Because your lad Elphick (or El thick) wasn't showing respect, he was taking the piss out of a heartfelt gesture to Maidens from Barker. He was goading Barker and ran up to him as soon as you scored. That's not sportmanship, that is much worse. Even a Brighton fan site said that was disgusting.
