  • Genesis 16:13

And she called the name of the LORD that SPAKE unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

  • *****.

  • And remember always that that "freedom" came out from genocides in the Turtle land. The FIRST Peoples were already there and they had already democracy, respect, freedom and sacred in their cultures.

  • @ Petergraves: There many ways to celebrate freedom: no need to desacrated a mountain. I don't like that "monument" at all.

  • Beautiful images of our precious Mother Nature.

I've never liked Mt. Rushmore -sacred to the Lakota the Firt People- desecrated by the white men with those four faces carved on the mountain. Arrogant attitude again. Sorry to say.

  • @Kimymela

Those four faces? If it wasn't for that guy on the left, we probably wouldn't have seen Democracy anywhere in the world today. If it wasn't for that guy on the right, slavery wouldn't have ended as soon as it did.

I'm happy to know you are religious and respect things sacred, but I think God wanted freedom to come into the world. I myself like nature in its own grandeur as well. That said, I think this monument to freedom isn't all bad.

  • @sgtmact Lol. No problem with me.

  • @sgtmact The song has nothing to do with me. So I am not getting defensive. I am getting 'upset' at people getting upset over a song. There is a difference ;)

  • @sgtmact Lol. I don't see what's funny. And I didn't 'bite' I am just saying. People are getting all upset over a song. THAT is whats funny

  • @MrAirbusDude EXACTLY So why do I see so much complaining about a goddamn song?

  • @MrAirbusDude Yes. I think it's fine having a patriotic song highlighting the good of America. Because the tune itself is not 'non-American' Can you automatically listen to a melody and know where it came from? No you can't. It's the words that make it "American" or not.

Both sound good. And neither have anything to do with each other. I doubt you hear in England "My Country Tis of Thee" Playing all over the place. And vise versa for the States.

  • @MrAirbusDude Lmao. Seriously. Who's to say the British didn't steal it?

Who gives a shit anyway. It's not a big deal.

  • @MrAirbusDude Of course its alright! As long as the lyrics are different.

  • @MrAirbusDude It's not like this melody was copyrighted.
