Voice: Clark Kent, I know what you've been doing to Jimmy Olsen in your storage closet....meet me at the Diary Queen or i will expose your secret blah, blah.....
I thought Superman had a code against killing anybody on the JLU series when he didn't want to kill Lex Luthor. In this episode this villian dies. What's going on here?
Superman was just doing Mastermind a favor by returning what belonged to him (LOL) ! Besides that, it's not conclusive that Mastermind died. With the stroke of a pen, and a good writer's imagination, this extraterrestrial villian could concievably return at virtually anytime. Hooray for the Justice League of America !
I've been thinking about that too. On one side, Superman could say that he merely deflected the asteroid and that Mastermind just happened to be in the path of the asteroid. However, if his fellow Justice Leaguers were subpoenaed, they would have to testify that they heard Superman say, "I'll take care of asteroid AND Mastermind." And yes, when you come into direct collision with an asteroid, you will die!
Ted Knight did a lot of voice for Filmation. In the 1966 "New Adventures of Superman" cartoon, he was the narrator for the Superboy cartoons. He also did a lot of voices on the Filmation version of "Fantastic Voyage."
I sure hope Ted Knight got paid per voice he did in this cartoon series, 'cause he did a LOT of 'em! He was almost all of the villians on Aquaman and Batman! I THINK he also did Commissioner Gordon, too! :)
Supes just stone cold killed Mastermind. Wow! Code against killing, meh!
