Ok, so you're assuming this is about building the future of robots? It's actually a competition for building the future of humans. Learning is the key here, robot building is the keyhole.

Oh, Yes. The Human Form is so good for Everything.... Even if they could make a perfect androud (which they're far from doing) the Human form just sucks, it's main value is entertainment. When it's a question of bieng good for just about anything, Wheels are better for the job, and even when legs are better, definitely not bipeds . So think of it from an Engineering stance, not a "oooh that robot looks like this thing I saw in a Sci-Fi movie!!!"

you guys should see JAPANESE ROBOTS! they're better, they have arms, hands, legs and heads. they can walk, run, push up, jump and even fight!

these robots are just like RC cars with cranes. cheesy!

LEARN from Japanese!!! and compete with them!

I have seen Japanese Robots.

You should read about FIRST Robotics, and then, hopefully, you would understand that it's not about competing with the Japanese.

What Jap make now is the future of modern ROBOTICS!!! they can make a robot move like a humanbeing (Honda's robot) and even do something that all robots from western countries imposible to do such as all these toys on wheels I mean RC cars modified with some cranes and stupid poles!!! look at the JAP's!!! learn from them...
