how to partition your drive (in vista)

And would doing a COMPLETE format of my HD fix a B.S.O.D.??? And the starting from scratch?

i love you. you fixe a problem i had. i had a 750GB external HD and it worked fine until i installed Windows 7, it said i only have 222GB but now its fixed. is there a way to make the 2 volumes 1?

reinstall windows 7, and when you get to the point where is asked you too choose what drive to install windows in, if you created the other dive then you should see it. then select it, format it and there should be a button you can click that should combine them.

222 GB hard drive at factory default

10 GB OBHD so when i open my pc there is only one removable hard drive and the 10 is either virtual or small?

When I click shrink I can't write any thing on the field where it asks for size to shrink.

Before I could write at least but that wasn't proper because it automatically gave the shrink for example it allowed me to shrink upto 22 MB only. I couldn't increase that.

This is my problem.

it's not the OS its where the master files are. use partition magic or something like that . or more the master files. use auslogics defrag to check where your master files are at.

well vista must be messed up then because i have a 320 GB HD with 200GB free so it's not space as a problem. maybe reinstalling vista may help, but that is such a hassle. Oh well, goodbye ubuntu and XP =(
