  • Does anybody know the name of the long anchored type weight he uses on the marker rod setup to find gravel spots and then plumb its depth?

  • Love Tench, Great species :)

  • Nice fish catched in the end of the video-littlebit fat for the Tench would say:)

  • i think matt should pop in the fishing tackle cabin and get some new gear

  • I love these series.. but what about the catfish challenge?

  • Matt hayes is indeed a fine angler but with all the money he's made cant he go to the dentist to fix that english mouth of his?

  • some people prefer to fish on bite alarms but others prefer floats , it doesnt matter wich method you prefer and no need to argue about it

  • ma dad caught a 28lbs mirror on a float ...

  • @humperdink96

    What just a float..no rod..line...hook..bait...?

    Clever man your dad.

  • An hour of non stop spodding!!!!

Sod fishing next to you Matty boy lol....

  • u are all stupied and dont have a clue

  • Matt Hayes would've had 4 out. Standard!

  • isit not hayes lol

  • i think the combo of bite alarm and float is good but i still preffer just the bite alarm and hair rig

  • depends on how many rods ur allowed to use!!!!

  • is this lake in teh north east?

  • ur polish/latvian/ eastern european yes?

  • Canadian, actually. I'm surprised that people on here find the notion of eating fish somehow undesirable.

  • it's not the notion of eating fish, it's the idea of eating tench. it would be kind of like someone asking you if fathead chub where good to eat. p.s. i'm from Minnesota so i know how you feel. all these fish people are catching that have no eating value what so ever.

  • brilliant video well done lads.

  • Its a great video?/

  • yh true ive only caught crap roach and and skimmers on the float ive bben carp fishing with BOILIES! and BITE ALARMS for two years now and my record is 24lb 6oz .

  • matt hayes is good but nothing beats the waggler. proper fishing. carp fishings shit too. bite alarms should be banned plus boilies

  • wtf ?

  • Comment removed

  • i would just float fish its more simple and easy

  • well said. whats the difference between this one and the carp one? just shit fishing carp rigs for tench. bullying the fish in

  • yea ill tell you why we have hair rigs and bite alarms,

1 .have you ever tried night fishig with a float

    2. i will give you all my money if you catch over a 25lbs fish on a float

  • @OzoneLaiyarr

Haven't you heard that the British Record Carp was 51lb and caught on a cane rod using float tactics ?

  • @theyorkshirewhites Actually the record is 94lbs, and it wasnt with float tactics, unless the man can cast a float 200 yards out. plus i think your story about the cane rod and float tactics is abit of bs my friend, banking a 51lbs carp with a cane rod ? i dont quite think so.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr

Why don't you try reading the fucking comments properly?

Then you wouldn't look like the ignorant moron that you are !

I said the record " WAS " 51LB...and if you care to google Chris Yates, you'll find that what I stated was completely true...and the cane rod he used was previously owned and indeed made..by Richard Walker..who caught a then record 44lb Carp with it.

Your comment just shows how much you bite alarm idiots actually know about fishing...ZERO !!

  • @OzoneLaiyarr

Try doing a bit of research while you're sitting waiting for your bite alarm to go off...

    you wanker !!

  • @theyorkshirewhites Your catagorizing the majority of fishermen by saying that the people who use bite alarms dont know anything about fishing, the biggest fish are caught using modern tactics and bite alarms. I dont have time for arguments with pathetic assholes like you who get angry if someone goes angaist what they believe, fine, YOU prefer using old tactics that are fun but dont produce as bigger fish, dont try and force your opinions on people. grow the fuck up dipshit.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr

You're still not reading properly...where did I say I prefer using older tactics?

    Using a float isn't an old tactic...and I don't use a cane rod.

I didn't get angry because you went against what I believe, you have your opinion...my anger was against you for blatantly contradicting my statement about the carp record and the cane rod...without bothering to check if it was true.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr

Maybe you should learn how to use Google...I found that info and yorkshirewhites is completely correct..the record was...notice I said...WAS....51lb..ok it was beaten...all records are, but I reckon if it was beaten by a dickhead with a bite alarm, then it doesn't stand !

  • @seventiesclassic Maybe i have better things to do than to look up your what you tell me to so you can try and prove some kind of "point", i use every type of fresh water fishing tactic, and am not biased in any way an i dont need you telling me that when me or any other fisherman uses a bitealarm we automatically become "dickheads" grow up please, thanks. im pretty sure every evolved fisherman worth his salt will agree with me on this.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr hi ozone ooo look another argument you started and failed....

  • @bobcheese427 what ? sorry i dont have time for you right no.. lemme start again. i dont have time for you bobcheese427

  • @ColtClockwork that made no sense whatsoever i wasn't even talking to you

  • @bobcheese427 it did, and ozone was my other account. stop pointlessly aguing with people and do somthing useful. hell go fishing, i dont care.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr both of them ive done :P i bought a float with a light as a tip

  • @OzoneLaiyarr Heehee 'all my money'. That's hilarious.

  • @OzoneLaiyarr give me all your money now. 32 pounder BIATCH! and on a FLOAT in the margins, screw catching one fish over a weekend using bite alarms and bivies, takes the skill out of fishing!

  • @bobcheese427 So what if the big fish aren't in the margins? You just cast your float out 150 yards to the fish? Dumb shit.

So if you go on a 3 day session you stay awake 24 hours a day watching your float? I think not...

  • @1234goodwin1234 nope, just go to sleep :)

  • @bobcheese427 I'm assuming you mean you'd take your rods out of the water to go to sleep, otherwise that would be just plain irresponsible. If that's the case you might aswell go home....

  • @OzoneLaiyarr will you!!! ive had a 28lb pike on a float =}

  • @OzoneLaiyarr Lol there's a video on youtube of someone holding a 33lb pike, caught on a float!

  • @OzoneLaiyarr i have

  • cool 1000/10

  • great programs

  • Can someone please tell me how you set-up spods?

  • tie the string to the spods

  • FANTASTIC COMMENT

  • good vid 10/10
