Whats strange about it? Margarito didnt knock Cotto out, his uncle threw in the towel. Yes Margarito is unorthadox but he is very strong at heart and physicaly. Cotto landed MORE CLEANER shots than Margarito. But, Margarito landed more shots. He hit Cotto in the hip, arms, shoulders, kidneys, chin, head, nutts etc..

from what i saw, cotto went down twice. the first time was a knock down and the second was when he went down on his own cuz he couldnt take anymore plaster shots. and look at mayweather. he blocks most of the shots. he gets hit on the arms, back, hips, and so forth and never goes down. i would say that most of margaritos shots were blocked. less than half actually landed in the right spots. the only way for those few shots to knock him out is with something hard inside. THATS COMMON SENSE!

lets get this straight, dela hoya was in great shape when he fought floyd, right? it took floyd all 12 rounds to beat him by SPLIT decision. dela hoya drains himself to fight pacman, and gives up in the 8th round. he lost all 8 rounds to pac. it took floyd 10 rounds to beat hatton and 2 rounds for pacman to beat hatton. use some common sense dumbass.

Ok when you get hit in the arms it causes the arms to seem heavier. Thus, the fighter expends more energy throwing punches than he would otherwise use. Therefore, Cotto was using more stamina/energy than he has ever utilized before.

Cotto did not get knocked down, he took a knee. I simply was suggesting that maybe Cotto was exhausted from the accumulation of punches thrown and taken. And maybe thats why he took a knee. Heavier arms = more energy expended when throwing punches. Thus, the afforementioned result.
Well smart guy you should be able to figure this one out on ur own! Mayweather can possibly have great endurance, thats probably why he was able to sustain oscars output.

his punches seem alot slower in the cotto fight he wouldnt have just started using illegal handwraps against mosley he probably would have been doing it for a while hes alot smaler when put next to mosley and by judging that you would expect mosley to be the heavier hitter and he caught cotto with alot of good shots which only left him with a tiny cut to his right eye in the 11 or 12th round but in the margarito fight he ended up looking like he had been hit with an anvil mate. doesnt make sense
