Paula thank you so much, for all you have done, and I am sure will continue to do, for the state of Florida. We heard you loud and clear. What you have given of yourself and what you have taught our communities has meaning and purpose. Your message will resonate strong and loud in our minds as we measure all subsequent candidates, at all levels of government, against the high bar you have set. We are better for having heard you Florida will be better. Your Friend - Carrie Seltzer
I keep wondering if there is some rule that says you could not have done it right here exactly the way you just did with this message......and so easy to share.... All the best to you Paula......there will be another election in 4 years......we still need you!
I am disappointed, but I understand. I just hope your Republican Counter Parts understand what you are saying. We need to start right here in Polk County with Campaign Finance Reform that the Charter Review Commission refused to place on the ballot!!!
To hear Paula here, you'd think she wasn't the wife of a ("mere") multi-millionaire. As if she were hustling off to a closing shift at Publix after filming this spot.
More to the point, you'd have figured this for a GOLDEN opportunity to cast her and her constituency's lot in with campaign finance reform on the Fair Elections Now model.
But she didn't take that opportunity, did she? Which makes it all seem a whole lot more like sour grapes.
Sorry to hear this, but I'm enough of a realist to understand. Yours is the only political campaign I have ever contributed to in all my voting years. At least I can say we tried, and I am somewhat relieved that I no longer need to change my voter registration to support you in the primary.
You would have made an outstanding governor and I hope that you still may in the future. The Florida Senate and the people of FL are still lucky to have you though! I still believe that the future has great things in store for you.
