this is the wrong way to throw, if you dont know how to whip ur throwing forearm your in for a hurtful season. everyone listen up work on your fastball mechanics if ur not hitting 86-95mph on your fastball then you need to learn the right mechanics. yeah his mechanics do stink. you rush your delivery a little too much, as you lift your leg you should slow down, balance yourself and then explode rotating your hips slightly. if you watch a major league pitcher, you will see a slight slow down after the lift and then an explosion as they stride towards home. watch greg madux

i have just been throwing this playing catch with my friends and when i want to hit them i usually just hit this and i hit them in the foot or bounces on the ground and hits them in the chest... great video though i have used this quite a bit in games and struck out almost all the batters

a trick i do for 12-6 is think of keeping ur middle finger in front of your thumb and throw like a fastball (think fastball in your head, but keep middle finger in front of thumb

first of all, your elbow needs to be above your shoulder for ful capable break. and curveballs dont have foward spin, they have side to side spin for an up and down break. dont post videos if you dont know what your doing

First of all, the elbow's height in this video is mainly used for demonstration. I know that you need to get the elbow high up to "pull down" the ball. Second of all, a curveball will curve DOWN with FORWARD spin, and the ball will curve SIDEWAYS with SIDEspin. Plus if your curve has sidespin, it will probably be crushed and will ruin your arm. Maybe you should do your homework before you decide to comment on a video.

dude quit being a dick, there are different types of curveballs, some are 12-6 and others are more diagonal. the more SIDEsipn you have, the more sideways it goes and the closer it is to becoming a SLIDER. but a curveball CAN have complete topspin, i throw one that 90% of the time goes strait down, no diagonal at all.

Moreover, the grip is personal, so he should have shown diferent grip. He also forgot to precise to use a bigger arm angle to get more speed and consistancy.

Second thing: you either can lock you wrist before throw or in the motion. I personaly have a nice one and did researches on pitching, so I can prove what ever I say, which is not seem to be his case.

this video is actually pretty informative, except for a few incorrections. 1 being you're not suppose to grip the ball so far in your hand. you're suppose to keep it on your finger tips, so its easier to snap your wrists and to spin the ball off w/your fingers. you're also suppose to have the arm motion like you're throwing a fastball, otherwise you will get destroyed out there
