It's not supposed to be laugh out loud funny just humorous. And if you think it's not funny at all isnt that just saying you don't get the British sense of humour?
'Powercell Super Extra Heavy Duty Fresh' brand of battery - 24 for a quid. AA or AAA
The AA ones are crap but the AAA ones last quite a long time - quality of all Powercell branded batteries (Zinc Carbon) is hit and miss, some 24 packs are crap some last ages. Some AA packs can have hits and misses within them.
You got to be carefull with those cheap batteries. Once I've used them in a 20 LED torch and the batteries got really hot because they couldn't handle the power drain.
"As ever be very careful when inserting batteries, to get them in the right way round. Otherwise... who knows (shake head and sigh).., who knows what might happen?"
I hope Gary comes back with another vid demonstrating just exactly what happens when you put a pound shop battery in the wrong way round.
At the moment I think it's one of two options but can't make up my mind.
(a) Nothing.
(b) The collapse of time and space resulting in the premature end of the universe, as we know it.
I am perpetually haunted by the urge to try it but thus far I have, for the sake of humanity, been able to resist the demons.... I don't know how much longer I can hold out though.....
Longevity test? Did you even bother to look up the word first? Try calling it the "Will it power something test". If this is supposed to be funny than good job. If this was meant to be a serious review/test... someone needs to get a job at McDonald's.

The generic zinc carbon batteries all have a low capacity and will almost always LEAK when fully discharged.
On the other hand, the pound-shop alkaline cells are less likely to leak and have virtually the same Ah capacity as the leading brands.
A pack of 4 or 6 pound shop alkaline cells is MUCH better value than a dozen zinc carbon cells.

KeyToTime: "He's trying to be funny; it takes a British sense of humor to understand"
No sir, it needs just COMMON SENSE, which is a grave enemy of the bigots. So much so they've robbed the schools of their purpose.
IT'S OUTRAGE!
It's UNSUSTAINABLE... heheheh...
As in, you either stop the bigotry, or you stop breathing.
One way or another.
