Totally awesome track, love the sound! I've got the x0xb0x 303 clone, ps: how do you rate them compared to the 303? Anyway, this makes me want to buy another 2!!
Total genius, simply joyful. I first saw Hardfloor performing this live on MTV, 16 March 1996, as I waited for the Frank Bruno vs Mike Tyson fight. I knew how Bruno felt, as the track knocked me out! They did Mahogany Roots too. Fantastic stuff.

Hi Ramon, I just wanted to say thanks to you and Oliver for writing this track. It took my head off when I heard it in 1993, and it inspired me (already an electronic music-maker at the time) to write my first trance track. It got released (on Phantasm Records), and nearly 20 years later I'm still doing it. So all the travel and gigs and releases and parties and festivals and good times and hard times and skills I've learned and people I've worked with: it's all your fault. Thankyou so much.
@ColinOOOD Thank you very much. It´s a very deep compliment and not easy to comprehend (uhhh - a rhyme!) when you are a musician, who is inspired himself by other artist like we are :-) Keep it going !!
This brings me back basement nightclub sweat dripping from ceiling 2.30 in the morning and the dj drops this and the place explodes hair on the back off the neck stuff

Hey Austyn, this track ist from 1992 ! We made it with Atari SL & Notator, Akai S1000, Roland TR909, Waldorf Mircowave and three TB 303s - OLDSCHOOOOOL :-)
Great stuff! Bought that track long time ago! However, I always thought you use only two 303s - but as I read it now for the first time that you use three, I think I can identify three at approx. 2:30. So far, I thought it's two plus effects but now I guess this part untilizes three 303s... - right or wrong?
@drstrobo SAY WHAT! Crazy what you made this track with. It Is a RAVE classic!!! IT still gives me insane chillz to this day & stands out as one of the best acid tracks of all time. Not to mention, it blows most of the crap out now-a-days OUT THE WATER
Some untalented people spew forth utter crap and inexperienced people praise it. Luckily there are those of us who require more of music. This is a great example of an atmospheric tune. Just the mentioning of Basshunter got me sick and my ears vomited for an hour and my soul almost got sick beyond repair :)
@MoronAntidote Zomfg, This is so weird, The anime series "Eureka Seven" has 4 episodes, named "Acperience 1, Acperience 2, Acperience 3, Acperience 4". It also has Mecha's named The 303, The 808, and the 909. I guess there is more to that anime than meets the eye.
@xxjamezxxdot I had finished watching Eureka 7 as well. I went to research what "Acperience" meant and came across this song. And after reading the comments, there are (too) many "coincidences." I began to believe that this song inspired the creators of Eureka 7. Either that or it's a tribute to Ray and Charles; their song had a similar feel to this one. Also, @MoronAntidote I believe you are right there!
hola hombres, this is the very very best acid that we had at the middle of the 90´s

When i started raving in 93 i went to lots of squat raves in london, mainly hard house and jungle but the first time i heard this tune dropped,My God it tore the fucking roof off! best European techno/trance outfit.Word!
Im in love for this song from the first time i'v heard it. When I bought the cd including this track. it was in early 90's and the tile of album was "The point with no return"....
Yes, kids.... once upon a time, dance music producers used real synthesizers and rhythm machines and tape recorders when they played parties. Nowadays it's all Ableton this and Brett Favre's penis that...
I'll never forget hearing this for the first time in Eatern Bloc in Manchester, and thinking "what the fuck is that?!?" and buying it almost out of embarrassment, cause the bloke playing it was convinced it was fucking hardcore, and I didn't want to seem like a complete newb! He was right!
Too young to remember this tune first time round, but it's reputation always preceded it. I used to drop it into a hardcore acid techno set back in 2001-2002... all the older heads in the room seemed to get it more than the younger...
All us lot who were over the dirty old raves and by now had grown our hair long, long, wearing frilly shirts, leather trousers & biker boots with the girls in pin curls, chokers and long Margiela skirts at Milk Bar of a friday night in 1991 - fuck it this track was back to sweatbox wallabies and ponchos. 303 I love you.
Now this was my all time fave acid tune and always will be,i cannot believe this tune..get shivers whenever i hear it,memories from 92-93, i was there and i'm so happy i was!
I agree THIS is music for the grown ups! Damn im sitting here with the chils now... That REAL 303 sound.... It just brings so many good memories with it... That was times and I love that I was a DJ who played REAL Techno with REAL VINYL... Thak you for bringing me back to the good old days...
No it's the other way round. Rebirth sounds like this. When this track was written (1992) Rebirth wouldn't exist for another 4 years (1996). This was made on REAL 303's and 808's and 909's. Propellerheads made Rebirth because everybody wanted to be able to do this too without forking out 1000s on vintage gear.
@jmahjmahjmah You misunderstood. I wasn't saying I was under the impression this was made on rebirth. I'm saying it sounds like lazy acid music as If someone had just launched rebirth and made a generic acid tune.
You can even see from the vid that they're using hardware.....
@Electroguy1 Ok I see what you mean but I'd respond to that similarly - when this was released there was no such thing as a generic acid tune! These guys were amongst the pioneers and innovators of that sound. I can see why you hear it as generic now because so many who came after copied it but at the time this tune was huge. Truth is if you weren't there at the time you'll never get it.
@jmahjmahjmah Fair comment. I certainly wasn't there. Acid has moved on a great deal so by comparison this does seem somewhat basic and uninspired but I can see your attachment from a historical stance.
not taken a pill in 10 years but you'd have to scrape me off the ceiling just now and i have a proper ear to ear grin. god i miss the old days :-) don't make em like this anymore.... as for the 16 who don't like this, piss off and leave the grown ups to the real music
I'm addicted to Hardfloor. The doctors tried to wean me off using Basshunter, but my body had a toxic reaction to that shit and I almost died. Thankfully, the paramedics arrived in time and revived me with a 100 milligram shot of Acperience 1 straight into the heart.
@BTIshimura This is a slice of techno history. I'm guessing your are young and don't remember the American Rave 90's. You missed out. If you aren't young, you are just a troll then.
basshunter was in his mother when trance was music :-D 99.9999 % of trance is dead after 2001. Trance are not 10000 synthesizers and cheep rhythm. trance must put you in trance. I get diarrhea when I hear tiesto trance, new aged trance and mtv cheep tune like basshunter. God dammit they put trance without energy and soud like basshunter into hard trance. shame... Great track!
@dbbification yeah its true what you've said trance is dead and i wasnt even around to see it.. mainstream killed trance and pretty much all electronic music, its a shame how musics evolved into shit.
you have to dig very deep in the hope that it will anything respectable in todays music. Money is the opposite reciprocal quality. There is a lot of unexplored ideas but people are not innovative.
they used this in the movie KISS OF DEATH little junior brown was going ape when his father died. this was on in the back ground he was danceing to this and he smashed the place up. fucked up the world more power to little junior brown this is the trac i want at my death banging stuff
theee best dance tune ever....quarter to 7 on saturday morning and aboot 15 years later and it still sends sivers up ma spine. fuck the rest this is the best
The fascinating HISTORY of this Acid Masterpiece goes way back to the Eighties...The primitive 'blue prints' for Acperience are clearly seen the late Eighties Acid House tunes: 151 by Armando and Acid Tracks by Phuture. The primal sound of Acid Music started spreading to other musical styles by the time Acperience was produced. THIS IS TRACK DEFINITELY A SORT OF 'CLIMAX' TO THE MOST INNOVATIVE ERA OF ACID (IN MY OPINION). Thanks for sharing.
loved this when i was in high school and the local YMCA and Moose Lodge would have raves......they were totally oblivious to what was actually going on
@nyran125 Your right actually, trance/acid etc were the only genres that werent effected by 21st century shite but then him and his gang came in a fucked that over 2 I HATE HIM >:(
I remember my (then) new student neighbours had just moved in next door and bought record decks, knocked on my door & asked to borrow the record I was playing which they could hear (Cappella - U Got 2 Know) and in return, they gave me this cool toon to spin! Respect!
Totally awesome track, love the sound! I've got the x0xb0x 303 clone, ps: how do you rate them compared to the 303? Anyway, this makes me want to buy another 2!!

@dbbification yeah its true what you've said trance is dead and i wasnt even around to see it.. mainstream killed trance and pretty much all electronic music, its a shame how musics evolved into shit.

@anarchyisawsome93
you have to dig very deep in the hope that it will anything respectable in todays music. Money is the opposite reciprocal quality. There is a lot of unexplored ideas but people are not innovative.

@ElectronicaHistory Check out, Jacques Greene- Sorted, in my opinion this guy is the future of acid. The future is bright.

I remember my (then) new student neighbours had just moved in next door and bought record decks, knocked on my door & asked to borrow the record I was playing which they could hear (Cappella - U Got 2 Know) and in return, they gave me this cool toon to spin! Respect!
