901puppetmaster , Yes I was already told a half of a dozen of times. I guess no one is aloud to make mistakes. When you'll become perfect then tell me about it. You should be glad I was there to film this event. instead of making a big deal over Bob's last name. I can't tell you how many times people has misspelled my First and last name.
smokine2001 , Sorry for the misspelling of the name, it must be the coal cracking accent Bob, Sr. had , That I didn't understand him when first told me his last name 15 years ago.
@dragonpullman that is a possiblity, but im just planning right know because one it may still be restored by strasburg (unlikely though) and two what is a almost 15 year old going to do with it and yes if i did restore it I would be sure to take it across the country like Flagg Coal 75 because it would the only operating camelback that i know in the US.but its just a plan, but with the right people and help it could happen.
awsome video len, i heard from a friend who loves 0-6-0 switchers that she was fired up. but at first i thought it was just general railfan rumors going around. but now that i see he was right all i can say is congrats.
rushs11 , It's going to stay in PA. I'm sure of that. Although it might go to Steamtown or Jim Thorpe, PA. You'll just have to do some traveling like we all do. :)
Thats a sweet engine! Pennsylvania has an awesome heritage steam tradition that most other states don't have as much. Thanks for posting this video. Really like the whistle on that engine. What kind of chime was it. Sounded like a 3 chime for a passenger engine.
@Conrail6370 - I "discovered" #113 on September 11, 2011 while it was being test fired. I was told that it was wearing an SP 6-chime replica at that time (and was told jokingly that no RDG 6-chimes were allowed on it, even though RDG owned a big chunk of CNJ!). The old girl sounded great. I look forward to when 113 runs again!

know all we need to do is get the 1187 up and running in Strasburg. I wonder how it would cost in its current state.

modeltrainman12345, If you have the money, I have the compleat set of blue prints for the locomotive. and yes Linn knows.
Conrail6370 1 year ago
@Conrail6370 dang how in the world did you get the plan set for it and how much?
modeltrainman12345 1 year ago
modeltrainman12345 , From Ebay about three years a go. And the price tag might be like 2 million. if done correctly.
Conrail6370 1 year ago
@Conrail6370 like i said i am almost 15 so its just a plan, but 2 million to restore it is actually no that much when you look at the whole picture
modeltrainman12345 1 year ago
@Conrail6370 but she's ebign restored to operation slowly, but she definatly is

@modeltrainman12345 If you did restore the 1187, would you have it travel across parts of the country like Flagg Coal 75?

How often do the guys at Steamtown work on B&M 3713?
dragonpullman 1 year ago
dragonpullman , The B&M is dead in the water, until the 26 is compleated. 26 will be compleated sometime next Summer.
Conrail6370 1 year ago
@Conrail6370 What will 26 be used for, it seems a little small to be pulling excursion trains.
dragonpullman 1 year ago
dragonpullman, It pulls the Yard trip.
Conrail6370 1 year ago
@Conrail6370 I see, I guess 3254 will be the only steam locomotive pulling their excursion trains for a while.
