why does everyone keep thinking that Blood+ is a sequel to Blood the Last Vampire when it's not it's inspired by the movie and is apart of the Blood franchise, but it's not a sequel to Blood The Movie it's only part of the Blood franchise it does however have a few allusions and basic elements from the film simply put that one flashback scene of Saya. I mean it be stupid to call Blood+ a sequel when to much info from Blood+ can't be traced back to Blood The movie.

No. Blood+ IS a spinoff or reimagining of the last vampire. the story of + are more different, advance and tells more who saya is than the movie.

For Blood-C, it is also a spinoff but saya in this series are same saya from the last vampire. so we can say that this series are some sort of sequel.

i personally like this Saya, i like the old blood + but the fighting style at blood C is just to epic. we can really compare the two series the only thing they have alike is the name. so haters chill a lil bit. it was a decent anime =)

@kejlu Blood-C is slow... but you do have to appreciate the animation in it. The storyline was obviously "predictable" but it takes CLAMP back to their roots of telling long storylines and leaving things open-ended like their old series' (Blood-C reminds me of X-1999 story telling-wise if that makes sense?). CLAMP also did a lot of mature scenes for a group of 4 women, you rarely see any gore or bloody scenes from the group so it was a change of pace for them :)

@ordemarebys well it's more that the anime starts off slow gets better the more you get in it and comes off with an epic finish since it's a CLAMP anime that's what one expects since all CLAMP anime pretty much do that. ^_^

Much like the C was different from the series before, this looks completely different from C. I will be the first to admit, I did not enjoy C. The M. Night twist at the end (specifically the bunnies) was the nail in the coffin. While it looks visually impressive, I probably won't watch it until I see a full review. Also glad your eye's doing better Saya (it's like they don't even want to admit C happened)

@informyougamer21 Blood-C is sort of a continuation from Blood:The Last Vampire. Blood+ was mrely a spin off from Blood the last Vampire, like an alternate telling of the story and is not connected to Blood-C(Blood:The Last Vampire at all.
