I like the combination of the music and the video, they make a profound effect, very well done! I'm exceedingly envious of your balcony and it's view ;)
Hey, sorry for the late response. On my EF 70-300 IS DO, the image stabilizer is busy like a boxer's footwork, waiting for something to react to. I don't know technically why it's like that, and you would never notice it, unless you did a lock-off on a tripod and sped it up. Then you see what's happening a la "Paranormal Activity" ; ) Each shot has a different speed. Some is 1000 percent speed up. The recordings are many lengths with the longest being 12 minutes. Have fun!

Sure. It's just software. Vegas on the PC side, or in my case Final Cut Pro for mac. You can take about 14 minutes per recording on the 5d. Put that clip on the timeline in iMovie or After Effects, or Final cut, or vegas, or whatever your using and then change the speed of the clip. In my case some clips are playing at 2000 percent others are as slow as 400. Just whatever looked right. Have fun!
@MarkReedreber Brilliant video Mark. I got a timer for timelapse stuff but often just shoot video and speed it up like you have done here. Btw, you get 12 minutes filming on the 5d. Is down to the FAT32 file limit of 4GB...
Freaking awesome!!!!! Can I ask wot the music playing is??? It's beautiful & fits the video perfect!

Just speed it up till it looks right. You shoot it just the same as anything else - but locked off on a tripod!

hey mate, great video!
can you explain my how do you do a timelapse with the 5D II ?
is there a timer or did you simply clicked endlessly frame after frame ? or are these simply speed-up videos ?

How long were you recording at each place?

and what will happen to my footage if IS on? just curious.
thanks!
