  • i've been a construction worker since i was 16,framer,roofer,drywall man mainly

amd women have come on eand tried these jobs

now a woman can do drywall finishing, and texture and sanding

but the females that have tried roofing or framing or trying to hang some 5/8 sheet drywall, cant do it,they give up

  • I'd love to debate this Broad Ana on this subject, I would destroy this fucking stupid Bitch! You suck BALLS Ana, hows about you provide a little EVIDENCE of your own to refute what the Rep is saying!? Don't just pull shit out of your ass you MORONIC Bimbo! Now go make a sandwich, its the only thing you are probably good at...!

  • This has got to be one of the stupidest TYT videos out there! How in the hell did Cenk let this retard Ana do this segment? CENK, Buddy, school your illogical co host will ya?

  • You are a fucking Imbecile Ana, here's why, "watch?v=aHeLOdFC0w0", Try not to cry too hard you stupid fucking Liberal Broad.!

  • I think you better read that book sweetheart, ana, before you jump into conclusions with NO Evidence of your own at all!

  • @deeppurple28 She's also saying that women don't work as hard as men, which is not true. Like I said, most women I know have to work their butts off because they're usually the ones who are taking care of the kids by themselves. That fact doesn't change.

  • Wait a minute, taking care of a bunch of crumb crunchers is hardly comparable to a Crab fisherman, Not by a long shot sweetheart! But the fact still stands, Men make more because MEN are willing to take Risks that women simply never even Consider in their lives! That's the fact, and Ana sounds like a fucking idiot on this video. Kern may be a moron too, however, she did at least provide SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH! Something this retard Ana should have considered before opening her hole!

  • @tigerslilly29 Dear I know you are in denial but why do you think that Virtually ZERO Women work in the rigorous fields that men do? Why don't we see women in the heavy labor Jobs that we see men in? Simple, Women work, some work Hard, But they just DON'T Work as hard as MEN!

  • @deeppurple28 I'm not in denial, dear. I'm not saying that women can do that work. Some can, but most can't. Is it hard work? Yes. But to say that women in the work field don't work hard is ignorant. I work just as hard as my male coworkers in the jobs that I've done. Am I working as hard as a crab fisherman? No. But is the guy that works at McD's working as hard as a crab fisherman because he's a man? No. I'm talking about the women who are working alongside men at the same job.

  • @tigerslilly29 Uh Dear, you are completely ignoring a Scientific Research conducted by a PHD simply because you believe that you are The exception to the rule? I mean the facts are clear, sure there are some women who take up Male oriented jobs, but those women are very few! And the fact is that GENERALLY Speaking, Women do NOT work as hard as men!

  • @deeppurple28 And you obviously don't know how to read what I'm saying. I am speaking about women who work right next to the men. Like I said, the guy who works fast food isn't working as hard as a man in construction, but it doesn't mean he's working harder than his female coworkers. If women in these jobs where they work along side men don't do the work, they will not have a job. My former boss preferred to hire women because women do the work.

  • I hate to admit it but Kern is citing a very important study which is in a book written by a PHD! And listen sweetheart, Ana, There might be more women going to college than men however, Most of the women are majoring in useless crap like French Literature and Psychology!

  • i have never seen a female garbage truck driver and i think i never will

  • This made my blood boil, how fucking dare she....women like her slow down the process of gender equality.

  • women work very hard at home and work .

  • has this woman took into consideration single mothers the number which is growing every single day while dead beat dads get away without paying child support, she is crazy, and even married women--work 50-60 hours a week and come home and take care of the entire house while the husband sits on his butt drinking a beer watching football, geez,,,

  • ... then why hire a woman ? This is all BS ! Connections determine pay NOT merit.

  • in Oklahoma, the politician choices are between the sally kerns or moneys. Im so glad I live in Cali

  • lol this fool.....

  • Aha TYT fired these idiots by popular demand.

  • what the lady is saying is that the study simply added up the hours worked. duh.

so they don't work as "hard"

i suggest you review the study she sites. its just math.

  • dislike this cuz i know way more women with jobs than men, n way more women who have kept jobs longer and work harder eff that women!!!!!!!!!!!!! all these men want to just sit around and play video games while women olay both roles! this woman is pissing me off!

  • Comment removed

  • Bitch, back off! I'm from Oklahoma. We're not all right-wing nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Kooshkoff oh ok, i see what you mean. i learned it from another source but i understand now thanx.

  • I love how people like Sally Kern who I would consider is white trash really believes what she is saying is 100% truth even though they have a sub par education, and they make these dumb dumb comparisons that make zero sense.

  • HOW DARE SHE SPEAK THE TRUTH!That women value personal relationships and social lives more than men do is something WOMEN have often used when they want to criticise men for being "workaholics",for when they want to argue why they think they're more emotionally balanced and developed than men,and for when they want sole custody in a divorce(he's always at work,I've been raising our children alone). But it pisses them off if you turn it around and criticise THEM for it.And the hosts are A-HOLES.

  • Who else is a TYT fan but is sick and tired of how they always unquestionably side with feminists. I have many disagreements with the woman from Oklahoma but the Farrell staistic she mentioned were totaly correct. Ana know that the study proves that feminist organizations have been lying about the wage gap ( or is ignorant of it) but doesn't even mention it. Theres a reason for all the thumbs down on the video.

  • all these comments here just proves ANA'S point ... we indeed live in a nation that do not give equal opportunities.. n where DOUBLE STANDARD N MALE HYPOCRISY PREVAILS !!

I will be waiting for ur racist n sexist cmts !! u all r so SMART !!!!!! NOTTTTT

  • I like how the stupid woman host criticizes the stupid woman politician's stupid generalizations of all women by making a stupid generalization of the entire of Oklahoma. "It's Oklahoma." ???? Really?

She even sounds like the other lady trying to justify her stupid comment "no... I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But everytime some (blah blah blah) it's always Oklahoma".

Stupid cunt. Take a look in the mirror before you decide to criticize some other stupid moron.

  • I bet I come off as sexist, but I can't help but feel this is somewhat true, at least at my fast food job personally. The female that are employed are more often the ones that talk back when asked to perform simple tasks, such as making a food order, even though they're already at the station at which need be to make the food. While males on the other hand, don't come off as they don't want to work, but they tend to stand around and need more direction. Just what I've noticed personally.

  • Where I am employed women ARE paid as much or more as men and do SUBSTANTIALLY less work. (if anyone were to say anything you get a nice harassment lawsuit or, naturally, the ever popular RACE thing thrown in, where applicable, for good measure)

  • Ordinarily, I'd be the last to agree with this fool but she's correct on this point. The study by Dr. Farrell did find that once all factors were accounted for, women earned (slightly) more than men.

One of those factors is that women are more likely to trade monetary compensation for non-monetary lifestyle related compensation such as fewer or more flexible work hours than men are.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for pointing this out but I'd invite people to check out the facts before they do so.

  • Women keep getting pregnant and flirting with manamgment they also use kids as an excuse to avoid over time

  • This why i'm a socialist/communist supporter. PERIOD!!!

  • Women don't make as much as men because there are social forces that force many women to not be able to work 12 hour shifts and lots of overtime...which a lot of the really good paying positions require.

And women go to college more because there are a lot more decent paying jobs that are traditionally masculine that don't require a college degree.

  • Women do earn more in some of the major cities of US in the age group of up to 34.

Also, lot of times women do get promoted faster, don't get laid off as much as men do(in the same line of work) during major recessions and have easier time of getting hired. And I don't think it's necessarily because women are better workers most of the time.

There r also other differences between a man and a woman that comes naturally and could be related to this topic.

    So, please quit whining!

  • 468 lazy ass women watched this result when they should've been working

  • Ana please. Women not working as hard as men is a historical constant. And no, a comfortable 9-5 office job with 5 coffee breaks is not hard work, let's get some equality in construction and other low class jobs with long working hours and high risk, then we talk again about women working hard. I worked in agriculture in romania; it was a ticket back to the 19th century and i give you one guess as to who worked the hardest in an environment where little technology is available to help people.

  • @ComeLeVent How stupid is that argument? The problem here is not that office working women get paid less than construction working men. Its that in for example an office, or any job that requires more intellectual work than simple heavy lifting, women get paid less for doing the exact same job. Your reactionary whining is just pathetic. You seem to fail to grasp the context of the presented argument, its pretty sad.

  • 'women get paid less for doing the exact same job'

    that's a lie.

'Your reactionary whining is just pathetic'

the only whiners out there are overprivileged princesses and women who are full of themselves. The whining is indeed pathetic, i agree.

  • Firstly, that guy needs to grow some b@lls!!

Secondly, there've been lot of studies done regarding this topic and it's been proven that men get paid more bc of other variables and not bc of $exism. Anna, I suggest you look into them!!

Men work harder bc their status and how much they earn are a LOT more important factors to women than other way around.

Thirdly, Anna sometimes gets on my nerves when she tries to take some of the feminist bs too far.

  • Yup, Palin doesn't work as hard as Obama. But that's because Republicans don't have to work as hard.

  • This is one of those videos where the CC either makes no sense or is saying the exact opposite of what the people are saying in the audio. Is the CC done by a computer program? Because it seems to fail any time you have someone with a "wide" accent with lots of open vowels and soft consonants and poor diction. The CC looks like it was written by someone translating english into another language and then having someone else translate it back into english.

  • I live in Oklahoma, and yes, most of us are retarded. It's ridiculous how backwards this state is.

  • there are more jobs that are made for or ment for women now a days than there are men from walmart to the doctors office you will see a lot more women then men with the MFG jobs sent over seas or just closed down there just isn't alot of man work available as it use to be

  • *earn

  • that lady is real. its true, women dont work as hard which is why they work less. they get more time off.

  • All the women I know that work outside of the home work their butts off because of their family. Especially since it's mostly women that are single parents. Sally's a fucking idiot.

  • @tigerslilly29

i know men who work harder but i guess no one really care as long as their is food on the table

  • @tigerslilly29 Sorry sweetheart but Kern is right, there are various reasons why women earn less. Women are less likely to take the same risks as men! How many women out there work as crab fishermen? How many women you see in the construction field? By the way Warren Farrell is a Phd you tard! I think I rather go with a book written by a Phd than some Liberal Tards on the internet!

  • @deeppurple28 The average woman can't work in that field. I'm specifically talking about women who do the same job as men and earn less money. I can't do crab fishing or construction--it's just a fact. But if I'm doing the same job as a guy, I shouldn't be getting paid less. And I've been paid less than men in just about every place I've worked. And calling someone a "tard" doesn't make your point anymore clear. Just to let ya know.

  • @tigerslilly29 There are other aspects of it which I didn't point out! Men are more likely to engage in rigorous work, men are more likely to take Night shifts and longer Hours! MEN Take LESS sick days than women do! Besides these, there are other reasons why Men Earn more, why don't you take a look at Warren Farrell's Book, after all, it is written by a PHD! He is not just giving simple opinionated garbage like these Young Turds!

  • @tigerslilly29 I don't think Sally's the idiot, YOU are you moron! Sally is simply quoting Warren Farrel's book , "Why men earn more". Here's a fast fact for you, you idiot, just try not to fall of the couch dear, "93 % of ALL the people who die in the workplace are MEN"! That's a STATISTIC, YOU MORON!

  • @deeppurple28 The only one here who is a moron, is you. You don't know how to comprehend what people type. Are you about sixteen, in mom's basement? Nothing to do with your time? Probably. Maybe those men died in the workplace because they were too stupid to know how to do their jobs. Maybe the women are more careful when they do their work. It seems you can't answer my questions because they're too deep for ya. Go play your video games, kid.

  • @tigerslilly29 No Bitch you are the idiot! You are assuming that because a couple of broads that you know work hard, that women do work as hard as men! You dumb Skank, Women don't work as hard as men! And just maybe, if you pulled your head out of your ass and considered the data presented, you would think otherwise before making assumptions You retard!

  • @deeppurple28 Hm, I take it you're about ten years old? Did the kids at school teach you those words? You'll probably be a virgin for the rest of your life if you do, just to let ya know. Try actually paying attention to your teacher when you're in class. Just to get some maturity and intelligence:)

  • @tigerslilly29 No the men die because they have riskier jobs. They don't sit on their asses talking on the phone and emailing while sipping their coffee. I work with women and they are more of a liability then help. They are too slow and always take a back seat when it comes to heavy lifting. They are worthless and don't deserve equal pay because they don't do equal work and they can't do it because they are small and weak.

  • @Bisquack You're working with the wrong women, then. Stop helping them. I've done warehouse work for years and all the women I've ever worked with bust their butts. If they're not doing the same job equally, then they shouldn't be paid equally. Don't generalize all women because of the few you've worked with.

  • No, Ana, it's not always Oklahoma. It's almost always crazy-ass Texas.

  • This lady is actually correct. Ana is pissed off (as she is whenever the subject of women or gays comes up), and the guy on the right has no balls and just agrees with her.

  • @Ravinian

Logic. A system was put in place to allow a group of people the same chance at prosperity as others.

Now that it has worked, we should get rid of it?

We abolished slavery. There are no longer slaves. We should get rid of the 14th Amendment as well, right? Women no longer need suffrage laws, since they can all vote, yeah?

Sally Kearn is a hypocrite, as well as ignorant. She has been conned by conservatives into attacking the very legislation that allowed her to take office.

  • @smaugfrost Yes, you chose your words well, "Same chance at prosperity", apparently in your world graduating at TWICE the rate your competition is the "same chance". Just saying "logic" a lot in your posts doesn't mean your actually being logical. Logically you should understand it is possible to help an underprivileged group so much that they end up doing better then the average citizen, at which point the help they are receiving should be examined and decreased or removed.

  • @Ravinian

No part of affirmative action accounts for collegiate success rates.

If women are outperforming men in college, that would indicate their own merits are involved.

Regardless, women having educational success, when they comprise the same percentage of the student body as men, indicates to me that a lot of women are working to better themselves, and a lot of men are in college to goof off, thus the lower academic success.

Affirmative action has nothing to do with this issue.

  • @smaugfrost More women then men apply for college in the first place, and are directly helped in doing so by affirmative action. It's true that this doesn't account for girls superior performance once in college. Clearly our educational system is not addressing the needs of young boys in such a way that they can achieve the "same chance at prosperity". I suggest we spend time and energy insuring the success of both sexes. Seems feminists want extra rights, not equal rights these days.

  • @smaugfrost Lots of assumptions and stereotypes about men have to be conjured up to even allow some of these statements into the argument.

When say 100 men apply for technical courses (of which men are PROVEN to have more interest and aptitude) such as electrical engineering. Then 60 women apply. Due to targets and goals set by affirmative action around 50% have to be women. Whether or not their marks earn them a spot. If there's only 100 slots 90% of the women who apply get in, see a problem?

  • wtf, why so many thumbs downs?

  • ...invoicing isn't that hard? Honestly, it's not. I am a freelance programmer. Making an invoice takes like...2 minutes. I mean the first time took an hour or so, but that's because I had to design the layout for the invoice. I don't really see a program making it any easier. The hardest part is keeping track of hours worked and rates. And a program isn't going to help with either of those. Invoices are easy: 1) Create form (first time only), 2) fill in numbers 3) print/deliver 4) ??? 5) profit

  • Oklahoma voters are like voters everywhere in that while we know the people running for larger offices (Congress, Governor, President), we know little or nothing at all about people running for smaller offices and thus vote by party lines. That's standard voting behavior no matter where you go. Nobody who votes for Kern knows who she is, she just has an R by her name. It just happens that the OK GOP produces a special breed of crazy and sane people don't pay attention enough to change parties.

  • This guy is just a pussy who agrees with Ana.

  • Statistically, women do take more time off, but, having said that, there is really no accurate way to quantify how hard you work. There are too many variables.

  • So its not ok to make negative generalizations about women but about oklahoma its ok

  • Ana was getting ready to cry, they edited her cry baby ass out. You can start to see her lips quiver at 2:45 Can't we just stop to consider that maybe this is true. Her point was right. I never believed the "75% pay" shit because its true that men bust their ass more on average than women.

  • @A86 'third world numberS' means stats from the third world, as in financial numbers from third world nations. Which as we all should know do still have large problems with discrimination, and social abuse of women. Not to mention generally terrible pay for any worker, especially women.

These stats are often added alongside western or first world nations stats on pay then averaged out. You can imagine what happens. There appears a huge gap in wages. Yet it doesn't apply to the first world.

  • @Christopholaes - When has this happened?

  • @A86 Constantly, from the seventies on in mass media outlets regurgitating lines from the more extreme feminist groups, and their now well funded 'research' groups. There are plenty of stats and figures that are thrown around in the mass media that are really based on no, or little research. Such as 'a women beaten by a man every four seconds', 'a rape every few minutes' to show some of the more ridiculous ones. Which actually are impossible if you work out the maths.

  • @Christopholaes - What supposed third world countries are these statistics from? In what third world countries are women making $35-40,000/year? What's your evidence they aren't well-researched or not based on reality? I'm not talking about the rape statistics, I'm talking about the economic statistics. They're confirmed by both government sources and independent sources.

  • @A86 They were just examples of the other kinds of lies that seem to be manufactured on a daily basis based on stats, surely you don't think all stats are reported accurately. What I meant is that it has been used by the media on quite a few occasions. By giving 'world wide' figures either inferring the study refers to only first world nations or that the gap represented in such figures has a direct bearing on first world women's lives as it obviously would not. (cont.)

  • @A86 Before I go trundling off to find citations of the literally hundreds of cases of the media misrepresenting statistics, studies on women's work conducted under bias, and the pay gap. Can you point me to a source that shows a clear pay gap that takes into account the proclivities of education/work choices by sex, actual tasks done(not just job titles), danger excesses, length of hours worked per day, market demand, required technical knowledge, and time off for children? I'll be waiting...

  • @Christopholaes - Okay:

    (.) gao (.) gov / products / A83444

When you take those factors into account the gap shrinks but does not disappear. It shrinks to below a 20% gap but at lowest only falls to a 5-7% gap. It also depends on the industry and the region of the US. There is less disparity in some industries than others and some regions of the US are more progressive than others.

  • @A86 i like how you found it through wikipedia says a lot dude. Plus still does have all the control factors i mentioned, neither does it have fringe benefits that women tend to prefer such as work health cover, paid holidays extra sick days they tend to negotiate for more than men. Also actual tasks done (or productivity per hour/unit), danger excesses/environment, market demand. You see even the makers of this study admit the gap at this point is still merely unexplained. (cont.)

  • @A86 An assumption has to be made to pin sexism as the culprit. And we all know where assumption gets u. The more factors controlling factors we include the more the gap shrink to almost nothing. I'm not saying there is no discrimination, that would just be naive. I just think it's being highly overstated for sociopolitical reasons. Even if true 5-7% does not justify the heavy corrective measures being suggested, such as targets. A truly misguided and discriminatory policy if there ever was one!

  • @Christopholaes - Controlled for all known factors the gap shrinks to a 5-20% wage gap (it differs depending on the region and the industry). That leaves discrimination the only other known possible factor responsible for the remaining gap.

    "heavy corrective measures"

Businesses being fined for breaking the law is heavy? Discrimination is illegal. So, businesses that do discriminate are technically breaking the law. That's light compared to what poor people get for breaking the law.

  • @A86 Actually no, as I read through the article in question i found no reference to these factors I mentioned before, as you said all known factors. Problem is we keep finding more people haven't considered before either through thoughtlessness, ineptness, laziness, or bias. Yet, they keep cropping up and every time they adjust the studies that gap just keeps on shrinking. Also I was referring to controlling measures such as targets. Yet again you seem to want to shove me in the bigot box, why?

  • @Christopholaes - Sorry, wrong article.

    ideas (.) repec (.) org/ a / ucp / jlabec / v11y1993i3p417 - 41 (.) html

I'm not sure if you can read this article though. I might have to go get another one.

The gap has not shrunken any smaller than 5-7% at maximum that is unaccounted for. Some studies put the gap unaccounted for as high as 15-20%.

  • @Christopholaes - Here's another article that cites the same studies by the GAO:

    economix (.) blogs (.) nytimes (.) com / 2009 / 04 / 28 / happy - equal - pay - day / # more - 10011

Also, where did I call you a bigot and why did you assume I got this stuff from Wikipedia? If the link is used on a Wikipedia article what about it? NASA's website is used in Wikipedia articles as well. I guess that makes them an unofficial source?

  • I can't help but lol at the "audience." They're trying so hard to listen.

  • As with other videos talking about sexism, the commenter reaction seriously disappoints me. Making sweeping assumptions about people of a certain race is bad, yet with gender it's ok? :( TYT, you guys rock for covering this.

  • @hipps1000 dumby

  • how is it ridiculous... for example mining is very dangerous job and how many women do you know that work as miners?? I think the lady has a point

  • i love the people sleeping directly in front of this woman

  • AMEN SISTAH

  • Down with affirmative action.

  • isn't affirmative action a bad thing?

idk wtf I'm talking about all I know is that its stupid to say one gender works harder than the others. Aren't we all individuals and should be judged by our work skills?

  • @Pull0utBoy Yes but generally speaking, men usually work harder.

  • Ana looked like she was about to cry. :(

  • woman only work harder in porn. Thats why they make more

  • @Shane444888

as funny as your comment sounds, it's actually true.

  • You know, you two should stop and think.

This woman is giving information that had apparently resulted from research on the subject. You two are just blurting out bad points from the top of your heads.

You stated that, by having to think about family time and raising children, the woman would evidently work harder than the man. You then came to the conclusion that that woman was careless not to consider that.

But you yourself failed to realize that she was talking about working jobs. The wo

  • She's actually making a good point. Why is TYT attacking this? Quite a reasonable explanation by the republican. She didn't even backpedal, people were interrupting her and she paused, but she looked like she was already gonna say this. I expected this to be a video where the republican actually looked stupid.

A woman deserves as much as a man for the same time and job. She's just saying often times women play it safer and are more reasonable. You take less risk you get less.

  • @ScissorHand26

    I agree.

  • A republican from the boonies made a backwards sexist remark? Color me shocked.

  • The 77 cents on the dollar is a highly misleading figure. Don't be like Republicans and ignore the details of what that comparison is actually measuring. It's a comparison of median salaries across all jobs that work more than 35 hours a week. Therefore, it's NOT comparing pay for similar jobs, it's comparing pay across all full time jobs. The gender inequality of several decades ago is the primary cause of this comparison difference.

  • It's the same rationale as with all these greedy capitalists saying poor peoplev are poor because they are lazy or they somehow want to be poor, itself a direct descendant of old-style conservative logic about the lazy nigger.

    ...

Exclude obvious cultural and socioeconomic elements andy ou can spew whatever hsit you want to enforce your capitalist agenda of justifying enforcement of redistribution through the "free market" of wealth from the poor to the wealthy.

  • this woman is an idiot. plain and simple.

  • I was reading the comments on the "what's trending" youtube page (awesome by the way) and pretty much everyone on their staff is a woman and they are kicking ass

  • The point would be settled and moot if employers just gave equal workloads to all employees in a department inspite of their race or sex. If one person lags behind the standards that all are held up to, regardless of race or sex, then fire him/her. The problem in this country is employers, infact, do not uphold all employees of the same job title to the same job performance standards.

  • It always baffles me when women are sexist against themselves.

  • @BattleProf53 meh! I m sexist against men :D Women like tht xD

  • I think it's more insulting to men. Is she saying that we want to work all the time and we don't want to spend time with our families? That we don't think of our children as much as women do?

  • @manforever15 Sounds good, pass the popcorn.

  • Do you know why Texas doesn't slide into the Gulf of Mexico? B/c Oklahoma sucks!

  • @Kooshkoff Feminists didn't burn bras. That's a myth.

  • @VocabWord Dude how old are you? Yes they burned them, a lot for several years.

  • @derberg19486 Dude, wikipedia says you are a liar. Maybe like, a few people burned some of their pantaloons but it wasn't the riotous movement people always go off about.

  • Turn the South into a giant parking structure for the rest of the country.

  • If it weren't for Oklahoma Sooner football and the Oklahoma City Thunder, I'd support giving Oklahoma away for free to Pakistan.

  • fuck Oklahoma!

  • When it comes to professional jobs such as doctors and business administration men do tend do make more than women for doing the same job.

  • Fucking Oklahoma man!!!!

  • Only two things come from Oklahoma boy. Steers and wingnuts, I don't see no horns on you boy... so you can't be either.....

  • Is anyone really surprised that men work harder?

  • So she insulted all women and blacks in America in a single speech. That is some epic trolling.

  • @mdot0785 and now you take what she said out of context as well. The rep explains what she means by "not working as hard", and explains it ad not literal work effort, but full career scope. She is not backpedaling whatsoever, but explaining that she isn't just ramble hate against women workers, Neely outlining variables.

  • To play the devil's advocate, she has a point. Women do ussually care more about their family lives but as opposed to work ethic, I would say time and sacrifices put towards the job.

Obviously there are millions of female doctors and lawyers that would disagree, but as a general rule of thumb.

There are also millions more of men who do shit work and then go get drunk every two days, so I guess that is the obvious case against.

  • First of all the pay gap exists over all occupations. When you look at the facts, men are in more high paying jobs such as CEO's, engineering, etc. More women go to college then men, but that is because more of them major in LA. Men still hold the majority of higher/harder majors.

  • hehe anna threw oklahoma under a bus

but she is right,,,they are fucking backwards

i thought the pay scale was hour for hour

if a woman and man have the same job ,work the same hours

the woman is likely to be paid less

  • I would argue women are paid less then men, not because of merit, or experience, but instead they are less likely to ask for a raise.

  • What makes this story even more sad is that it was a WOMAN saying WOMEN don't work as hard then men.

    Does that include yourself Sally?

  • @cyborgvampire Perhaps we need a name comparable to Uncle Tom for women like this. How about Aunt Sally?

  • @pandarsson They already do it's Phyllis Schlafly google it.

  • Ana completely spun the representative's words around and applied anecdotal evidence while the rep relied on serious scientific evidence. TYT I thought you were better then that...

  • @proatlife Not much spinning needed in this instance. The rep clearly stated that women don't want to work as hard as men, then she back pedals and says "don't take my words the wrong way." If you want to explain something, explain it properly and there isn't much controversy...What I think she meant was that the factors associated with women in the workforce play more of a role in the factors that impact pay than men - such as spousal duties, children, family leave for emergencies, etc...etc

  • The survey was done by an idiot male- 1st problem

    Males dont raise kids.

    Ladies r always working-homemakers;

most ladies have other jobs also.

males r naturally lazy, fat n useless

  • @LadySePe wow... and you call someone else an idiot...

  • @LadySePe I want to bitch slap you but apparently I'm too "fat and lazy" to do so.

  • @LadySePe How about you look at the study instead of showing your ingorance, stupidity and bigotry to others. Studies show time and time again the the wage gap is due factors other than discrimination. If woman were paid less per hour than all firms would only hire woman to cut costs.... but of course people like you don't want to look at facts nor do you want equality, you want to be special. Typical gender feminist BS

  • @LadySePe Meh You're probably right. Now make yourself useful and get me a sandwich!

  • There is actually some truth to what she is saying, although it is certainly an over-generalization. Men and women on average work similar hours, but women split their work more between job-work and house-work / family organization, while men work more unpaid overtime and skimp on the home stuff. Effectively, women are subsidizing their partners' careers, so employers prefer men. Unfair maybe, but why should employers pay for societal double-standards?

  • Can this still be called, The Young Turks?

Old boring boy with the bald head is just too old in addition to being creepy and ugly.....

Need a good looking boy not over 25 with low body fat.

  • GAAAAH. Frustrating!

  • lol I can just imagine some feminist somewhere is buring their bras in protest...lol

  • Problem is most Americans can't name 5 members of Congress, but they know when the next Ipod will be realeased or who is in the playoffs. We are a population of sheeple who follow the herd. Consume. Consume. Pay taxes. Work.

  • @Kooshkoff "When women have everything else, plus the same wages it will be game over for men", i dont understand what your trying to say.

  • Ana Kasparian needs too learn her place as a fragile female, shut the fuck up and get back in the kitchen an make me some pie.

  • @ANTICARBONTAX go suck an egg - raw egg

  • Amen Sally, Amen. Please befriend my wife.

  • Depends in what jobs, what Salary, you cannot just make a statement that big.

But, it has some truth behind it from what I've read.

I just see this video as, this channel is suppose to be about the truth, yet one video has upset the female involved in the show, so it instantly becomes biased (and the guy agrees).

  • @UKNMajor Yes and they laugh in the faces of the circumcised. In this channel women are more equal than men.

  • Was it me or was Ana about to cry?

  • To say he wasnt looking at her breast for a while would be a lie.

  • it's a statistical fact.

women take more days off, are less willing to travel, and are less likely to take bad hours.

thus, a woman won't get paid as much as the guy who technically has the same position, but gets shipped across the country or works the night shift.

the broad statistic, in this case, is misleading.

  • @pyr666 And just where is this statistical fact from? Sounds to me like you're trying to push an opinion in the form of a statistic, just like Rep. Kern did.

  • @jpfoland01

in my case, the GAO. but I've seen other people reference other things.

  • @pyr666 Same job vs same job. If the guy is getting shipped across the country or working the night shift, he does not have the same position.

And maybe if men would share the responsibilities of family, the women would NOT have to be the ones who took time off for children being sick, and women COULD travel. Basically, men slack at home, which cause women to have to pick up that slack.

    It's a statistical fact.

  • @catstandish

"he does not have the same position."

false. job titles have pay RANGES for this specific reason.

"And maybe if men would share the responsibilities of family, the women would NOT have to be the ones who took time off for children being sick"

how any couple divides the responsibilities is their business, neither party is a slave.

frankly, your post speaks more to your prejudice than anything else.

  • @pyr666 You have the nerve to call ME prejudice after what you said? You're the one who said women want more time off, refuse shift differentials, and refuse travel. That's stereotyping too. My post tells you WHY women would refuse those things. I think you might want to examine your own prejudices before saying someone else is. Usually, that range, btw, is known as a shift differential. And that is a valid reason for pay difference. Not gender.

  • am i the only one who sees him starring at her tits on occasion? ahahaha

  • Why doesn't she prove it and resign?

  • You know what bring Cenk back, your ruining this once awesome show....
