Game 6 is just an excuse for Kings fans to overlook the Kings blowing a 24 point lead in Game 4 and pissing their pants down the stretch of Game 7. Game 6 was horribly officiated, but it is now the crutch for Kings fans unwilling to admit that outside of Bibby, the Kings players shrank in big moments. The team shot 51% from the field in game 4, so it wasn't a one man "Bibby-like" show. I'll grant you that the Kings were more talented in 02, but not 'better'. Doug Christie, Chris Webber, Hedo, they were all choke-artists and it showed. 'Better' is playing well in big games, & only Bibby did that.

Game 6 is just an excuse for Kings fans to overlook the Kings blowing a 24 point lead in Game 4 and pissing their pants down the stretch of Game 7. Doug Christie said it himself that he was scared to death in Game 7, and obviously it showed. Game 6 was horribly officiated, but it is now the crutch for Kings fans unwilling to admit that outside of Bibby, the Kings players shrank in big moments. The Kings lost game 7 at HOME because they couldn't hit their free throws. That's not the refs fault.

yea after being big lakers fan for 27 years, i couldnt take this series seriously.
i was actualy afraid of being up against the kings because it was obvious they were the better team and a big threat to my team. after watching game 6 i was sick to my stomach, its almost like i watched a staged basketball game. im still a fan but any true basketball and true lakers fan would admit, we shouldnt have took this championship.

I dont give a fuck what anybody says...fixed or not the kings couldn't get it done they had a chance to go up 3-1 in the series. they needed one stop and rebound on that last play and they couldn't. Robert Horry hit a big shot and the rest is history. I'm surprised i haven't heard people say that the ball Robert Horry shot was magnetized and that' the reason it went in. Kings should have took care of business and there would have been a game 6 to fix.

this series was a joke, I dont think the NBA is fixed, but this series was insane with bad calls and the refs love for Kobe and Shaq. If you taught basketball to somebody who had never seen the sport and then show them this series, they would say that this was more of a WWF match, then a real basketball series.

Ugh this is so disgusting. Rick Fox all "Oh yeah we were looking for a challenge all year. We needed them to prove they were worthy of this matchup." THEY HAD A BETTER RECORD THAN YOU. Not to mention, the only game the Lakers truly won was Game 1. Horry made a great shot in Game 4, but at the halftime buzzer, Samaki Walker hit a three that shouldn't have counted. That's a solid fact. They talked about it after the game on ESPN. LA won that game by only 1. So logic tells us they should've lost by 2. Sacramento should have won the series 4-1 before the rigged 6th game even happened. It's amusing that some people are so biased that they even try to debate this.

Thats not the only game where bad calls happen, bad calls happen ALL the time game 2 of the finals this year was RIDDLED with bad calls made on both ends of-course some were good calls though, everyone was in foul trouble that game, but hey Refs are not perfect bad calls will be made, and remember during the regular season LA beat the Kings 3-1, LA was just better.

This is the last NBA game I watched. David Stern is not going to cram the Lakers down my throat. Let him choke to death on Kobe Bryant. I'd rather watch the NFL....at least that league had about a half dozen teams that have a chance in hell of winning. The theory is that the series was supposed to be extended to 7 Games. In fact the Kings shot more free throws than the Lakers in Game 7 which was at Arco Arena.

The worst officiated game in the history of the NBA. Watch the entire game again. Actually, watch the entire series again. The Lakers were favored that entire series by the referees.

Game 4 waz 1 by a lucky buzzer beater with 0.08 on the clock. When Kobe bryant elbowed Mike Bibby, Mike should have shot two free throws which have made the game 104 kings 103 lakers n the ball cause of the flagrant. but what happened. kobe shot both free throws which made it 105-102 lakers. The lakers only won game 7 because the kings were too nervous in the last possesions of overtime. The kings had to foul with each lost possesion

He was just pissed that he was the one who tipped the ball towards Horry instead of securing the rebound for a win and maybe, just maybe the kings would have been a different franchise today. They won game 5, had they secured the rebound in game 4, they would have been champs. That is why i don't care how much the kings fans cry foul, the kings choked when it mattered most. Even with bad calls, They could have still easily won the series. THEY CHOKED.

IF the NBA was rigged the Knicks in the largest market in the US wouldn't be such a crappy team for the past decade with just 2 playoff appearances in 11 years. Or the Boston Celtics, the most successful franchise in NBA history only being relevant in the past 4 years after almost 2 decades of mediocrity. And if the NBA was fixed the Spurs and the Pistons wouldn't have won any championships because they are small market teams.

LA is a massive market itself anyways and the norcal socal rivalry was huge. They pushed it to 7 games because more games, especially close ones, mean more hype and more revenue. And what was easier, helping LA push to game 7 or bringing up the Knicks in that season? The FBI already found the fixing to be true in 02

Since the topic seems to be how much the Kings suck, the Kings had this one year.. They were robbed of this series, and in essence, likely a title. The Lakers on the other hand, have buttloads of titles and were handed game 6 (maybe not game 7, but moot point as the Kings had them closed out in 6), and handed yet another title, big whoop to LA... Just another drop in the pan. While the theft/fixing/conspiracy meant a world more to the Kings franchise.
