Yes that's put there by the program which converted my camcorder tape to digital and you cannot remove it without paying a significant sum (can't remember how much to be honest but it wasn't $10). I think that would be a Navy F-18. You can kind of make out the broad flexed shoulder look of the Hornet. The Navy has the most aggressor squadrons of the US military. One of the most famous paint schemes the Navy uses is the Su-27 blues on Super Hornets, like the one I think is in this vid. VFC-12 operates most of the F-18s in composite service. Then there are other squadrons like VFC-13, VFC-111, and of course the NSAWC elements. Your opinion?

I don't think it's Alien. A airfoil drone prototype perhaps? I fly models that look similar that use simple horizontal prop foils for lift.
Nice footage though. The groom lake facility is just a higher classified airfield for prototype testing (in my opinion).

Think about the break up of the Soviet Union? Su-27s were in the hands of the likes of Belarus and Ukraine. All the U.S. had to do was splash the cash to obtain equipment for evaluation. As with previously operated ex-Soviet equipment give it another 10-15 years and it will be declassified.

at 2:42 you can kind of see 2 tails. It almost looks like an F-15 or F-22. Your video was too shakey, I'll assume you were very far. Looks as if the bigger plane behind it was just observing. looks like a DC9. and yes google earth is very censored. I think that would be a Navy F-18. You can kind of make out the broad flexed shoulder look of the Hornet. The Navy has the most aggressor squadrons of the US military. One of the most famous paint schemes the Navy uses is the Su-27 blues on Super Hornets, like the one I think is in this vid. VFC-12 operates most of the F-18s in composite service. Then there are other squadrons like VFC-13, VFC-111, and of course the NSAWC elements. Your opinion?

You can see the planform at 01:08. It is the classic aircraft recognition feature of the Su-27. Not even an F-18 will generate that planform. The details remain sketchy as to where the Su-27s came from. Jane's reported the fact that an An-124 shipped two crated Su-27s through Prestwick airport in Scotland during the early 1990s. That time was a gold mine for western intelligence as lots of equipment was up for grabs after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Belarus or Ukraine was the likely donor.

I have a friend that was there when he was in the air force, but he won't talk. He claims to have drawn a reprimand for "mooning" a spy sattelite as it flew over. Not sure how true his story is. I've seen the google earth photo though. It's an airfield. Wouldn't have known it was anything special from it.

They do look like F-15s but then MiG-29s and Su-27s do look similar. Not sure what shows on the video but the Russian types emit a characteristic puff of smoke when throttling up amongst other things.
