  • anybody know why he named his songs like he does ?

  • @xXStealthPandaXx Like most other artists - they have no other name for the song in mind therefore they put random stuff

  • @SIMPLlCITY i'm pretty sure he named the tracks for the time he made them, or at least its a time... 19 hrs 11 mins like military time

  • @SIMPLlCITY i would hav no have thought of that ._.

i thought he just did it to lookc school lol

  • @SIMPLlCITY Like Doomspleen said, the name of the song is the time when he finished it (19h11 is 19:11 or 7:11 pm in french)

  • god damn danger rules. and its weird 'cause he's been sending me notes for like...couple days now 0_o

  • if you like this you probally like the toxic avengers music and surkin check them out

  • Does the beginning remind anyone else of FFVIII?

  • wtf this is not good training music :S

  • man this and glitch mob is my mornin

  • I suspect that Danger's songwriting process goes like this:

    1. Write extremely engaging melodies and record them on possibly analog hardware synthesizers.

    2. Add a beat and arrange it into an accessible song format.

    3. Go over the whole song and punch it up with breaks, stutters, glitches, one-shot sfx samples, random re-pitches of any or all instruments because nothing is out of bounds, bass guitar mini solos/fills, full on periods of silence, etc

    4. repeat step 3 about 40 times.

  • @Budgetgravy

    What about Boys Noize?

  • @kaeotix There are a few, like Boys Noize and maybe The Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT etc. but most of the good shit comes from France.

  • @Budgetgravy HAHAHAHA. You, my friend, are a certifiable moron. The United States doesn't really own any genre of music? Jazz started in the US. From jazz came the blues. From the blues came rock & roll. Hip hop and R&B started in America. And all those genres went on to influence later scenes.

And by the way? ELECTRO started in Germany in the 70's and flourished in NEW YORK and DETROIT in the 80s. All France owns is French house. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • @lawlsimpopular quit with the nationalism please, that was only cool at the beginning of the 20st century and that is a LONG time ago.

  • the noise gate application at :31 is applied perfectly - amazing mix of the beat and melody, and then at 1:02 the beat gets driven home really well with it - super cool and inovative :)

  • danger forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin sic!

  • Wtf have I heard this intro in a movie trailer rsum?

I'm speechless. One, I already listen to those two. Second, thank you for jumping to conclusions on musical taste due to a single youtube comment. And I could care less for a thumbs down.

  • @Dvnoid Mr. Oizo is harder than that

  • @AluminumJacket although im not french at all... i have no choice but to agree

  • @AluminumJacket no one i know knows about danger, it fucking blows until i bring em over and blow their ears out

  • @AluminumJacket Im a fan of all electronic music, but I'd agree with the fact that French Electro cannot be touched, they own it. Just like Israel owns Psychyadelic trance, and England owns Drum and Bass XD

  • @torq72 united states owns rap

  • @metalmilitiapeter I prefer british rap

  • @AluminumJacket you mean the only proove of GOOD electronic music.

  • Haven't i heard the start in a game before?

  • the cheap aftersahve hes wearing :P

  • "Shoot me a link of some of your music"

I actually don't have anything online. Most of my productions were for my own sets or contributions to others.

But having said that, my studio is almost up and running again and i will be working on a small album, which i will be releasing digitally.

I'll be sure to send you some previews !

Im gonna try hit the blogs hard with it. At the end of the day, if its good its good !

  • When electro started to take off big over here and i began discovering music such as this, i thought it would be massive.

But to my surprise alot of it remained relatively unknown over here. Justice did extremely well but thats about it.

But i was glad to hear of the French success in USA. Maybe not so much commercially but on a massive dance platform for them.

As i said, it baffles me. This stuff is so advanced and incredible sounding, i don't understand how it seems to stay un-noticed.

  • Yea tone is a problem when writing lmao !

I didn't mean to come off any certain way either.

Just trying to bring my point about.

"Danger is just the type of music I have been searching for my whole life"

I know exactly what you mean. To me the music is incredible and some of the best and skillful dance music ever produced.

And the themes and sounds are just perfect.

I still don't understand why music like this seems to skip the UK and other countries when it comes to great success.

    contd

  • in my experience you need the whole picture.

It depends who you are aiming for, a minority of majority. I started off early in my career catering for an underground minority. But later on i wanted my music to appeal to a larger audience.

I wouldn't change Danger or any of the French genius. Actually alot of Dangers other tracks are quite complete indeed, just for me this one lacks something. Its great, but it seems to get to a 'place' leaving you needing for the main event.

  • One thing you have to realize about listening to this music on youtube is that it gets HEAVILY compressed, so alot of times subtle differences which really make the track get lost in compression, leaving something to be desired.

If you feel the same way about it even at hi quality then disregard this but personally this is one of my favorite danger tracks. Also can't describe how much i love 4h30!

  • I've got wav files of all Dangers tracks and his Ep on vinyl :)

Its not the sound quality its.. what i described before. It sounds like part of a song, but never reaches its completion.

Btw, have you heard Dangers 'tv' remix of Lovejuice ?

Its old now but an amazing track.

  • OMG YES! That has to be one of my favorite tracks of all time. Even on just a purely sonic level it is perfection, but it's beyond epic with the way the melody progresses.

  • @7cujo7

Yea its so uplifting in an epic way.

This might sound crazy but i wish he remastered his best tracks on put them on an album.

  • I know where you stand in your mind at the moment, because i've been there.

I've been dj'ing and producing on and off for over 16 years now and of course have been brainwashed by every kind of music since a little child.

A dj or producer will listen intentively to a track but thats usually in an almost selfish way. We can find things that are really clever about a track, and thats good for our personal listening. But if your thinking of catering for a massive audience then..

  • @DonJuanDeMarco2 You are being way too civilized for youtube comments. Haven't you read Lord of the Flies? They're gonna kill you like they did Piggy.

  • @greenpeppers311

Lol. Did you know 'La Mano Negro' have taken over most if not all latin gangs in the entire state of L.A ?

You might want to know that it was founded by no more than five members and that the numbers are still kept small and efficient.

Im afraid Piggy died in vain.

  • i didn't know L.A. was a state?

  • @himynamesjason i dont think it is

  • @DonJuanDeMarco2

you know that L.A's a city, right?

  • Believe me i know exatcly what your talking about.

If you were to see how my studio is rigged it would blow your mind just thinking about it.

Danger is extremely talented, his finished mixes are a little harsh, but its the originality and capturing of certain essences that spells the magic for Danger.

But never forget no matter how complex a piece can get and how much effort and skill has gone into it, we are still talking about music here. And music is something you hear and feel.

    contd.

  • I love the intro. This song is sick

  • This guy is clearly more attached to the '80s then I am.

  • beste!

  • you tube is the only place i can find this guy and its driving me nuts everytime i google search it it leads me nowhere can anyone help??

  • he has a myspace

  • thanks i did find it

  • what song do you want and i can get it for you for free?

  • um prob revolte 22h10

  • it does sound like thriller in the beginning XD

  • Haha, the beginning reminded me of Thriller in a way >_>

  • i laaaav thriller D:< hai david

  • does this have lyrcis no right?

  • This track is absolutely great!!

  • can i buy this album somewhere?`?

  • from beatport

  • itunes has it now.

  • i was just wondering, please no bad replys when i ask this, but why does danger title their songs with number-h-number?

    just curious :]

  • I was thinking that too. Mayby its signature or something.

  • It's said that it's the time it was made, but I'm not sure if Danger! has ever confirmed it to be so.

Just passing on what I heard.

  • i believe its supposed to be 19/11

  • Its how Europeans say the time like we say 12:30

  • his songs are based on an hour, and a specific time. H = hour

    00h00 = 12:00am

  • doesn't he have a song called 88h88 though...maybe that just sorta a joke on his theme though

  • yeah it is

88:88 if you look on digital clock. is all the possible numbers

  • i want this song :D

  • Kavinsky lol, you must be stoned.

  • This track is just begging for vocals don't you think !?

Fantastic epic sounding material but never reaches its full potential as a song.

  • definitely no vocals, this song has plenty going on

  • Plenty going on, but it still sounds like a instrumental to something..

  • Some people like vocals some dont, I think if this had vocals they would haveto scale back the many sounds and it wouldnt be such a fucking great song.

Remix it with vocals and youll be butchering its perfection!

  • I absolutely love this stuff, but when im submersed in the middle of an epic dj set and i play a track like this, compared to the dynamics of other songs, it can't help but sound like an instrumental.

I usually mix in an old song of any genre over the top and it sounds great.

It needs at least a vocal breakdown. It just sounds like the instrumental to some amazing record.

Actually, i don't even know if its actually a vocal that is needed. I just can't put my finger on it.

  • Totally understand, most people feel uncomfortable without lyrics...not the electro banger crowd but the average clubber just needs some stupid raps or hook over everything

  • For me its just tracks like these that need 'something' on them. Its more musical than your average club track, which is probably why i feel it needs something.

  • That's how Ethan Kath felt until he met Alice Glass. He had good beats but felt something was missing met Alice and Made Crystal Castles:)

  • Very cool

  • This sounds oddly like a final fantasy game at first.

  • sounds like Kavinsky

  • this is so true.

  • best tune

  • reminds me of Shadow Run, the snes game. In the beginning. Wow, such talent.

  • This song is a fucking beast man. It's just ridiculous. The beat is so broken it could be SebastiAn - Head/OFF's father. Perfection

  • btw...what is up with the titles? lke ##h##

not saying i dont like it..i like it.

  • this is danger's originality

  • Pretty sure it's like 19 hours, 11 minutes (with a 24-hour day). When he started the song, or finished it? I dunno. I don't think it's really original, but naming all of his songs in that format has a certain aesthetic that's pretty cool.

  • Can you send me this music please?

sorry for my english I'm french

  • i will never forgive you for your english Chach0u84

  • ????????

  • there were no msitakes in youre english......
