I happends when something fall or your falls on the ground then your laser can reads but i cant move anymore (i know it off my psp) then you have the give the laser a push and normally it will works.

It was only when I got GTA IV and the game started to freeze up and then started getting this error code. A lot of people are saying there's problems with GTA IV freezing up. I don't know if that's what's caused it.

Yeah I thought it might be that. I've got GT5 Pro which is downloaded to the hdd and it plays fine. Any ps3 games and Blu-ray films don't play at all. My ps3 is a 60gb which I've had since Aug 07. It's still under warranty, so I'll phone Sony and sort something out.

well for the price you have to take proper care of it plain and simple, putting the air vent up against the desk and taking all those wires taking it easier for dust to collect. Take more care of your system and it will run fine.

assuming you bought the protection plan. bring it in and tell them it broke and they'll replace it with no questions asked. If you didnt get protection plan then call sony and get factory certified which takes 1-3 weeks from what i've heard to receive.

its not just cod 4. i've heard it happen to other games too. THis game just so happens to be the only game everyone plays on the ps3. I got a new ps3 and my stats were saved online with my playstation id. Only thing i lost was single player save data.

there's no fix. if you get that error code it's the kiss of death for your ps3 I'm afraid. you'll be able to get it working after hours of leaving it, but games will defo freeze again. not sure how it works in the US, but I rang the ps3 care line and someone came to my house and exchanged it within a week of reporting the problem. the quicker you ring them, quicker you'll get it sorted.

Exactly what's happening to mine... since I don't live in the US(I live in Central America), I had to look around for someone that could fix it. This guy has fixed over 20 PS3 consoles, and he told me today that it had something to do with the solenoids in the motor. He's fixing it right now, bad news is that it'll be $165.00.
