  • @MrsTGA hes better than u asshole

  • I dont think you should teach any Russian))))

    Please learn it first))))

    Not recommended to any begginers

  • Very good Russian "basics", man you are advanced in my eyes not basic anymore and your accent is not bad at all, coming from an American and even more that your afro-american my respect goes for you off the charts. Keep learning the language you might get a good job as a translator maybe for some high company that deals with Russia or a teacher. You say the words with very good accent , your teaching skills are good too. Now just learn more and more words, cuz your grammar is good enough almost.

  • Hey,man. You did good. Sure, you have some mistakes, but is more important that you got the rules! Mistakes can be fix later. So go on!

I think i have more mistakes in my english, than you in russian.

Oh, and i think i know, why you confused two different words: "брат" (brother) and "брать" (to take). We have words with "Ь" in russian: "братья" (brothers) and "братьями" (by brothers). I think you was confused a little and added that soft sign in single form of it.

    Greetings from Siberia :)

  • you know what if you cant read russian yet you know

  • only one question why u learning russian?

  • :o.

  • У вас очень много грамматических ошибок! Правильно писать

    Большой

    Эти журналы класные!

Слово ( в единственном числе, слова во множественном)! А также правильно сказать

Не " Мой журналы класные!" а, " мои журналы класные! "

Но меня порожает ваше знание русского языка! Вы очень хороший учитель! Мне бы так знать английский как вы знаете русский!

  • @olyaORdoll , "поражает" пишется через "А".

  • @olyaORdoll By the way, jus' wanted to tell you that it's o'k to correct other people when they make grammar mistakes, but, probably you did not notice or whatever, you had actually made a mistake of your own. You wrote the word "klaSnyy" incorrectly instead of "klaSSnyy". Just be aware of that when you correct other people and at the same time make mistakes of your own....

  • Gracias.

  • thank you soo very much! that video was VERY VERY helpful:)

  • Thank you so much!!!This is really helpful :)

  • How long would it take for someone to learn Russian? Approximately

  • @omagee07 Actually, if you speak other European languages, it will not be too difficult for you to learn Russian. There are many words in Russian which are exactly the same as in English or German. Like "manager" or "computer" and many others. I have friends who learned Russian in the UK and they speak really well, then they went to Moscow and after that their accent almost turned into native Russian.

  • @omagee07 Many people in Russia learn it 9 or 11 years and don't speak/write correctly.

  • My school doesn't teach Russian and I wish to learn this language.

  • мне нужнА практикА. these need to have the same ending, because практика is a feminin word. нужен = for masculine words; нужно =neutral; нужни =plural; thx for your video!

  • after watching Mila Kunis speak russian, i want to learn russian! it sounds sexy! haha :) i was just looking for a new language to learn.. i know 4 and was looking for a 5th

  • клево - it's incorrect.

    клЁво (клйово)

  • Ошибки делаете, не путайте "ы" с"и" :)

  • славян*

  • СЛОВО -одно. СЛОВА- много.

Кстати Лаоши это очень важное слово для всех славян ) .чтоб ты понимал от этого слова происходит название целой "расы"-словян, то есть тех кто владели словом,а все остальные были немцы -то есть немые не владеющие словом,аналог варвары те кто говорит "вар вар" вместо слов.

  • I'm impressed, well done!

  • great work! Thanks! Keep it up! :)

  • Thanks dude. And digging the hat.

  • lol i don't know Russian at all so i laugh every time he points to a backwards N and says its an E

  • Thank you that was helpful.

  • Nice of you to try and help out others but almost every word on your board is misspelled.

  • Congratulations on reaching 1000 videos! :)

  • so is it better to read it out of a book? or to learn it from like an online software? or to buy something? can anyone tell me which is better?

  • @dijlil2 You may want to start with a coursebook. You can try courses like ''Teach Yourself Russian'' ''Living Language Russian'' I would say ''Assimil Russian'' but I was only able to find the French version only.

  • I never really notice things when it comes to black and whites but I've never heard of a black person speaking Russian! You're so cool great video спосибо (⌒▽⌒)

  • woo wooo woo! brother a black dude talking russian 0.o cool! :D

  • sounds kinda Japanese

  • Great vidio, man

  • Your pronunciation got some problem, Laoshu! You got a French or Spanish accent when you pronunced Russian words. I practised my russian with a russian girl at my university, she spoke delicately without many stressed sounds!

  • also... maybe u reccomend me how to start our studying. what would you propose for a beginning? i am waiting for your answer!)

  • so nice... i am a teacher of English in Belarus (we also speak Russian) and i was asked to teach Russian for a non-Russian. i really dont know how to explain some rules.... and it seems to me too much difficult comparing with teaching English. hope ur vids will help me)))))))) XXXXXXXXXX anyway thanx a lot for your work. u would be (or u are?) a great teacher

  • Thanks for Fan, Man :) Check my video. When you will be able to write a russian dictation from the video -your russian will be well ).

  • too many faults & mistakes. russian is my native language. You ought to improve your skill.

  • @shtirlic76tube That's correct. This is why I'm here on youtube making these type of videos. Thanks for commenting.

  • @shtirlic76tube hi!! I'm very interested in learning Russian, do you think you could help me out. is there any good books i should look at or something? thanks!

ps... what is that book is that called and who is the author and publisher please? thank you :)

  • @yohomeykitkat Hey there. The title of the book is ''Nachao'' authors: Lubensky, Ervin, McLellan, Jarvis

  • Столько ошибок!!!!

  • this guy is great!

  • sick man! I'm actually starting to understand. *favourite

  • Man, there is spelling mistakes on your board:

    not "бАльшой" — "бОльшой"

    "писма"—"пиСЬма"

    "клевИе"—"клевЫе"

    "класснИе"—"класнЫе"

Also you might name Й as "ee-e short" in english, because "краткое" means "short".

And the noun "brother" is "браТ", without soft sign (мягкий знак in russian). "братЬ" (with soft sign) is verb "to take".

    P. S. I am russian, i can help you with this things, just reply if you want.

  • @pouzeot Thanks for the feedback.

  • @pouzeot hi!! I'm very interested in learning Russian, do you think you could help me out. is there any good books i should look at or something? thanks!

  • @WoWwarriorKarilyn @WoWwarriorKarilyn Unfortunately i don't know any good book about russian language for english speakers. I know only good books about english for russians.

On YouTube i recommend to watch Tim Kirby videos: tkirby3679

He is american, who lives in Russia and speaks russian very good.

  • I am so confused x.x

  • БРАТЬ is a verb, infinitive.

you confuse it with the word БРАТ that means brother

  • эти журналы клевЫе

    моИ журналы очень класснЫе

  • Ehh Eastern European languages sound quite vile and gross.

  • @EsoterikSurgery Don`t abuse the foreign languages you don`t know

  • @MrLibertine79 well i know they sound quite vile and gross, its the truth!

  • @EsoterikSurgery Well you sound quite vile and gross too

  • @MrLibertine79 Hey! Its just my opinion.

  • @EsoterikSurgery Don`t leave your shit on the internet because it has a foul smell

  • My Oxford англо-русский dictionary said "word" was слово, слова.

    Слова с слово?

Ты Лаушу - волшье язикник. я тебе люблю. Пока. (Айм лэйзи Анд донт Вант ту чэйндж май киборд лэйаут. Хаха. Со ай стиль Райт ин энглиш.)

  • Nice lesson, but as a native Russian speaker I must confess that there is too much faults. Perhaps, this textbook is not so good.

  • этот= this

    это=this is

so you can't say: " этот очень хороший журнал" = "this very good magazine". Right version is: " "это очень хороший журнал" = This IS very good magazine. Keep it up. You're very good at russian ;)

  • "I live in Russia. You have an error!!!

    not - "эти журналы клевие"

    must - "эти журналы клевые"

    and

    not классние; yes - классные

    [ы]))))"

  • I live in Russia. You have an error!!!

    not - "эти журналы клевие"

    must - "эти журналы клевые"

    and

    not классние; yes - классные

    [ы]))))

  • a actually speak german but, this video helps a lot more than any other - sorry - shit I've seen online. Good Video! Thanx Iaoshu! Great Stuff!

  • @iggczueri russian is my native. There lots of mistakes in this lesson.

  • мля я ржу нимагу! доска у тя чувак клевая!!! брать-это brother!!! It`s very funny! U have lot of mistakes man! U should pass some class in russian youself!

  • Большое спасибо!

  • Comment removed

  • oops forgot to thank you, thanks for posting this i will watch a few more time and move on to ur other videos :]

  • i wrote the words and translations for some of them down and how id pronounce then with english letters... this is tough

  • Thanks man for doing this. I think you have done a great job! I have been working in Ukraine for the past year and a half and when I got here I knew absolutely NO Russian. I still know very little. So Thank you again for taking time out of your day and sharing your knowledge. Very cool of you!!

  • blurry

  • I'm not racist... but... that's funny... a black boy teaching russian? =P ( lol )

  • How is that NOT racist? Anyone should be able to speak/teach any language if they're good at it. What if you wanted to learn an African or Asian language? No one should say it's "funny" if you did.

  • Haha,, yea that comment was really a contridiction wasn't it =^_^=

  • Oh give me a break, relax... see... even the author of the video took my comment so easy... hehe... it's just funny, at least for me... Try to imagine, that I'm teaching Zulu language. It's funny, even for me!! Come on, I'm not racist... =P Anyway, he teaches russian so well, but if some day he decides to teach Slovenian, I will let him to call me... so I may help. Regards!!!!!

  • I'm not really calling YOU a racist, but the comment was pretty absurd. Regardless, I am not the most PC person myself as I think people all over need thicker skins. However, I agree and disagree. Yeah it would be amusing to see someone teach "Zulu" but actually that'd be very interesting to see at the same time. Language isn't about one's race, it's about 1. One's history, 2. One's interest. That's all I see it as. I take it you're Slovenian?

  • Ok... regards!!

by the way, for some people, i.e like me, languages (not all) are related to race, culture and history. But, once again, sorry my joke wasn't intendend to offend. I read it again, sorry for saying "black boy", I can realize now how much ugly it sounds =(

  • i think he just meant that he doesnt see black guys speaking other languages besides native ones

  • Okay, no more negative comments.

So I will do a regular constructive comment.

"Этот" is not pronounced "Etoht" but more like "Etut" with stress on first syllabul.

  • Good, lets keep it this way. I appreciate it.

  • Oh yea bro, I forgot to thank you for the correction on the ''Etut'' Thanks a bunch.

  • No Problem :)

  • @laoshu505000 actually you say it like ETOT))

  • Siskel and Ebert give your comment one more thumb up :)

  • You can explain the meaning of the word 'карябать' in Russian, that will prove everything! LOL

  • Well you can believe that you want but I know what is correct. And "Priceless in Print" is just me misreading it.

  • If you misread it, will you please translate 'Роковая на нем печать' correctly now.

  • I will try but your just going to say it sounds like "google".

    His destiny is sealed

  • I'm a native speaker of Russian, I can prove whatever I say, and I say what I see. Google translates this phrase like 'Priceless press on it', you say 'Priceless in print', you both are a way far from understanding the actual meaning...

  • You are ridiculous! Only Google translates it this way. You are a cheap cloown, then. Don't you think that everywhere around there are only rettarded ones like you.

  • I can speak in Russian Language! Why can you not give me a break? I am not a professional translator, I am only 14! I do not know all of the English words! How do you expect me to know how to translate everything?

  • But your English has no grammar mistakes, and every sententence in Russian you write has really bad mistakes. Remember: Google translator is too little developed now to translate Russian without mistakes, if you don't know Russian grammar, you cannot pass off its translation for your own, my dear.

  • карябать "to spoil"

  • It is not 'to spoil', my dear.

  • You didn't have problem with this before!

  • As I told Alexius, no more negative stuff. If you post more negative stuff, I won't tolerate it. Please stop it now.

  • TheBeatleLoversThree, It's a Google translation with some corrections of yours to hide the fact you don't speak Russian. What is 'карябать' ? You just omitted this word. 'Роковая на нем печать' = 'Priceless in print' ????

  • Ok, enough. If you guys ccontinue with this, I'm gonna have to do something about it. Please...no arguing here.

  • I argue just for the sake of Truth. If you ask, I stop.

  • Ok, let it be your last argument. If I continue to see negative stuff I won't tolerate it so I ask both of you to stop now.

  • MOSES YOU ARE A MUSLIM! thats so cool, so am i. good lookin out bro

  • Too many mistakes for a lesson. You need to prepare in a better way :-D

    брать means 'to take'

    'brother' is брат

Besides, your masculine plural rules don't fit many of masc. nouns: дом (pl. дома), конь (pl. кони) etc. And why don't you mention masculine nouns ending in -a or -я : мужчина

  • Hey there buddy. As I've acknowledged in all of the lesson videos I've made, there will be mistakes. Mistakes are great due to us being able to learn from them. I'm not sure if you caught that

acknowledgement..however, I really do appreciate your corrections and look forward to more corrections coming soon. Thanks again.

  • The fact that I correct your mistakes and let you learn from them seems to be the proof that I'd caught that acknowledgement, doesn't it? ;)

  • Yes, you're right. Thanks a lot.

  • Great video Laoshu, keep them coming!

  • y ur videos r so loooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggggg

btw ur this video is the first which actually helped me coz im currently learning chinese and russian

    thanx a lot

but when i'll start learning japanese insha allah i'll refer to ur videos :)

    p.s i just knew u r muslim :)

  • =^_^=

  • wow it was quick

  • Going to be starting Russian very soon, and I'll be referring to this lesson when I do. Thanks man!

  • бальшой = большой

    письма = писЬма

    журналы клёвие = журналы клёвЫе

    журнал клёво = журнал клёвЫЙ

    тру́дние упражнения = тру́днЫе упражнения

    практика = internship

  • Hmm..I just looked up in the dictionary and it said that ''praktika'' also means practice. This must be a crappy dictionary. Thanks for the corrections by the way.

  • No, that's right. "Практика" does also mean practice.

Good video, but yeah, quite a lot of mistakes on the board...

"Брать" means to take and "Брат" is brother.

Then, you write "клЁво", not "клЕво" , but you better use the word "классно" cuz you pronounce it better..) but anyways, a plural for "клёвый" is "клёвЫе", just as in "класснЫе".

  • Hehe..Actually I will probably use the one I need more practice with. If I continue to use a word I pronounce better than the other, how would I get better at pronouncing it? I think I will use Klevo more since it's the one I need more practice with. This only makes sense to me. Thanks again here.

  • And "словО" is word, "словА" is words.

And you also missed "Ь" in "письма" and it's "бОльшая", not "бАльшая".

Then, on the second board, the mistakes are in the 3rd and the last sentence, you say "трудные упражнения", not "труние упражненИя"

  • and "мне нужнА практика, потому что я думаю, что моИ слова очень плохие" (by the way, you better just say "my Russian isn't good" instead of "my words")

Please do not take this as an offense, I just want to help you a bit. You're doing a great job, keep it up! ;)

  • Hi. Don't worry, this is the type of contructive criticism I've been talking about. I really do appreciate it.

  • Ты пишеш с Твоя левая руку? Я тоже пишу с моя левая руку.

  • да, я всегда пишу с моя левая руку..hehehe

  • You should say "Ты пишешь левой рукой?" or "Ты левша?" and "Я тоже пишу левой рукой" or "Я тоже левша"

  • Да, я знаю, но Я могу говорить как я хочу.

  • You can really speak the way you like, but mind, if you say "я пишу с левой рукой", it's NOT Russian! Because in real Russian his phrase means "I and my left hand write", it sounds as if your left hand is your friend, you come to him and together with him you start writing! lol

  • Yeah xDD

Well, let him say "what he wants" if he can't admit his mistakes and then people will be laughing at him

  • Ну и что?

  • Hey man, don't worry about it. We're here to learn so lets accept the corrections.

  • Ничего особенного,

TheBeatleLoversThree. Просто ты можешь либо говорить по-русски, либо пользоваться переводчиком Google, и думать, что никто этого не понимает. lol

Translation: Nothing special, TheBeatleLoversThree. You can either really speak Russian, or you can use Google Translator and think that nobody understand what you use.

  • Nyet, Yah deystvitel'no govoryu po-Russki :)

  • Золотые, далекие дали!

    Все сжигает житейская мреть.

    И похабничал я и скандалил

    Для того, чтобы ярче гореть.

Дар поэта — ласкать и карябать,

    Роковая на нем печать.

    Розу белую с черною жабой

    Я хотел на земле повенчать.

Translate these lines into English to prove you speak Russian.

  • Okay I am trying

A gold far away place, everything is burning, worldly death

    And I stole and scandaled,

I did this in order to more brightly burn.

A gift of a poet is to show love,

    Priceless in print.

A White Rose with a Black Toad

I wanted on Earth to marry.

Is this good enough to prove to you?

  • السلام علبكم و رحمة الله و بركاته,

When you make your own lessons like this is it worth transferring the lesson/notes off the board into a 'hard copy' i.e. writing it up in a exercise book for future reference? Regards

  • Transfer to a hard copy? Normally I don't.

  • So I take it that you try to master whats on the board before wiping it away? In that case, say for example you wanted to revise this TY Russian lesson again you would flick through the relevant chapters and write up another similar lesson on the board?

  • The stuff I wrote on the board is stuff I've learned already. I just like to help and share that knowledge with others-especially if they need help with it. It also benefits me too for getting mistakes corrected.

  • Ja ochen' ljublju russkj jazyk no grammatika neverjatno trudna. Proiznoshenie takzhe!

  • Your pronunciation is going to improve. But it is good and clear.

  • You seem to have a thick Serbian accent. :)

  • Thanks

  • Vot tak!! Vuuuooooot taaakkkkkkk!!

  • とても面白いの言語ですよでも時間がなくて勉強するは出来ない。今努力日本語を勉強しているんです。その後他のアジアの言語を勉強したいです。

    貴方の考えかたはとてもいいです。あのアジアの言語はもっともっと面白いと楽しいです。

  • Perfect timing! I just got a Russian self study book and was planning on studying a little bit of Russian.
