@cadaverock It is pretty expensive but it's worth checking into. Our insurance covers most of the cost. As you can see in the video Jake still has a pretty large birthmark after 22 treatments but when we started his was pretty thick (purple & swollen) For some people it completely fades the birthmark for other it just lightens it. It's made a big difference with Jake's birthmark even though it's still there. He's stopped treatment because the birhtmark was disappearing too much.
Stay strong buddy, yours looks very similar to the PWS I have on my face. You are a great looking kid. You already have done more than I have. I'm Super scared to have it done.
I have one too kiddo! Don't let it get in your way! I've been getting laser treatments at Shriner's Hospital for Children sense I was 4. Live your life and don't let your beauty mark get you down! I think of it as a blessing, because I'm the only person in my whole school district that has one and everyone thinks its amazing. Good luck and God bless! :)
i have a port wine stain just like yours only mine is on my left cheek and a little smaller but i have only gotten 16 laser surgerys and today was my 17th and i also had a new doctor and boy i hate anistesia but luckily i will not have to do it next treatment
I once knew a young man named Cody who had a port wine stain. Mostly everyone loved him because he was such a cool and decent person. I once saw a few people pick on him and he just turned to them and said, wow you much feel pretty bad about your beautiful selves to be making fun of me. Seems sad to be so goodlooking but not feel it inside. He was 11 when he said that. He is an amazing person and I wish I knew where he is now.
keep it up kid! I am a fireman in Toledo Ohio with the same thing as you. I never let it get in my way and people don't even see it. I am going to U of M next week to attempt lazer surgery yet again. Keep it up!
question to anyone does the treatment remove all of the birthmark? also is it expensive cause my wife has one on half of the face and it looks thick*

Ask about a lidocaine/epi shot in your gums, it knocked out most of my cheek for the treatment. Go back kid!
