The idea that faith can be seperated is a foreign concept to me. I respect the fact that your agnostic with roots in Christian principles, but Christianity is more than just principles it is a lifestyle that says I no longer live for myself, but I now live for Christ.
Christ died for us whether we realize it or not, and those of us who have experienced the grace that was poured out on the cross for us, desire for others to experience that same life saving grace. Therefore we strive to live a life that points people to the Savior not ourselves.
@VilleVonFastFingers Also, knowing Jesus Christ as Savior is a personal relationship, but Christ has called us (those who belong to Him) to preach the Gospel to the world making disciples of all the nations. So while ouor salvation is personal it doesn't stop there.

I have been through some rough parts in my life and turned to religion, and I'm not sure why, but it didn't help me. I don't live for myself and I don't live for Christ, I base all of my actions to help everyone around me. If I didn't have the compassion and love for my fellow man, I would have seriously killed myself long ago.
@MrPreachercop addition: I just don't like it when people pray and that is it, If people pray and don't do anything, then I am not sure that they made a difference at all, but, for those of them that pray and take action I have much respect for. I plan on doing little praying and doing a lot through my actions. As I said, I am agnostic so I do pray every now and again but for other people, never for myself. I'm not sure if it works "hints agnostic" but I don't see how It can hurt.

As a Pastor of a church in a lower income neighborhood I can relate to this song, so many people feel like they will not be accpeted at church because of their look or life. Too often the church forgets that we are all sinners saved by Grace!!!! Thank you Lord for your Grace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MrPreachercop all i was saying is that this isn't really the place to talk about religion, church is. it should be an individual life style and the only talk should be in the church. with people in less than pleasant life situations, I think it is cool because they use it as a source of strength to get out of the situation. and what do you mean "represent the savior". @VilleVonFastFingers my comment "representing the Savior" is speaking to the way we act and speak represents more then just us. If you know Christ and are apart of the family of God then what you do represents more then just yourself, it represents Christ to a lost and dying world. What we do affects the way people see God. In fact if you watch the video this is the kind of things this song is speaking about.

@MrPreachercop Just an fyi I am agnostic with beliefs that have roots to major christian principles. But I think It is bullshit to "what we do affects the way people see God." Yes if people see religious people acting crazy then they will wonder, BUT if people are Closed minded enough to change their views of god just because of how people represent him, then I don't have anything to say to them. Knowning jesus and believing in God should be a personal relationship so to speak.

@MrPreachercop And I'm sure the song is about people thinking that they are not worthy of knowing Jesus, thinking that jesus is going to judge them on accounts separate from their actions. I'm agnostic and all I am really saying is that We shouldn't be talking about religion on a music video, we should be talking about how The Ambassador creates and exicutes his art form.

@VilleVonFastFingers Ambassador's art form is about religion. My faith in Christ is inseperable from anything I do, it defines me and is who I am. The idea that faith can be seperated is a foreign concept to me. I respect the fact that your agnostic with roots in Christian principles, but Christianity is more than just principles it is a lifestyle that says I no longer live for myself, but I now live for Christ.

Christ died for us whether we realize it or not, and those of us who have experienced the grace that was poured out on the cross for us, desire for others to experience that same life saving grace. Therefore we strive to live a life that points people to the Savior not ourselves.

@VilleVonFastFingers Also, knowing Jesus Christ as Savior is a personal relationship, but Christ has called us (those who belong to Him) to preach the Gospel to the world making disciples of all the nations. So while ouor salvation is personal it doesn't stop there.

@MrPreachercop Thanks, I just don't like the part, even though I respect it, about living for Christ. I have been through some rough parts in my life and turned to religion, and I'm not sure why, but it didn't help me. I don't live for myself and I don't live for Christ, I base all of my actions to help everyone around me. If I didn't have the compassion and love for my fellow man, I would have seriously killed myself long ago.

@MrPreachercop addition: I just don't like it when people pray and that is it, If people pray and don't do anything, then I am not sure that they made a difference at all, but, for those of them that pray and take action I have much respect for. I plan on doing little praying and doing a lot through my actions. As I said, I am agnostic so I do pray every now and again but for other people, never for myself. I'm not sure if it works "hints agnostic" but I don't see how It can hurt.

So your compassion and love for your fellow man is what Christ calls his people to. Hip-hop and religious songs shouldn't be together, the bible says "I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are warm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth." God is saying that you should be one or the other and if you are both He will spit you out.... Just my opinion...

The verse you are talking about has nothing to do with Christian Hip Hop. What these talented brothers and sisters are doing are reaching out to those who are lost who like to listen to hip hop and rap music. Please listen to the words and dont let the beat fool you, THIS IS OF GOD. The first time i saw this particular video, God touched me in a very special way and even brought teers to my eyes. This is comming from a non-denominational Pastor who is not prone to emotionalisms

Most wouldn't associate religion with life now because of how corrupt we've gotten. but what they need to know is that it doesn't matter what you wear, how you talk, walk etc.
just believe in him and act right and your following the right path.
