wow it turns off and on, how? ..its black, really ? mmm and the velcro sheath ..um well velcros? why buy one? like WTF ...did someone have a gun to your head ? telling you to review it ? come on ! i cant tell if u like it or not . hey thx for the time ...i guess it the best !
not always. I bought a led lenser david 19 for 62$ 3 years ago in norway.. 7days ago I bought 6 fenix L2T 3w (old mod) for 6$ pr light=36$. also bought a tk20 hours ago.. 62$..
If you are referring to a "momentary on" by not having to click the light on but instead holding the activation switch down to have light for a second and then let go and it turns off.... It does not do that unfortunately. Hope this helps.
Little light kicks butt! I have the older brother, the P2D, not nearly as bright as this upgraded model. It looks like you have it set to 180 lumens when you turn it on. If you loosen the head about a quarter turn, you can access the 9, 47, and 94 lumen settings, as well as SOS. With the head tightened down, you're accessing Turbo mode and strobe.
nice quick review. i have been following the pd line for the past couple of weeks. i have settled on the pd30 mostly for the power and size. price is not much more than the pd20. batteries can be had for 1.50 each which is not bad at all. i chose the pd30 over the ld20 after much research, i passed on the ld20 mostly for size reasons, then because of the lumen difference.
yea im looking at the PD30 just to keep around the house or use when I need a slightly bigger flashlight. The PD20 is great as an EDC flashlight but can be too small for some chores. Thanks for the kind comment.
I'm getting a Fenix TK11 at the end of next week. I'm pretty excited to see how bright and far that thing will throw. I'll put a review up of it soon.
I tried carrying it in my pocket but with all the other stuff i carry it was just easier to carry it in its sheath. I carry my Benchmade pen, Kershaw blur, cell phone so it adds up. If i didn't carry all of that it wouldn't be too bad.

How does this compare to the E1B Backup from surefire. I notice it has more lumens but does it outperform it?

This is the older version and no it doesn't. The newer version of the PD20 now comes with a pocket clip.
edgedweapon88 2 years ago
why doesnt this look like the one on the fenix webpage?
sk88rdude999 2 years ago
Fenix just came out with a new version of the PD20. The newer one is all round and does not have an octagon shape.

fenix expensive? ha! check out how much surefires cost... then you'll see expensive...
metaZen 2 years ago
the two cheapest surefires you can get is either a 6P or the G2 otherwise all their other flashlights cost atleast $110 and up.

A most excelant flashlight... Good throw, good illumination. Good on battery life. Also its big brother PD30 is another great hit.

I agree!!
edgedweapon88 3 years ago
Fenix lights sure are awesome and they have several models, something for everyone.
Personally I'm thiking of getting the PD30 for the longer run time and the sick 220 lumenes just for the heck of it. :P
Krepo11 3 years ago
I was looking at the PD30 also but decided that the smaller size was what i needed. Although 220 lumens is pretty sick!
edgedweapon88 3 years ago
Yea it's all about compactness vs power.
But even on the PD20 has an amasing ration in size/power.
Krepo11 3 years ago
Agreed!
