This is a Grizzly with cubs not a black bear you can tell by the big hump on the back of their shoulders grizzlies have this hump black bears do not. Grizzlies can have dark fur almost black and black bears can have lighter fur so you can't always tell them apart that way you have to look at other physical features and the shoulder hump is a unique Grizzly feature. I just watched a show on NatGeoWild where the guy explained the differences

@marcelverwoerd You are 100% correct i should have read your reply before i typed mine but you are right about the shoulder hump Black Bears don't have that. These Bears are clearly Grizzlies more specifically Alaskan Coastal Brown Bears.
