Not too expensive. I use grill tanks. And they last for at least 30 hours of use if not more. I've been surprised at how rarely i need to replace it. And I only use them occasionally so it's months between a change
Actually it was a pretty bright orange. I have videos of later versions of the forge that are much more efficient & burn hotter. This was what I put together in a couple of nights after the missus was in bed. My camera is one of those cvs one time use cameras that I hacked to make it reuseable.
Forge be damned, it's no more than a souped up gas oven.

try aiming the gas line down toward whatever u r heating. heating the side isnt quite effiecent.
is it expensive to use propane or gas forges?
