He was never very good in interviews, his seems to be frustrated with people, probably because the people on these shows fail to comprehend what he is trying to say! Love Carlin forever, I always wonder, if he was still alive today what he would have to say!
The rest of the panel need to get a backbone and count on themselves rather than the fairytale that is an ultimate being. So many brainwashed knobheads in this world.
....Most religions expect you to believe in their God, believe in what they say and is considered the norm, yet when you mention, (as I have done) that aliens flying ufo's have invaded our skies, and that you have seen them, (as I have) you are considered a delusional person, “ufo's don't exist,” you are told, "God is the only existence beyond our skies etc", then you might ask...."Have you seen God?" "No" they say, "but he's all around you" then you might say...Part 2 below...
Part 2…"But if you haven't seen him, then how do you know he exists, that he is all around us?!” ..."Because the word has been passed down through history, it is written down in the bible." ..."Then why don't you believe in my sightings of ufo's and the clear evidence of humans that have written/drawn aliens & ufo’s throughout human history too?" ..."Because the bible doesn't mention them!"…Part 3 below…
Part 3..."Got you there Mr. Religious man!" …”You expect me to believe in something you haven’t seen, yet, you won’t believe in the ufo’s I have seen and millions of other who have seen too, yet, not one person has seen God and shown any concrete evidence of his existence!” “So who has the more evidence of other worldly beings, you or I?!!”

We are all slaves to something. If your slavery seems ‘better’ to you because it is tied to what you believe is Universal Truth than so what? Your belief is just a different arbitrary aspect of an accidental process, and you cannot help but believe it.

Second part of the video....first time I see GC position properly explained, he just gave up on human spicies, stept aside and enjoyed the stupidity of what is going on.
George read the Quran. Perhaps you would gain some understanding. What about king Solomon. There was a man who lived in a time of wonder, demons, magic, speaking animals, sun worshippers. This man had control over the wind, the devils, speak to birds (literally) yet with all this power he choice to submit, neal before God in prostration and humility. Perhaps George can learn from him.
@lastsaracen Read the story of Kratos,he was a mortal in greece, who killed all the gods of olympus, and what he did was written by Zeus, the main god of olympus, who kratos didn't kill, but then Zeus submitted to Jesus along with his daughter and wife, then they went to heaven and watched tv and ate pop corn, but Kratos went to hell because he was an atheist, but in hell he killed satan and then went to heaven and killed jesus and a pigeon, that story is my guide to life.
I love that Roseanne interview, actually more than the yellfest from Politically Incorrect. Roseanne's an interesting cat. I like how she's sitting there nodding raptly, but also laughing in shock, like she hasn't necessarily heard this stuff before. She's just completely open to new ideas, which is a rare trait.
Lol I'm like that too with rooting for bad guys. When I watched the Dark Knight I rooted for the Joker, when I watched The Professional I rooted for Stansfield and even back when I was a kid watching Dora The Explorer I'd root for Swiper.
@grownman455 Something like that sure sounds like fun, but dont believe Bill Maher has something original/intelligent to kill those religious fucks, he just loved George Carlin so much he just repeats what Carlin already said.
Carlin and Hicks are true heroes, Bill`s an idiot.
@axlabe007 I bet you learn a lot from him. I learned more from Bill Hicks and George Carlin then I did in college. I felt like these dudes are giving lectures instead of doing stand up. haha
@grownman455 It's not a joke - literally true. the same thing happened to me. What Carlin and Hicks have done to my thinking - it's more than anything money can buy
I want to go to George's church! By the way,the news this morning said that Roseanne is running for president.I just know that wherever he is now,George is smiling broadly..................................
I am a Christian and I am a firm believer in God. It really embarrasses me that other Christians are trying to shove Christianity down non believers throats. If George Carlin doesn't want to believe in God, that's his choice and arrogant Christians need to realize that that's not going to change. Not with just Mr. Carlin (R.I.P.) but with all non believers. I choose my beliefs, they can choose theres. I have many friends who are non believers and I love them to death. All I can do is show love.
@razioth You are welcome. And I do not in any way whatsoever judge you. You're a human that can make your own decisions, not a pawn to be controlled by other people. Much love back to you and keep it real. Live life to the fullest!
@anistonlover08 Then you are not a Christian my friend, that's what someone has labeled you to be. You are a loving, caring, sentient human being, and if only HALF of the people were like that, the world would be a better place, you don't need a religion to teach you that or to act like that.
@anistonlover08 The problem is, your holy book says you should go out and proselytize others into your dogma. Also, the fear of eternal torture of other people might make you want to do it out of 'compassion'.
@anistonlover08 Considering the fact that you're a Christian, but I have no idea which type of Christian, I'd like to know if you believe in a literal hell? And do you believe that unbelievers will go there?
@anistonlover08 But you understand why you're torn? As a Christian, it is your duty to spread the word of your God. However, you can't really do that if you expect to be an open-minded person (Not to pick a fight, I just honestly need some rationale for this argument).
@anistonlover08 And that makes you a hypocrite of your own religion because Jesus himself said to teach his word to everyone, not let people choose their belief and burn in hell because you're too lazy to get off youtube and spread the word. BTW I'm atheist, so stfu about religion before you even start, because anything religious isn't going to apply to me in the slightest.
Oh come on. One of the few christians that are actually somewhat reasonable (this is coming from an agnostic, btw) is trying to be cool and call out all the uber-religious assholes on their BS, and u want to come back at her with an angry comment like that?
An atheist is never going to change a firm religious person's mind (and vice versa). Just let it be and take the path of pragmaticism on this subject. Even George loved the nuns that taught him as a child.
@JBelford44 I know all this, just thought I'd give someone a hard time. I don't bother trying to change someones mind because people try to do it to me and I know how much of a lost cause it is. Being raised christian for the 12 years I was fully devoted and then opting out of religion on my own reasons, I know what I need to know to hold my faith (or lack there of, however you want to phrase it) where it's at. I respect anistonlover08 for her comment and being an anti-antagonist.
I am an agnostic, and a George Carlin fanatic. Please ignore all of the hateful comments. You are awesome, and you have the most "liked" comment on this thread, and you deserve it.
Next time you receive a comment from somebody else besides me on this thread--delete it immediately. Do not get your blood pressure up, I want reasonable people to stay alive as long as possible.
"Thank you for being Christlike, and not just another Christian." --Bill Maher, Religilous
@JBelford44 Oh trust me, it doesn't phase me one bit. I have bigger fish to fry than to get into arguments on youtube with people. I simply just spoke my mind in a comment to this video (which I thought is what you're supposed to do anyway). I don't need to waste my time getting into it with people who disagree with my opinions and lifestyle, especially on youtube comments. Stupid. But thank you for your thoughts. Stay cool and live life to the fullest!
@JBelford44 I was a Christian at one time. I became a Jehovah's Witness, but I got kicked out when they discovered that I derive erotic pleasure from having a door slammed in my face.
Then, I became an agnostic. I would go knock on people's doors, hand them a pamphlet, and tell them that I wasn't too sure what I thought about it.
@anistonlover08 But you must believe that your atheist friends are going to burn in hell for all eternity. Don't you want to do everything in your power to spare them from that? And also, why would you worship a god who would torture your friends forever just because they don't believe in him?
@anistonlover08 Well said. I am not a Christian, nor am I religous. I do not believe in a supreme being. However, I share exactly your view about respecting other opinions and belief systems. It is the common ground we can occupy together.
@anistonlover08 See I'm actually ok with religious people pushing their opinions on me. Mind you, I don't like it if the try to make religious laws or use violence, but I'm fine with aggressive discourse.
@anistonlover08 You believe in believing. You cannot choose to believe something because it sounds good. If that was the case, in all honesty, I think most men would choose to be muslims so they could believe they're going to get 72 virgins after they die, rather than meeting up with old aunty Evelyn... don't you think?
I agree with George, God is gonna do what he wants to do anyway. Why pray. I actually do pray , to the saints, and while I certainly don't follow organized religion or believe in theology nor do I go to church, I have had some success praying to St. Jude and St. Anthony. I never had any luck praying to God. But I have the saints. They are intermeidaries of God and can deliver your petition on your behalf. Other than that, Religion has caused too many problems and confusion.
"I believe in the vastness of the universe and infinity, I believe in family and friends, I believe in love." AN AMAZING QUOTE! People don't realize the things that are most important and that they are right in front of us not in the sky.
We have religions because we have Fools, you get rid of the fools... Then u get rid of absurd religions. No more fools to empower the religions by paying them the 10% of their hard-earned money.
arguing about religion is a never ending thing. it pains me to think about how much more the human race could have acomplished if religion hadn't been so effective at dragging us down.
it's funny how religious ppl are open to different interpretations of 'god' when talking to atheists, and whatever atheist says, suddenly it's 'god', but lose all that openmindednes when talking to a person of different religion, or even different denomination of their own religion.
believing in love, and ppl, it's not 'god', it's opposite of god.
saying that everyone has faith therefore everyone believes, is like saying 'everyone has ears, therefore everyone can sing' - well I can't

Every person you saw in that video was a reptilian shapeshifter. If one looks at the video in a frame by frame manner, one will see an incredible amount of masking blocks covering up their morphing hands, arms and faces. Take a look for yourself. Those square/rectangular blocks that you see appearing over their bodies are actually hiding something.
@Apocol0id he always used to say "Goes doesn't dare to strike me dead" now he is dead and he must be really sorry for what he said because we're all going to die and we will go back to our creator so he will show us everything we will have done in this life! :-) The ones who did good deeds will go to heaven and the ones who did bad deeds will be either forgiven or go to hell! :(
@Nasbayern But, George WAS a good man. Look at all the good he brought to the world without needing church, or daily prayers. He brought laughter, mind altering experiences to many, and helped people shape their worldviews to be individuals, not slaves. He brought more positivity to this earth than some pastors. What has organized religion done for man? Made them slaves. It rendered a flowing, organic experience like life and turned it into a game of scores. Too many bad deeds? Sorry, you burn.
to pray IS useful! it can help you to express what you want and really need, and can bring your thoughts into an other level of your awareness. but you need to listen to yourself, and your subconscious mind will guide you. and no, I don't mean the "universal law of attraction" (which is still a nice placebo!), it is only a mind thing, but it is powerful.
@Hargaanti it IS about willpower, pure willpower. I just talk about a tool that helps you activate your willpower, which you can only do when you know the direction you want to go. You could also take a piece of paper and write you thoughts down to help yourself to get structure into it. "prayer" is like that, just without pen and paper.
I really wish a show like this would appear on Network TV again. I was far to young to understand anything when this show was on the air, and even though Real Time blows it away, i would love to see something like it re-appear.
Huh, the idea of a god w/ absolutely no evidence to support it gets respected. It's permission to believe, by the millions, that if believed in isolation would get an automatic diagnosis of mental disorder. Proof; that guy worried lightening would strike him for hearing someone's thoughts. Hehehehe, he should learn where it REALLY comes from-it's the 21st century. Ughhhh!
Hahahahahah!!!!!..George Made an Asshole out of that idiot Next to him...That Dude that Says i Just don,t want the Lightening to hit me'.......hahahaha!!! George Tells Him..Just RELAX PAL" RELAX!!..Calm Down!! No Lightening is gonna Hit ya!!!..hahhahahaha!!!
@sanriver12 HEY DONT JUDGE SO DONT SAY FUCK J....NO FUCK U NIGGA.....I DONT BELIEVE IN RELIGION BUT I WONT EVER SAY FUCK GOD OR JESUS...SO STOP SENDING PPL THE WRONG MSG
prayer does work in a lot of situations .. it works because it makes people really think about what they are wanting rather than just flapping around saying everything is wrong without knowing what they do actually want. It focuses the mind and makes it intense .. Most geniuses have been religious because at the frontier life becomes more spiritual than cynical .. the rules are different there ..
@LexSnipe49 Ha! that's me all over ;) I've found that in some places at some times a belief in God and in Prayer is amazing and really works .. in others it seems it just doesn't work and will get you killed. I like George Carlin .. but i think there's something he hasn't experienced... when i have functioned at a peak .. i find life gets really spiritual .. I mean really spooky spiritual. I think there is a level at which spiritual stuff really works .. do i make sense ?
the old religion is bullshit, but if we can create a new religion of intelligence - and keep this alive as individuals - then we can keep shit going. we have to feel at home with the universe and feel the sense of a higher order - without trying to control others and instill these insights forcefully
G.C. is one of 4 people in USA that actually has intelligence, high IQ, and rational thought.
May he rest in peace...The rest of you retards let the rich steel your country, your freedoms, your liberties, and your future from you. They are playing you like puppets, with their hands up your buts..
George Carlin is dead. What if he was wrong about his beliefs. And there is a heaven and hell. Where do you think he is now? Do you think he wants to come back and do things differently?
lets be clear about 1 thing, imagine all those people that believe in that person in the sky wake up and find out that he does not exist !!! all hell would break loose and the planet would not exist anymore within 10 years.. religion is invented to control people and scare them, and more important... to keep them scared about heaven and hell... im blessed that bullshit religions dont control my life... i consider myself and one of the few lucky and very happy people on this planet
He was never very good in interviews, his seems to be frustrated with people, probably because the people on these shows fail to comprehend what he is trying to say! Love Carlin forever, I always wonder, if he was still alive today what he would have to say!

GEORGE CARLIN WAS NOT AN ATHEIST--he was an agnostic (unless he changed his mind after his bit on 'Saving the Planet', i.e. 'The Big Electron')
Even in his older age he gives fuckloads of credit and love to the nuns at the very progressive catholic school he attended as a child.
You should stop getting off on getting ON other people like that--doesn't matter what god(s) you do or don't believe in.

@anistonlover08 Considering the fact that you're a Christian, but I have no idea which type of Christian, I'd like to know if you believe in a literal hell? And do you believe that unbelievers will go there?
Lleanlleawrg 3 weeks ago
@anistonlover08 But you understand why you're torn? As a Christian, it is your duty to spread the word of your God. However, you can't really do that if you expect to be an open-minded person (Not to pick a fight, I just honestly need some rationale for this argument).
TheKoxyx 3 weeks ago
@anistonlover08 And that makes you a hypocrite of your own religion because Jesus himself said to teach his word to everyone, not let people choose their belief and burn in hell because you're too lazy to get off youtube and spread the word. BTW I'm atheist, so stfu about religion before you even start, because anything religious isn't going to apply to me in the slightest.
burninmunkeys 3 weeks ago
@burninmunkeys
JBelford44 2 weeks ago
@JBelford44 I know all this, just thought I'd give someone a hard time. I don't bother trying to change someones mind because people try to do it to me and I know how much of a lost cause it is. Being raised christian for the 12 years I was fully devoted and then opting out of religion on my own reasons, I know what I need to know to hold my faith (or lack there of, however you want to phrase it) where it's at. I respect anistonlover08 for her comment and being an anti-antagonist.

CounterCultureLives 2 weeks ago
@anistonlover08 But you must believe that your atheist friends are going to burn in hell for all eternity. Don't you want to do everything in your power to spare them from that? And also, why would you worship a god who would torture your friends forever just because they don't believe in him?
Jessica616ify 2 weeks ago

I agree with George, God is gonna do what he wants to do anyway. Why pray. I actually do pray , to the saints, and while I certainly don't follow organized religion or believe in theology nor do I go to church, I have had some success praying to St. Jude and St. Anthony. I never had any luck praying to God. But I have the saints. They are intermeidaries of God and can deliver your petition on your behalf. Other than that, Religion has caused too many problems and confusion.

it's funny how religious ppl are open to different interpretations of 'god' when talking to atheists, and whatever atheist says, suddenly it's 'god', but lose all that openmindednes when talking to a person of different religion, or even different denomination of their own religion.
believing in love, and ppl, it's not 'god', it's opposite of god.
saying that everyone has faith therefore everyone believes, is like saying 'everyone has ears, therefore everyone can sing' - well I can't

Nasbayern 1 month ago
@Nasbayern But, George WAS a good man. Look at all the good he brought to the world without needing church, or daily prayers. He brought laughter, mind altering experiences to many, and helped people shape their worldviews to be individuals, not slaves. He brought more positivity to this earth than some pastors. What has organized religion done for man? Made them slaves. It rendered a flowing, organic experience like life and turned it into a game of scores. Too many bad deeds? Sorry, you burn.

xTheuglytruthx 1 month ago 6
to pray IS useful! it can help you to express what you want and really need, and can bring your thoughts into an other level of your awareness. but you need to listen to yourself, and your subconscious mind will guide you. and no, I don't mean the "universal law of attraction" (which is still a nice placebo!), it is only a mind thing, but it is powerful.

@Hargaanti it IS about willpower, pure willpower. I just talk about a tool that helps you activate your willpower, which you can only do when you know the direction you want to go. You could also take a piece of paper and write you thoughts down to help yourself to get structure into it. "prayer" is like that, just without pen and paper.

prayer does work in a lot of situations .. it works because it makes people really think about what they are wanting rather than just flapping around saying everything is wrong without knowing what they do actually want. It focuses the mind and makes it intense .. Most geniuses have been religious because at the frontier life becomes more spiritual than cynical .. the rules are different there ..
