..Howard's vocals are killer.

Real drummers don't need a double pedal and playing fast doesn't mean jack shit either. And as for the blast beats, Are you serious? Blast beats are the most easily learned thing as far as metal drumming goes. Nick jonas may not be the best drummer but I do believe he is self taught and that takes at least a little talent.

Um... no, thats not what I'm saying. If you do other stuff thats fine, but the way you commented made it come off like blast beats and playing fast is your only view of good drumming. What I am saying is that if he didn't have talent, he couldn't play at all. And so what if you could do more the first time you played. Everybody learns at a different pace. I'm not a Jonas Brothers fan myself but you don't see me being a dick to everyone that has a different taste in music.

Your welcome. He's not great but does show potential for the future. I'm sure as soon as he gets older and feels that he's ready to explore his own creativity he will be good. But for now, Disney is limiting The Jonas Brothers musical ability and not letting them explore the depths of musical composition and theory. Maybe if they were signed to a real record company they would be more creative.

@bamdude3 Well now Nick has his own solo album out and Joe is coming out with one next year. :) Nick also performed as Marius in Les Mis. I think they have explored more since last year.

There is no best drummer a live. As far as a combination or Speed and Style I would definatley say Buddy Rich and Jojo Mayer. Hell, Jojo mayer invented his own genre and it rocks. But that doesnt make them the best. Thats like saying who is the best painter in the world. I mean, you wouldnt ever say a comic book drawer but you cant really have a definate anser.
