Every single fucking time I hear this song I wish I could play bass. I got a electric guitar but I want to drum. This song makes me consider to start drumming and playing bass.. Love it :)
@dnIpru no I prefer Endgame Appeal to Reason was an amazing album but Endgame was more true to the Rise Against sound and appealed to me more than appeal to reason lol
The bass in the beginning is a IMO is probably an insparation for Blood to Bleed, Long Forgotten sons, and maybe Like the Angle. I dont know, it just seems similar. 5 / 5 88fl 10/5 stars for joe ftw
The guy in the way back is John Carroll. He use to hang out with us back in the day. He jammed with us a bunch back then. I was in a band called The Bruce Campbell Band. Then 88 put a shout out they they were looking for a new drummer and He got the job! The BC Band was in South Bend IN. Miss y'all!
Rise Against first couple albums were sweet. Siren Song had some moments, but by then it was obvious it wasn't the same Rise Against anymore. That and I always missed Dan the Man!
shit my favorite song of them. I only found The Dom Years in shop. My friend had CDs of them. I got the whole face to face, good riddance and bigwig disco but I never found another albums of them.
well my favourite band is rise against and i wanted to learn some history about them
and i just wanted to know is Rise against like a remake of 88 fingers louie my friend in school said they were can anyone confirm that plz and thank you and sorry for trolling
@ResurrectedPain Joe the bass player and Mr precision the guitar player made Rise Against after 88 FL broke up. But Mr precision left the band cause the mood was not the same between him and the others. But the first record of Rise Against "the unraveling" (the only one with MR Precision) is the ebst of rise against cause it's fast and furious ! the second one revolutions is really great too....but after the band left Fat Wreck Chords and became less punk rock, and more mainstream!
glen porter was on alkaline trio's first three albums. the song weak weak was written by him, but by the time from here to infirmary rolled around he had been replaced with mike felumlee of the smoking popes
dude is really some of the first shit that got me into punk we wouuld blare this while we jumped our bikes and shit...well it was was hoplesley devoted to you 2. which is a badd ass cd for like 5 bucks still
Really? Last I heard he was in a band called "Expode and Make up." I thought they were close to putting something out, like a EP. I don't know if they did. But I love this band.
dude if u love the bass in this song u would probably like suicidal tendencies bassist listen to scream out by suicidal tendencies deffinitly worth a listen
@TehGodOdeath yeah, right, really gr8 bass indeed. But they're not the only band which uses the bass this way... Check out the intro bass of "blood to bleed" by rise against ;)
@TehGodOdeath I agree with you, if you wanna know great others band leading with the bass go tcheck this out: Satanic Surfers (especially 666 motor inn) and Cigar - (the speed is relative)
88FL is 100 times better than rise against. Rise against is alright but these guys dont have a song that I dislike. One of my favorite bands of all time
Dan is the man, I used to shit in his toilet back when he was in rise against.
