(Cataclysm will end in Patch 4.3, "Death to Deathwing") Though, those people seem to overlook the total change of Azeroth. I think Blizzard tried to go for content that would appeal to everyone, rather than those who were 80-85, and it didn't really work out. Now they know that.

Also, he hints (in the first hallway of ICC) that he has a new champion, a new vessel, Bolvar. In my opinion, he knew Arthas was weakening and wanted to replace him. This is also evident when Frostmourne stops obeying him 1:53 for ex. I DK i may be reading into this too much :D

When you kill the LK in this circumstance, a chest will appear with spoils that he took from various people. There's a vial of Sylvanas' blood, a locket from Jaina, etc. Each of the items gives you a quest to return it to the original owner, and that's when you get these scenes (you also get really cool flavor items, like a glowing Silver Hand tabard from Uther, etc).
