  • I Am In The Navy,

And Have 3 Months Left Before I Can Apply For EOD.

    I Plan On It.

    And I Cant Wait.!

  • My youth pastor does this

  • Pyro sent me.

  • @redrobin2980 Pyro is fire dipshit.

  • Phone is ringing

  • IT'S FRUITY RUDY!!

  • @UsNavy1087 I'd have to disagree on a small point, I wouldn't say we answer to the Navy as much as we rely on them, just like every service out there relies on every other service to get their job done.

  • I wonder why this is part of the Navy Elite Group, not Army or Marines

  • @pupentaco Because Army EOD along with Marine EOD mainly go through the basic EOD training. Naval EOD go through jumping and diving so they are ready for any situation at hand.

  • Comment removed

  • An EOD specialist makes only one mistake, when he becomes an EOD specialist

  • Best job ever?

  • shouldve stopped him before he passed.. could have boxed him in

  • ¨we are americans we are here to help you¨ americans! fuck run

  • @Daanl95 sappers go in a and clear a path way where other troops need to go, with their own explosives. EOD keeps our guys from gettin blown up and they disable the IEDs

  • so what is the difference between these guys and the sappers?

  • fruity rudy is from that show generation kill isn't it?

  • less watching, more doing.

  • I love you fruity Rudy!!

  • I'm thinking about going EOD for my country. Is this the way to go? Or should I choose something else like Airborne or Marine Recon?. What does it takes to be an EOD?

  • @thegrimreaper541 Recin marine also cast in the Generation kill miniseries by HBO

  • And I thought my job was hard...

  • What is the swimming test they do?? Is it tough??

  • @bigboyy88 for a seal no it aint for a civilian yes it is if u swim once every two days for a year it would be easy.

  • @MrReeg16 Alright thanks, I'm interested in doing this and I didn't know what water training they did.

  • I chose my MOS as this a few months ago, so excited.

  • @Aproposkainable the navy doesn't have MOS', they have rates.

  • @jgupton09 Mos, as in i just chose it

  • who is rudy!?!?

  • maybe i should do this. i really dont know what special forces to join theres to many to choose from

  • Did rudy reyes re-up and go navy?

  • @EspressoFan4Life Sorry that these men training to disarm bombs to save lives isn't exciting enough for your level of fucking entertainment.

  • Holy crap it's Rudy!!!!!!!!

  • I make it a point in life in never handling explosives without the assistance of a remote control robot, 200tf distance behind a tank underground in a bunker. Props to these guys.

  • 0:34 "were americans and were here to help" LOL

  • @chimpjunior A guy with his trolling ''mature'' opinions on the internet. Nobody really likes trolling interference. So choose Amish life style!

  • I like turkey

  • This is actually EOD1 training for the Navy. It's to get their team leader certification. All branches of the military have team leaders in their EOD teams. And to become a TL, in any of the branches, you have to go to a TL certification course. This is the Navy's version of it.

  • Comment removed

  • yea im sure they arent legally allowed to disclose certian portions of the training. the U.S. Navy probably priveleged them with only that portion of the training. I all the haji's knew how we dissarm bombs, they would prolly make their bombs differently so we couldnt dissarm them. simple logic.

  • The only thing I don't like about this is how much time the Discovery channel team spent on all of the other things that this training encompasses other than the Explosive ordinance disposal which is the most crucial part of any EOD tech's training. What is shown here is the predeployment training. What these man and women go through just to get certified is remarkable .

  • @lostinfloating Security reasons i bet....

  • well yes but it would have been nice if they had mentioned it at all.

  • @lostinfloating In all honesty, what you watched here really wasn't even the tip of the training they go through, in fact this is just the final certification before they are considered qualified for war. I highly recommend looking up the individual aspects of the training separately. The training pipeline can be found on the navy eod website and since the training outside of the actual ordnance disposal is not specific to navy EOD, you should be able to find a good bit of on YouTube

  • @lostinfloating Because they can't use that part.

  • That is Rudy from friggin generation kill at 4:20! Haha. You can hear him talking a little bit after. That guy is a military, media superstar.

  • These guys are the b@lls, I could not do bomb disposal. Very impressive that they are dive and parachute trained too. Maybe its me but these sailors dont seem to be as full of themselves as some of the other units we see on YT. EOD are heroes, as impressive as the Rangers and SEALs are, when it comes to nerves of steel these sailors and soldiers own the patent. Thanks to all of them.

  • These guys are nuts i could never do this!

  • Fruityyy Rudyyy?!?!?! In the back at 4:20?

  • @l1veformusic haha, I think it is! :D

  • @l1veformusic that looks exactly like him damn!

  • @l1veformusic looked like it...maybe he's an instructor....sounds like him too

  • @l1veformusic thats the warrior living right there!! good eye!

  • i dont think this is just Navy EOD, but a combination of all armed forces EOD, just primarily focusing on Navy. I could be wrong.

  • @petervsays It's just Navy, this isn't EOD school. This is like pre-deployment training or work-up. Your right though, the actual EOD school has a combination of all.

  • @koopi5 thanks.

  • i was in navy EOD myself training was a bitch but we all made and got to go together

  • @seabee319 Kid. Don't fucking talk. You are full of shit. No class has ever had everybody make it. Don't disrespect EOD with your bullshit lies.

  • nah hes right its outside of eglin its like a 20 minute drive from base

  • hardcore

  • @aaronh257 yhhh have u seen surving the cut marines and divers XD ?

  • @kialn i am sure those are just as hardcore as these guys or is it more ?

  • @aaronh257 yep they are are but i think the trainging that the marines have to go through is a little buit harder why don't u watch the marine vid and decide for urself XD

  • @kialn Kid. I'm in EOD school right now. Don't talk unless you actually know what you're talking about. I'm in the Army and I'll even admit that Navy is the best in combat. Just because Marines are bad-ass in the MOVIES doesn't mean it's true in real life.

  • @leto71107 ok i don't wanna argue i was just stating wat i think! I'm sure the navy is just as great. But u would say the navy was best coz ur in it.

  • Got to have respect for the EOD. Nothing I would go and do unless I really had too.

  • @carcrazylt1 that post just proved to me that you don't know ANYTHING about EOD school OR units. you should get your fact straight before you put out WRONG information about anything concerning something you're not directly a part of.

  • thanks for the upload man

  • Does anyone know the song at 0:23?

  • This is actually very misleading. Navy EOD is not even the most relied upon EOD unit in the military. They certainly don't go beyond the EOD skill set and pull raids, etc. This is difficult to watch for those who know better.

  • Comment removed

  • @QueEsq1911 Navy mainly works with spec ops teams they leave dealing with IED on the street to the army guys. They do pull raid with spec ops teams. They train with SEAL team out in San Diego. Only navy does that no other branch.

Yes army/marines have eod teams but they are trained by navy eod techs. There is only one EOD school between all the branches and its run by the Navy outside Eglin Airbase in Florida.

  • @carcrazylt1 its not outside eglin, its on eglin lol, just sayin

  • looks like him, talks like him, walks like him, has the same hair cut as him. i think it's rudy reyes lol

  • Just saying... The "role players" were dressed like Arabs and speaking Arabic, not dressed like Pashtuns and speaking Pashto/Dari.

    There is a difference :)

  • I dunno what to make of this? I've been to Iraq twice and all I saw navy EOD do was respond to bombs out on the MSR/ASR's I've never seen them do anything like hostage rescue or raids or anythings.

  • @poloplatinum20 Yeah, it does seem to be nonsense. I know that Discovery Channel was trying to make good t.v., but the Navy EOD is simply not a reliable unit for raids and hostage rescue. Not even Army EOD would be tasked with those kinds of missions. I never saw Navy EOD in action and I think that says it all in a war where there were never enough warm bodies. They just aren't the guys portrayed in this show.

  • @poloplatinum20

It's because they can be attached to the SEAL teams. In that event, they need the basics of operating alongside them.

  • Im training myself for 2 years and become one of this fine young man ! I cant wait!

  • hahaha it is rudy =D

  • that would be sweet if they did an episode on air force combat controllers

  • @techlogi8 But CDs are also active in boarding ops.. Clearance diving-boarding ops...?

Besides, I suppose all military have to be trained for assault because you can't know or plan when you're going to come across an enemy right..

  • My roommate did this training course, now he is a dead beat who sits in his room all day...

  • these guys are brave

  • i would do this job, just to wear the cowboy hats in combat.

  • @Tyrail

    forgot them

  • Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudyyyyy!!!!

  • @techlogi8

    seals=maritime strike

force recon=maritime recon, ship boarding, direct action

    pj=csar

green berets=training militia and resistance fighters

delta force=hostage rescue, hunting HVIs, recon, direct action

    rangers=light infantry/recon

devgru (seal team 6)=same as delta except maritime

Delta and DEVGRU are Tier 1 everyone else is Tier 2

  • @fawas92 Don't Green Berets also do Foreign internal defense, Special reconnaissance, Direct action and Hostage rescue?... I don't think it's only 1'st SFOD-D and DEVGRU that do that stuff..

  • @SmokeyCough Ofc, green berets train in every field.

  • @SmokeyCough they do that stuff also, but Delta and 6 are tier 1. meaning they can take orders directly from the president on "president eyes only" security clearance missions

  • Navy EOD are the team you choose when u go in search N destroy game mode in call of duty I guess.

  • WHATS THE SO DIFFRENT BETWEE NAVY SEALS DUBS AND NAVY SEALS EOD?

  • @juju1006539 navy eod are not seals

  • @juju1006539 EODs are not SEALS, just get deployed with them a lot because NAVY trains their EODs to work with special forces. Very different kind of training, almost as rough but not quite AS much focused on combat. Lot of work they do can be with secret service, FBI, CIA...some of it is underwater, like salvaging torpedoes and mines.

  • seems stupid to have EOD as navy... EOD should be army

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z Every branch has one.

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z I suppose they're the American version of Aussie Navy Clearance Divers?

  • @MEsturmvogel Not really. The US Navy has dedicated Divers that would be more akin to the Australian Navy Clearance Divers.

  • @ginjaninja1988 What was the question?

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z Army has EODs dude, they're just not trained to work with specops. Navy has them because they like to deploy them with SEALS. Also they need to dive to salvage torpedoes and clear water mines...broader field of work then just taking care of IEDs because the NAVY needs them to work in more terrain then the army does theirs. Airforce and Marines also have EODs btw, just once again not as trained as the NAVY ones.

  • @Duerala Agreed, I'm a combat engineer, and I'm planning on doing EOD on a later date. I heard the course was a 20% pass rate or something.

  • @chaungo depends from class to class...average attrition rate is a little over 50% realistically. It's physically pretty tough but 90% of it is mental imo. Physically it's just a lot of running...diving school's a little different but once again..you'll get through it with the right attitude. Just gotta want it. Wish you the best of luck with it.

  • @chaungo oh word of warning, don't get in trouble...don't get caught underage drinking or screwing up ANYTHING if you want to go EOD, that includes trouble with civilian law enforcement. You won't be eligible otherwise, we take moral character very serious.

  • @techlogi8 why train troops that are decent at everything when you can train troops that are experts in some things.

  • Hat was supposed to be -3

  • Ahh my cousins in there!!!

    I miss u Kyle!!!! -3

  • whats the difference between navy seals and navy eod?

  • @AmericanGMS Navy Seals go in and do stealthy missions and are the toughest to get into in the navy. navy EOD go in and are like seals except they defuse bombs and plant them. they are mainly trained to deal with explosives.

  • @superman2328 How about you learn, that Navy SEALS were born out of Navy UDT (Underwater Demolition Teams)? Hm. It's called READING...

  • It is Rudy Reyes :)

  • @munkylufur it really seems like rudy reyes, but he's oddly wearing Army ACU's, shouldn't he be wearing usmc marpat?

  • At 4:21 doesn't that look like Rudy from generation kill, And souund like him?

  • I really pity these men...putting themselves at such high risk but so what?...it doesnt change the world...the problems of extremist ideology etc....wat they are doing is just a drop in the ocean trying to tackle the world's problems

  • does army EOD go through this? Or do they go through another course?

  • I have one question for all the liberal elites out there: If we are in Iraq to occupy it and take their oil, then how come all military units have been pulled back and the only Americans there are training Iraqi security forces and there are NO oil facilities working in Iraq? If we went to war with a middle eastern country for oil, it would be Saudi Arabia, and we don't have to do that because that's where we get most of our oil.

  • due to the nature of bomb disposal, this program wasnt really factual about the 'training' of EOD technicians was it? i mean it did show them on excercise and rehearsing different scenarios, but it wasnt really training was it? unlike the USMC scout sniper one which showed the build up to becomming a HOG rather than HOGs on excercise.. still loved the series though.

  • I don't understand.... are these just SEALs that focus on bombs?... why are they rescueing hostages?

  • @Belland621 I dont understand, you don't have any clue what you are talking about. They are not SEALs, they're EOD, big difference. And everyone rescues hostages, it's part of the job. I am gonna just assume that you are a 12 year old kid with no clue what you are talking about.

  • @sunshine199552 or maybe i was confused because everybody else on this show is from a special operations unit. And thats why i asked you J**k A**

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE YOU FRUITY RUDY!!!

  • I'm going to sign up for the navy eod technician. This looks like fun can't wait! Death before failure.

  • @phoenixfay1 just remember, dont ever doubt yourself.

  • @phoenixfay1 Good luck, 75% washout rate. But doesn't mean you shouldn't go for it.

  • and my recruiter toid me this was one of the safest jobs in the Army... im glad i did my research before actually enlisting. at least now i know what i'm getting into...

  • @yooper2 This isn't the Army. just a heads up

  • @asianwannabeamerican There is EOD in the Army. MOS 89D. Just a bigger heads up.

  • screw it this video convinced to me to join EOD

  • This and Air Pararescue are my favourite episodes.

  • Comment removed

  • isn't that rudy reyes from generation kill? 04:21

  • It looks like it. But Rudy Reyes actually played himself and was really Marine Corps Recon. That person is wearing Army BDUs

  • @reese3d BDUs are the standard forest pattern (which still included the color black) and they are also no longer in service. That was the Army Combat Uniform (ACU).

  • @munkylufur I'm pretty sure that that was actually Fruity Rudy! Semper Fi Rudy!!

  • @munkylufur

he's in an army uniform ......

  • @munkylufur Haha I was wondering if anybody else saw that guy.

  • @munkylufur It it Rudy Reyes :)

  • @munkylufur Looks like he gave up his PT business.

  • @munkylufur das wat i was lookin at!! lol but aint he marine?

  • @munkylufur he is!! WTF? ain't he a recon marine?

  • @munkylufur hes a real recon marine. fruity rudy is bad ass!

  • @munkylufur holy shit lol well Rudy was a Marine Recon Ranger

  • Why does that one guy have a Pro-tec helmet?

  • best of the best

  • good upload thanx

  • 04:21 - Rudy Reyes !!

  • "Calm down,,,we're american's...we're here to help you". LOL!

They should of said, "Calm down,,,we're american's...we're here for your oil and to occupy your country cuz we can".

  • @acenspades Goddamn bleeding-heart liberal milquetoasts.

  • @fmcc0904 I know, like all pests, they're everywhere.

  • @fmcc0904 Hey now, I'm a liberal and I don't agree with war. That doesn't stop me from wanting to become a PJ. These ladies and gentlemen are very brave and are willing to risk their lives for our country whether for stupid reasons or not. I have a lot of respect for everyone in the war even if I don't agree with the reasons for war.

  • @squidbilly70

If you don't agree with the war, you're going to find it even tougher doing a tour in those shitty conditions. And thinking that the reasons for being there are stupid are stupid is just going to make it that much worse when you start driving on those IED infested roads.

If that's your dream, go for it. I'm just giving some advice from the types of people I've seen in those situations.

  • @acenspades stfu you weak ass moron...if u want to live in a country thats all about peace and doesnt use their military then move to western europe where they take whatever shit terrorist groups give them and dont do shit about it

  • @acenspades Nothing you're saying is based on fact, you're only seeing what you wish the world was like. NEWSFLASH. By attacking Iraq, we took down an asshole who actually did invade and occupy a country for oil. You're confusing us with the bad guys. I'm not a fan of Bush but you're retarded if you think people join the military because they want cheaper gasoline for their cars. What have you done or planning to do to better society? I doubt much cus you obviously don't believe in selflessness.

  • @asianwannabeamerican news flash...the reason,,the ONLY reason why America is in Iraq is because of oil. Bush and old-man Cheney have enormous investments in Haliburton - the largest service provider of oil services. Let's not forget KBR (Kellog Brown & Root) is a subsidiary of Haliburton.

America invaded Iraq, under the cover of "we have strong evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction", just to get oil. To date, not ONE weapon of mass destruction has been found.

  • @acenspades You think I don't know that??? Everyone knows that. Bush and Cheney are a bunch of wealthy elitists. shocking!! But do you speak as though the average soldier, Marine, sailor, or airman volunteers to serve in Iraq because they have investments with these oil companies? You seriously think they risk their lives because they're afraid of lost return on investments? Why don't you make this type of comment on a Bush, Cheney, or Haliburton video instead of a military video.

  • @acenspades One was found, and it was the kind of weapon that you can disarm with a noose. Saddam Hussein, for all intents and purposes, was a weapon of mass destruction. And I guarantee you've never actually been in-country, so you have NO idea how true that statement is. It just so happened that Bush was intelligent enough to know that speaking of moral imperatives and ending tyranny doesn't work in this day and age. No one cares. And that fault lies with us, not our leaders.

  • @acenspades I'm not saying you're wrong, because neither of us know the truth. But, think about this. Why wouldn't the Bush administration just plant fake WMDs to convince the UN inspectors? Wouldn't that make things go more smoothly? Why didn't they just make up fake evidence linking al Qaeda involved with 9/11 to Saddam Hussein?

By the way, Bush admitted to no WMDs being found. I would think a con man would come up with excuses... Bush just told the truth.

  • @acenspades

i think you just offended every one who has ever sevrved in the us military! How dare you!!!!

  • I hate how they jump 3/4ths of the way into the pipeline... I guess everything else is boring.

  • holy shit, is that fruity rudy?!?

  • @outofthedumps HAHAHAH

  • Wow!! The guy on the left at 4:20 is Rudy Reyes!

  • @Zuby05 lol you're right!

  • @Zuby05

It actually is him. I believe he is working as an advisor for the show. You'll notice he's wearing ACU combat fatigues, different from the uniforms of the EOD guys.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 And you'll notice that the Navy wears ACU pattern now. I've seen them in it numerous times over the past year on and around Ft. Bliss.

  • @fmcc0904

My point was that he's not wearing what the rest of them are wearing. That is Rudy Reyes.

  • @CaptainAmerica322 And my point is that the camo pattern is becoming very common, so bringing up the fact that he was wearing ACUs was redundant and unimportant.

  • Yes, it's Rudy. No, he's not working as an advisor for the show (why would he, he was never Navy EOD). He's there because he works fore the company that the training unit contracted to provide role-players for scenarios.

As far as uniforms, Navy EOD wears whatever uniforms they require in-country. ACU's are indeed one of them.
