I made your chicken and rice casserole for my family today. They all loved it! They are a pick bunch when it comes to food. Thank for giving us a recipe we all enjoy.
WOW -- this looks great, but then again, your work is always fantastic and you are so good to share it with the rest of us that are truly non-cooks and need your help.
Hi Betty, I love your recipes, but I have one question. I need to make at least a roast pan full of this, so how much will I need of ALL the ingredients, especially the flour and cheese mix?
@YolandaAdamsfan This recipe makes a medium to large size casserole dish. I don't know the size of your roasting pan, but if you think it would fit 4 casseroles in it, multiply each ingredient by 4 and mix them in the roasting pan and bake.
Betty, do you think I could sprinkle crumbled Ritz crackers over the top for a little crust, and if so, at what point of the baking, and for how long? Thanks, you're awesome!!
Hi Betty, I'm in London and I enjoy your presenting style - good home-cooking that isn't too fussy. I'd like to say that you look particularly nice in this video - love the different hair and the top :-)
I am so glad I found your videos. :) I'm currently living in Norway so these recipes will be very helpful in giving me a taste of home (I'm from NC). So I wanted to say thanks!
This looks like a delicious casserole! I really like the idea of using rotini in this recipe. I plan to try this soon, probably using some leftover rotisserie chicken. Thanks for sharing another great recipe!
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy the casserole. I have several casseroles, along the same theme--chicken, tuna, roast beef, ham. I keep the white sauce, change the meat, the type of cheese, and the vegetables. (I have had a lot of requests for casseroles!) Thanks for your sweet comment!
Thank you so much Betty for this recipe! I made this last night for our little party and people loved it! I was so glad it turned out well coz i'd never made a casserole before~
Betty I wana learn a way to cook a pasta sauce with tuna... Any ideas and i mean tuna chunks from the can aswell like you did with the chicken.....Peace
Sounds great to me! The salt and oil are not necessary. The salt adds a little flavor, and the oil keeps them from sticking, but your way works just fine! Thanks for the nice comment!
I love good food, but I eat only small portions of things that have a lot of fat and/or sugar. I eat lots of fruits and vegetable, so I feel full without eating many unhealthy foods. I also work out 4 days a week with a trainer. Thanks for viewing my videos and for commenting!
i made this today..i had to make it twice as big though so i judt doubled the ingredients but the cheese was not really working out the way urs did..idunno why i did it how u said to..but either way it came out pretty good everyone in my fam loved it...THNX =]

Hi Betty I finally subscribed instead of just visiting you everyday for the recipes, does your family ever have leftovers. You and your daughter are doing a awesome job. Oh yeah I tried the tuna casserole tonite yum-o.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the tuna recipe. Yes, we have leftovers, but I freeze them if they are casseroles, brownies, etc., and then I thaw them out when I don't want to cook! Thanks for subscribing and for your sweet comment!

Parmesan and Alfredo anyone? Or would that taste absolutely gross? I kinda really hate cheddar cheese
mak3myda3 1 year ago
@mak3myda3 I make Alfredo sauce from Parmesan or Romano cheese. You can use either cheese in the place of cheddar, if you don't like cheddar cheese.

@Bountybeard Finely crushed Ritz crackers would be great on the top. I would add them about 10 minutes before the end of baking.
