Spore will not come out before July 2007 on ALL systems. That's what Will Wright said a few weeks ago, and he should know it best.

I think, we can target on the last quarter in 2007 at the earliest, most likely some time before christmas to boost the business on that one...cause there still needs to be done something for the long-time motivation...

The problem I have with the wii is that my computer already out-powers the thing. In five years? Ech. I can however see the wiimote as a very powerful tool for games like spore. It makes porting harder, but I think it could finally give a good control scheme for console FPSs.

Hasnt been confirmed for every console. Its only been confirmed for PC's,PS3,Wii,PSP,DS, and mobile phones. But you have to be a compleat dick to think it will be better on anything else than the PC.

first off, they havent said what handheld its coming out on. dont get your hopes up on PSP. also, this isnt proven yet. also, the file size will be small because everything is precedural, meaning the computer analyzes what you do and then reacts, meaning there are almost no large files. will wright said that each file will only be 1kb. graphics may be nice but think abtou it, they arent too much better than the sims 2.

Like aliens that look like a Komodian from Star wars, or an alien from Aliens, or Protoss... Im not implying that every single increment of detail for something like that is achieveable, but the general structure of a creature. And cloths, if they become so advance, what about the cloths!

you can make them look like what ever you want them to, and it's not just customising the creatures. When you get the spaceship you can customise whole planets. This game is gonna be massive...

Pick up the latest June Computer Gaming World Magazine for a lot more info about Spore. Its all about creating worlds where you can fully customize creatures that either die off or move up and colinate other planets. Plus, its online, so if you get a winning combo that you want to test out on someone elses planet, you can do so. If all you like to do is gun and run, thats great for you, this games about creativity, not negativity.

You need to see the gameplay videos to truly understand the scope of the game... if you still don't like it, then don't buy it, but people have high hopes for this game and so do I. I'll still be the first to buy it. And for those of you who think it sucks because it has 'aliens'... then you have no imagination, no creative drive, and you basically lose at life. That's all there is to it. You can create your own creatures and customize like you wouldn't believe.

This is actually quite nerdy and intelligent. It deals with evolution. I wonder if we can influence nat. selection... like allopatric speciation, or sympatric speciation... the preview already shows the "founder effect." I wonder if we could also do population bottlenecks by making meteors hit our planet.

I remember an article about this game being developed a few months back (maybe even a year or so). This game is supposed be extremely dynamic. There is no set code. I don't understand the mechanics (I'm not a programmer or game designer...kinda) but it was something about the game code writing itself as you go along in the game... or something like that? At least... that's what it used to be. I don't know what it's like now.
