  • I have a stupid but serious question (The model looks awesome and flys great) but if that's a scale Eurofighter model, and we are told the real one is so aerodynamically unstable and on the edge it can't fly without umpteen computers involved how come yours fly's without crashing with I presume no computers but you? Does the model have changed dimensions or is it a true scale of the actual airframe or am I being dumb? Cheers. MD

  • @md902A

The very first thing that such planes we could radio controlled without any computers is, that we have not the heavy weight like the original one. This Eurofighter is Scale 1/6.5, so I have must a weight from 2.384 kg xD but this Turbine Version weights "only" 19.5 kg and my Electric powered same size Eurofighter weight only 15 kg. The Size is Scale till pairs of millimeters. Second is the airfoil is not original but very close to it.

  • The third thing is the Center of Gravity, the original can go much more backwards in a instable stage to get a really high maneuverable Plane at high speed Mach >1.0 and at it´s weight. So it´s not anymore stable to fly it the "old way" you must have a computer -> fly by wire...

  • @RWJets Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Awesome model. :-)

  • @RWJets And so my next question logiacally is if you don't have the weight but a gas turbine powerplant then what is your power to weight ratio compared to the real plane? I bet your's is higher?

  • @md902A that I must answer with a no, My power to weight ratio on this clip with this turbine (it was a not so powerful turbine) is 1 / 0.71. The turbine has only max 14 kg of thrust. Because this Eurofighter was itself to heavy builded. But I has flown it also with a Turbine with more Power over 20 kg of thrust, it goes straight vertical and speed up.

My newer one is lighter but has also a other power plant look at my new clip: /watch?v=HRjUDwftI1E

  • @RWJets Ok thanks for your answers! :-)

  • Thx guys for 30.000 views till 2011 xD Happy New Year 2011 from Germany!!!

  • Really cool guys thx for your clicks on my vids...nearing 30.000 views awesome (^_^)

  • excellent try n get a small camera on the plane that would be cool eh

  • @scorps59

thx! Did test this this year (see on my other Video Soulcry)...will be on my New Typhoon at next year for sure xD (-_^)

  • hey, how fast does this thing fly?

  • Hi,

Got to ask I have an Skymaster F-16 but have been on for getting the Typhoon for ages but have yet to find a suitable kit of any kind.

Looking at you'rs its what i'm looking for! :D Tell me is it a self build or a kit. If a kit what one? or if self build do you have plans I could buy from you?

Also what's the flying characteristics like? :D I know the real thing would not fly without the computers... well unstable :D

    Cheers Fella!

  • @TY1990ish

Hi, This is self build from our molds, but you can buy a similar ARF, Eurosport Evolution from CARF.

This thing flys really great, very moveable, Scale, very very Slow Stall, short take offs and Landing are no problems, but a little different from other Jets. But this no problem at all...realy easy - >fun to fly.

  • Where can you buy one of these?

  • @conor1977 This EF nowhere because it cam from our molds, but can get a very similar EF from composite-arf or new twin seater version from faibao-jets

  • this IS really coool !!

  • Im not into RC at all.. but this thing sound just like a real fighter.. lol cool!!!

  • It got a jet turbine like on a real fighter just smaller :D

  • Can you say 9-11 inside job?

  • Hey thx guys for 10.000 Views on my Video!^^

  • haha it looks like a real thing when lifting off and in the air

  • looks like a rudder on the gyro. very nice.

  • complimenti bek modelllo e bravo pilota!

  • thats a cool jet we also have a eurosport

  • Yeah your right the stall is awesome, with headwind you can get it to 0 kph.

Top speed is around 300+ kph, its more a turbine barrier. With a heavy engine can get it to 400+ kph a friend had flown this with an identical Eurofighter.

  • how much would one of those be?

  • haha little shaky on that steering i see hahah..but nice id like to have 1 of those lol
