  • Great song, hilarious video!

  • I like Duran Duran fine, but this was one of the worst Bond songs ever.

  • Lol! Action mans hairstyle was based on Des, or vice versa.

    Lol!!!!

But how fake is this???? LMAO!!!!!

  • Lol! Action mans hairstyle was based on Des, or vice versa.

    Lol!!!!

    Great video this though.

Nice one uploader. My favorite bond film too.

  • Andy looks like a Jawa. I half-expect to see him hauling away junk to take back to the ship on Tatooine.

  • @seanr456 jacked up, but funny

  • So damn grooooovy!

  • You don't hear EPIC Bond music like this anymore........

    =[

  • That coat of Andy's makes him look even shorter than he was...probably the opposite of the desired effect. Not easy being onstage next to couple of wookies like Simon and John. 8

  • I remember the day this was shown on TV. Our vcr was broken and my 13 year old self cried for most of the day because I didnt think it would be repaired in time. Luckily it was.

    Great song!

  • Playback hehehe

  • 5 Stars The Verry Best

  • they were and still are amazing,i love them so much, they saved me

  • AH I hate these damn 80's pop shows that make the bands lip sync! Just let the boys perform!

  • D.D. are the best band. Gran talento musical. Traspasaís la pantalla.

    Thank you for your songs.

  • I Love Simon so much :D

  • D.D. son un sueño hecho realidad.

Greats songs. I love so much.

  • I don't know why, but for some reason, Simon Le Bon looks like he's lip syncing.

  • Heis. Didn't u know everyone was in the 80's?

  • I agree-the vocals are too perfect!

  • not like him at all lol

  • They are all miming to the origional recording

  • This is kinda sad to watch cuz the whole band was still together but they didn't have like a glow or not as much laughter or happyness during this year. But they still rock and i'm glad they worked their differences out!!

  • The fatal kiss is all we need)love them very much!

  • i found this song was #1 in U.S. charts the day of my birth :P, if u wanna see your enter at thisdayinmusic . com, this is not a spam i swear :P

  • I remember this time clearly...was it May 1985? I was a kid of about 15 doing his first big exams....and of course i fell alseep just as this came on tv...regreted missing such an iconic piece of telly since...so thank you for uploading this

  • lip syncing

  • Duran duran seems the three stooges with this clothes

  • Totally great!

  • Simon is such an arrogant asshole !!

  • GOD They are sooo cute here, especially Johnny...L.O.R.L Love you guys! I'll Save A Prayer for you. =)

  • this stuff is so funny to watch...lol

  • At 5:10 Andy does a movement with his right hand close to his nose. I did not understand all the words because I am not English and they speak too fast and do not know if his movement is connected with the conversation...

"WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR THIS STRANGE BEHAVIOUR?"

  • wow i remember watching this....i was only 9 but already a big duran fan.....awesum!!!!

  • I have a bass like that.

  • Because of the indicated time "5:48" I was disappointed not watching the wonderful rare extended version.

  • The truth is that i also find it difficult to believe that .mp3 was used as a compression method back in 1985... But it's clear that in this video they don't perform live, but playback...

  • This is interesting that people think Mp3 was used in 1985. As far as i am aware 1987 is when Fraunhofer-Gesellshaft started a project called EUREKA that became mp3, this may have been title mp3 from the start however the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) did not officially form until 1988. Any alternative information on this would be interesting.

  • Are you a silly bird cow monster friend? You also must be real old to remember that oldie stuff. Are U old like freakin bloody 35 or sontin? Are you an old sodd like cow mix bird dog mouse cat? They had mp3's in 1985 my great great grandfather told me they had keyboard samplers that played all the music. It was recorded on a chip in the keyboard any sound and music you want. They just pressed a button like my IPOD and danced to it on stage. The EUREKA project was in like 1975

  • Wow - they get a really good sound for a band with no amps. The drums aren't even miked! Amazing.

  • ohhhhh, you are so silly you silly cow. silly silly cow you are oh my. they are not really singing for the camera they play the mp3 and they like moved their lips and sanced as if they were really singing but they lip sync. don't you know about music you silly silly ant cow fly moose?

  • If you claim to know so much about music, then explain us all the use of your own stated"MP 3" theory in 1985??????

  • Well svenroser; I claim to be a doctor and an engine or motor 2 are you fat? You sound like a fat person who suffers from IBS.

They had mp3's in the 1980's it was the old time radio stations that had them and used them to play Jimi Hendrix and The Doors.

  • They had mp3's in the 1980's it was the old time radio stations that had them and used them to play Jimi Hendrix and The Doors. Then they switched to CD's way back in the 1990's and now mp3's are ready for the public. But the Japs had mp3's before the rest of the world did that's how they recorded music way way back in 1985 when this song was made. I researched this on the web so I know it very well.

  • Well if you´re really such a Nasa kinda wizzard who gets set up by me,I sincerely doubt your background.Furthermore you´re posting an error again:"switched to c.d.s,way back in the ¨90¨s"; I guess we all still wonder what that´s all about? The 1st commercially available c.d.was Dire Straits Brothers in Arms in¨85. Get over it like a fat rat!

  • No No No, Dire Straits was recorded in 1957 with the Beach Boys in London & Spain at the Live Aid concert. Furthermore, I have very sensitive feelings dating way back to 1996 & you take "fat rat" back. They had those big black CD's in the 1990's like pancakes and taco's in a beer barrel. Are you racist?

  • those big black CD's played on those big machines that was spinning like when the wheel turns on your mothers car. And also your fathers car. Before that they had cassette tapes they had since like the 1930's or something. I saw one once some old school shit.

  • well they did really sing and they recorded what they sang and played so they could act like they were playing it on stage

  • You sound cool and nice. how do you know about these old things? Are you old like you must be like freakin 35 or something to know about these oldies. I'm stoked. This was even before CD's I think. They must have used those old school cassette tapes. My dad has one from like 1982 before he married my mom and my big sister was born in 1986 and put cup cakes in it

  • actualy no i think im probably half that age....i'm 13....and my mom and dad got married in the 90's but my mom was really one with the 80's so that's how i know about this stuff....kinda

  • My parents got married in 2001 yeah actually and I'm 5-1/2. I like mp3's and I like soda but mommy says soda will be bad for my teeth and shoes. My mommy is 12 and my daddy is 14 and my great great great great grandfather is a big DJ in new york city. We all hate Obama. Mommy says hes a big giant smelly anti-American lying extreme left communist socialist Muslim terrorist sympathizer. Even tho I'm only 5 I can tell because when I was little I studied the constitution when I was young.

  • Legs look longer in leather!

  • loved it then love it now loyal duranie grantie

  • lo mejor de los 80s

  • algun dia vendran al peru............

  • algun dia vendran al peru............

  • Who would have thought such a fucking great song would come from such a shitty Bond movie. No one remembers the movie and everyone remembers the song lol. It seems Duran Duran is finally getting the appreciation they deserve though.

  • It's a shame they lip synced i know it was common in those days, but singing live really captures the song

  • I love Simon's moves. :D

  • wow I just watched another video where they lip synched... cant believe they did that.

  • FYI - this was 1985, all bands who played on UK TV shows such as this back then lip synced, it was the standard of the TV shows themselves. Appearances like this were strictly to advertise a single.

  • ohhh.... thats gay though.

  • Love Terry Wogan, and I love Duran Duran a match made in heaven.

  • On this century this videotape is oldie but goldie

  • mimed. it's a shame

  • Why is it always Simon and John who speak?

Why don't they ever let Nick speak?

  • Nick is the most intelligent and the kindest of them all...

  • Well, I have heard him say some very catty things and so disagree profoundly with you.

  • what has he said?

  • hang on ukapertif....i've seen just about every duran video thing there is..i've hear mr rhodes in countless radio interviews..such a decent douwn to earth guy i have never known in music. Sorry mate, respect you r opinion but you have it wrong with nick rhodes there.

  • Lol, looks like how some of my videotaping of DD looked. YES, switch to the SP setting there. I love this!!

  • Is a playback but really nice to see

    thanks
