  • is it pain ???

  • Hi, I had my first session of IPL hair removal on my armpits and was really shocked to realize it only took about two minutes (three tops). Is this time normal? I'm worried they ripped me off!

  • That was lady gaga n da chair haha

  • @Rihannababy90 Lady Gaga is not that good looking, she just has her fancy stuff on.

  • would it leave discoloration on darker skin tones? i read some information on that but im not sure if i was reading an old article or if there is a different solution to that.

  • Hey mate, would removing tattoos via this IPL machine be recommended ?

  • for how long its take time to remove hair spacaily for men i mean face and body hair

  • I had my underarm done 6 years ago with Palomar. I had 6 sessions and non of the hair is coming back since then. I had bad skin with dark sopts and bumps from shaving and plucking but my skin is perfectly smooth now. I am very very happy with the result.

  • @rosebaybay was it expensive?

  • @beckyxbreakdownn I paid 19,000 yen ($200) for 6 sessions. I had them in Japan. It is much cheaper now in Japan though.

  • the womans glasses look like lady gaga glasses

  • this treatment removes here permanently ???

  • @yashmeetk yes, takes 5-6 tx though typically

  • @elementsforwellness

WHAT ABOUT DARK SKIN PPL ?

  • is it useful for pussy hair ???????????

  • @mohsin9232 well, bikini lines if that's what you are referring too!

  • I', having this done currently. It works best on dark hair. Bot as effective on blond, but blond is finer and easier work with.

  • does tht hurt?

  • doesnt cause cancer u have a bigger chance of drinking a coke getting cancer off that than this dude lol

  • @edokid lol then japanese chinese koreans vietnamese are qualified?they have light skin and dark hair

wtf light skin and dark hair? what does that have to do with anything

    explain please

wait... why am i on a hair removal video?

  • @RepublicOfResurrect Um actually it has EVERYTHING to do with it. Research how laser works, it targets the contrast of the DARK hair on light skin. It can only see dark hair which is why it only works on dark hair and can't see the light hair. The reason you have to have light skin is because if your skin is too dark the laser can't differentiate between hair and skin and would burn you. Do some research it's THE requirement for laser hair removal.

  • Is it possible to buy a machine like this? I know they are probably extremely expensive but I'm just wondering.

  • sexyfemale111 IPL is only long term waxing, the hair will be back on you trust me. And you're not even understanding the technology. The laser BEAM targets 1 spectrum where IPL is more. It doesn't matter what angle the laser is at! It's 1 concentrated beam 1 colour of light designed to kill hair, where IPL is EVERY colour of light, meaning only 1 of them kills hair the rest is just burning and doing nothing.

  • does it hurt??

  • @deadgirl2010 feels like a rubber band snap typically, but can use numbing med in some cases, small areas.

  • You also need to do research, the fact you say IPL will "laser" the hair means you know nothing. Laser stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. IPL is INTENSE PULSE LIGHT, it's a Xenon flash bulb and isn't the same technology at all. Do some research before posting stupid comments and misleading consumers.

  • OMG its robing williams in disguise!!!

  • ipl isn't permanent. it only damages the hair follicles. an actual laser, like Candela, will kill the follicles and they don't grow back. you'll still get some growth, but that's because you will have entered a different growth cycle. if you're going to spend the cash and time, do it right from beginning to end. I did it and love it. arms, torso, back, neck, legs, you name it. running never felt so good.

  • I did before and it hurt a lot. how about this one? also how much money I will though it?

  • she's hot. you should give me her number

  • fantastic and cute armpits!

  • In one decade technology will allow consumers to purchase units to use at home with the same power as units used by dermatologists.

  • Why are you not listed on the site you provided?-?

What makes it different from Veet or Nair?-?

Why is it listed as Lazar treatment on other sites?-?

Is it true only a dr. can apply the treatment?-?

  • does it hurt?

  • how much does this cost?

  • It depends on area you are treating.

anywhere from 100-500 per treatment, usually 5 treatments needed.

  • im very conservative about the duration between treatments. 3weeks is not too late, they tell you to wait because they are allowing the skin to heal , but it depends on where your treating esp. the face which is very sensitive &should only be treated every 4-6 weeks. too much stimulation to the skin can damage your cell turnover &cause your skin to be damaged.

  • honestly, electrology is very old hat. its a needle going in and out if every follicle and it is painful . home kits i would NOT reccomend because you dont know what your doing &those lasers would not be on the market if they were strong enough for anyone to use. theres a reason why people have to go through laser training . you dont exactly need gel for an ipl cuz your not gliding your pulsing and lifting.

  • They will work permanently if you teat once a week before the cells in the shaft have a chance to regenerate. if u wait 3 weeks its too late. i treated one area for 6 months every week and the hair never grew back. that was 4 years ago. i tried all the lasers and ipls and they all do the same thing. its time duration that is key. but who can afford to go every week? no one unless you own ur own. i might try the the new tria or silkyn home units at once a week to see if they will work.

  • laser shpould be done with that gel thing on the skin, how come he hasnt used any here? lol.

  • I use either lux lotion or humatrix prior to treatments. this was applied, but not shown in video. helps with light transmission and comfort.

  • Honestly which is better light sheer Gold or starlux 500? How can we get info about the brands? And r u a real doctor?

  • Yes, I'm a board certified family physician, and certified in using IPL's, lasers, botox, fillers etc...

  • I use the lux gel. I did not record this in an effort to keep the video short. If it was for training purposes I would have. thanks, Dr. Grover.

  • there is no such thing as "permanent" hair removal as of today. The best thing u can experience is a long-term hair removal and permanent hair REDUCTION which is fine and way better than waxing and shaving ...

  • is anyone really THIS ignorant ever heard of electrolysis? uhm, yeah permanent hair removal (not reduction) since the 1800's or is anyone really this ignorant or intentionally passed over this method, because the host of this video even mentions it in THIS very video so I guess deaf is an option, so which one is it?

  • Honestly, thk u for posting. I just looked up nd yag 1064 or alexandrite, and they all have positive reviews. Do u know if there are any home kits?

  • like i said if your goal is to reduce hair growth, ipl's are not going to work for you. i am a laser tech &ive worked with ipl's &there not what you think. i have had laser treatments not ipl. laser (nd yag 1064 or alexandrite) is the only thing thats going to work for you.

  • i also dont recommend anything to numb the area because if your being burned you cant feel it. plus its not painful its more annoying. it feels like your being hit with a rubber band lightly. instead of lmx take some tylenol an hour before your treatment.

  • but then again its not guaranteed to be permanently gone. its guaranteed to reduce &the hairs will purge but, on the more hormonal areas like the face, it will be very stubborn to treat. darker skins CAN be treated. just not with an IPL. IPL's cant tell the difference between melanin in the skin &melanin in the hair. if you are black you need to be treated with an alex or an nd yag &on low settings. an ipl on a darker skin will cause serious burns.

  • ipl's are horrible for laser hair reduction. for hair you want to get it done by either an alexandrite or an nd yag 1064. ipl's are way better for veins. palomar is a good manufacturer, i met with one of their reps, ipl's as a whole are not good for hair reduction. palomar does make an nd yag 1064 though. i use a cutera altus coolglide nd yag 1064 &it works great.

  • stop deleting my videos youtube!

  • My question is... does this hurt? I don't like the feeling of electricution..lol

  • it feels like a rubber band lightly being snapped on skin. can use a topical numbing cream to make more comfortable.

  • the wave lenght of the laser beam is fairly large compared to the size of a gene. The chances of damage to dna is very small although elevated compared to normal exposure of course. In other words you are MANY more times likely to get cancer from say a dental x-ray than laser hair removal treatment.

  • I bet this causes cancer.

  • @r3vmixman it kills a hair-creating cell, who could become skin cancer. it prevents it.

  • @r3vmixman

    someone is scientifically ignorant

  • @scqueen considering I wrote this comment over two years ago, I can only recall that I was trying to be comical. Don't take things you read on the internet too seriously.

  • for one it dose not work on black people the skin is to dark and when they say 8 treatments all the hear will be gone what they realy mean is it take 25 treatments and then it works but you still have to go back every 3 months

  • really how do you know?? are you black?...Im mulata (half white half black) will it work on me?

  • it will be very dangerous for your skin and it is more painfull for you since the laser hit the dark area so take care be carefull

  • you are wrong, the particular hand piece being used DOES treat dark, black or even tanned skinned. Palomar makes the lux r and luxrs, for this skin colour, it filters out the melanin in skin and goes striaght to the hair shaft, literally

  • how much will it cost to get your upper lip done ? How much will it hurt ? What is this thing called ? Where can you find it ? How young can you start treatments ?

  • im 19 and i had my first treatment a month ago on my face. it definitely hurts since its a sensitive area, but it's tolerable. but i haven't had the hair grow back significantly. what happens is when it grows back, i just use a blackhead scrub and a wash my face, focusing on the areas with hair, and then the hair falls off again.

  • creepy

  • and cant you get it done so that the hairs wont EVER grow back?

  • it's not guarunteed. it depends on how thick your hair is and (this is my theory) how many times you have used products like nair and epil-stop. i used both on my upper lip every once in a while and it always grows back the fastest there. but on my chin, cheek nd sidebrn area, not a hint of hair and it's been a month since my 2nd session.

  • hi , i just had my ipl treatment but i can't see any defference :( .. Have u had an ipl treatment or it was a laser ? .. and can u tell the setting i mean was it ( 9 or much)

    thnx

  • Is there anyway I can get my insuarance company to pay for it? Can you tell me a code or something so they will pay for it. thanks

  • i had a some questions about this...can i message you somewhere to get the details i need?

also just one quick question...if i want to get a PART of my facial hair removed...is it possible? if so how much would it cost? and how long?

    Thank You

  • Thanks for the help. Also what is the going rate for laser hair removal on the chest. In the area I'm going to the rate average is anywhere from $350 to $425 for just the chest. Does that sound right? Is that an ok price? That price is at a doctors office not a spa.

  • I have been getting laser hair removal on my chest now for about 8 treatments and it is looking ok but it is real patchy. How many more treatments do you think it will take? Also it you dont want the laser hair removal to hurt tell the doctor to put ice on the area that you are getting treated and it numbs it were it will not hurt.

  • Hopefully 3-4 more will do it. Remember to shave it day of treatment so that the light can treat the underlying follicle effectively.

Have them go across chest in a different pattern each time.

  • What is you expreince in treating a man's beard with IPL? Is it effective or do most come away dissapointed ?

I am getting beard treatments done and the lady doing it was speaking to another IPL operator and he suggested that I get 2 treatments per week for 2 weeks (4 treatments in all) and then monthly treatments after that. He said that this seems to kickstart the process along. I also expect to face up to 20 treatments..

  • Sounds reasonable, although I can usually get it done with 5-10 treatments total using the ipl. Remember it won't be 100%, but hopefully you can get at least 90% reduction.

  • WHAT!!! that stuff hurts if they don't put enough gel under your arms. I'm getting my under arms done. I'm on my 4th treatment right now. It feels like someone snapping your pit with a rubber band.

  • yeah no kidding i got it on my bikini line and i jumped like 5 feet off the table. that lady hardly put any gel on me at first

  • is it a neddle????????

  • No, it is simply a broad band light that is high intensity. By sending the energy thru light handpiece multiple times to the hair follicle, you prevent it from generating new hair.

  • That's amazing!

  • Even after 3 years there will not be any hair growth forever? and what about side effects??????

I have thin hair in my cheeks and upper lips and i am planning for this kind of treatment how much it will charge in NY.....appr

  • Should be permanent as long as the hair follicle is taken out effectively with IPL or laser. 5 treatments are typical. You should have slight raised red ring around each follicle after treatment which indicates it has been treated well enough. Sometimes more than one pass with IPL is needed in one sitting. Cost varies, but probably about 150 a treatment for area you are planning to treat. Hair must be darker color, and not blonde or white.

  • I had over ayear of electrolysis to clear a tiny area. It costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars, hurt like heck and didn't get rid of all the hair. Unless you're into pain skip electrolysis and get laser removal.

  • I tried the Palomar estulx and it was the most effective. But if u have think dark skin hair like me it will require 15-30 treatment 3 weeks apart. Dont believe the hype that 3-6 treatments 6 weeks aparts will do the trick. Its BS. Its too expensive to go every 3 weeks tho so am buying my own.

  • we supply portable IPL hair removal machine for 3,500 USD/pc.give me an email if you are interested.

  • Hi all, yes the treatment if it is done right with IPL the hair will not grow back at least for 3 years but then there is a chance it will.

if you get the hair treted with laser example of a good one would be 755nm (Alexandrite) this will most likely kill the hair folicle and the hair wont grow back.. let me knwo if you have question i am a distributor for IPL and Laser in Australia.

  • I haven't heard of any problems with regrowth at 3+ years with the palomar starlux IPL I use. Using a powerful IPL should be as effective as laser. I'll try to research it and will be attending another user group meeting soon and will ask this question. Thanks for your comments.

Fred Grover Jr. M.D. Denver, Co.

  • Hair does not grow back after three years. It does not work that way. You either kill the hair follicle or you don't. Hair grows in cycles and after a reasonable number of treatments follicles are dead or your system is not working. If you sell the equipment you should know something about hair growth.

  • yeah and how old do u have to be to have it? =)

  • I get it done and I'm 15. started getting it done when i was 14. To make the pain nothing, I get conductive gel put on the treating area and ice to numb it a lot and then I get zapped. Can't really feel the pain. It kind of hurts in sensitive ares.

  • hey is it really PERMANENT? or will it grow back in like 6 months?

  • is it permenent

  • Yes, it is permanent, and not temporary like waxing.

    Thanks,

    Fred Grover Jr. M.D.

  • what is the best laser for removing hair? is it IPL? I have had 8 treatments on my butt for with a yag laser and its still as hairy as ever, I have south asian skin..Just wana get rid of it.

  • Sorry to hear the yag hasn't done the trick. IPL is pretty equal to laser, but not all IPL's or laser's are created equal. The Palomar Starlux has more power than most IPL's and thus has been more effective than other machines on the market. The physician must select the appropriate settings to be effective, and typically 5 treatments are required. I'd give IPL a try to see if it might be more effective. Dr. Grover

  • shit! that's sure handy. can we apply this to our groin region?

  • yes, you just have to be careful around the more sensitive areas!

    FG

  • elementsforwellness, you mentioned the "sensitive areas". An ex-bf wanted it done between his lower cheeks (smiles, you know where...), is that possible? what about a woman doing it near the C***? Thanks for your response

  • As long as you avoid the mucosal areas and the thinner skin area of the labia minora it can be done, but it definitely a more challenging and sensitive procedure.

  • carefully!

  • kool!thanx!
