Hey, what kinda heli are you using in this video? And what kind camera and camera mount? I currently have a trex 450 sport with a camera mount that goes underneath the skids like yours and I'm using a go pro. I'm thinking of getting a trex550e with a mount that weighs 1.32kg do you think this heli will beable to lift this mount possible with a gopro? Either that or I was thinking of going with trex 700e with that size mount and putting my canon t3i on it. The mount I'm looking at is this:

Hey! I had an idea to do this kind of mount, but I wanted to see some rigs that other people had made. I saw this and was impressed. I kinda want to start making my own rig. Would a size 400 or even 300 be able to carry the GoPro? I don't want to spend too much, but I want to try it. Any tips?

@Glassmanog Trex 500. For aerial photography/video go electric. Nitro and electric are both fun to fly. I only use FPV quadcopters to film with now.

nice man! just some tips: don't film towards the sun cause of lens flares which ruins the clip, and also, find a editing software with good color correction and fix the colors better! but otherwise, this is awsome!

@VegardTollefsen and one more thing, i'm not an expert with rc choppers, but i think the clips would be better if you increase the speed when you're flying, not so much wobling!

@VegardTollefsen Flying toward the sun is one of the better ways to keep the shadow of the heli out of the picture. Rigging up a french flag or hood of some kind might be a better solution.

@SeaMarcDream Shadow of Heli proves it to be a genuine heli clip. Otherwise it'd be a fake. Interested in if the heli ever entered the water tunnel, to safely exit later. Otherwise - NO STORY LINE.

If you want to take your HD to the next level find a way to rig up a circular polarizer in front of the lens and adjust until you get it right. This will dramatically deepen the color and video won't be washed out by the light.

Awesome! I know that word gets used a lot; and technically it's used in the wrong context; but this is exactly what I'm aspiring to do! You make it look easy, but as FPVandotherprojects commented, it isn't!! I've just finished building, and done some test hovers on my Trex 500 clone, with the intention of mounting my HD Sony "Bloggie" camera to it. I'll probably crash it knowing my luck!

@ferrariguru I made a mount out of aluminium which "hangs" under the heli. I can manually tilt the camera before flying. I pan with the tail. PS1 make great mounts. Let me know how you go!
