If when you try to fly in the Head Down position you lose stability and 'bail', you should fall on to your back rather than your belly.
The simple reason for this is that the Belly Fly position is a much slower falling position, and as the wind speed is likely to be high while learning to fly Head Down, if you fall onto your belly you will go up very quickly which can be dangerous. If you fall to your back, you will have a faster natual fall rate and maintain more control.
