  • Okay, listen up everybody.

The cuticle is there to protect the nail, but just like other skin on the body (or nails and hair), it regenerates, and dead cuticle skin will remain. This dead cuticle skin can be CAREFULLY trimmed away, as long as the living skin cells of the cuticle are not removed - just the dead skin. Just like we have our hair trimmed, cut out nails, or exfoliate our feet with a pumice, the dead cuticle skin can be removed without complication if done very carefully.

    The most

  • How silly. This is the way to get a cuticle infection (paronychia)

  • @togetvj Depends on how you do it and if you pull off all the skin, but if you only take the top layer of the cuticles the actually has to be trimmed, you will not be at any risk for infection.

  • being that...

  • lol in Romania if u give a manicure and u just push the cuticles down.. u will get slapped ... i like getting them cut of .. getting them pushed down is painful and their going to just pop back up in a day or 2.. so yeah pointless and painful.. YES u might get an infection but ffs.. seriously u wash ur hands u dont let them get flithy.. .. ;) my opinion anyways.. everyone i know would rather get them cut than pushed down. and im from Australia currently living in Romania.

  • nippers..... lol

  • soo silly

  • u can get an infection from cutting ur cuticles

  • She wasn't going to say nipple she was going to say nippers as in cuticle nippers...

  • waste of time!!!

  • UGH this pissed me off. if you're going to do a tutorial, actually DO IT.

  • she looks and sounds SO nervous. poor thing.

  • so bad at explaining!

  • Don't even follow this advice!

It's bad to CUT your cuticles! You need to push them back and put nail oil on it or dip honey on them.

  • What a flipping waste of time!!! I haven't found anything on eHow or expertvillage yet worth watching. So, I'll never click on anything from these channels again. People who put up their own videos actually SHOW how it is done.

  • It doesn't hurt if you are cutting it right. But it will hurt if you cut in the spot too much.. You just wanted to removed the skin overlaying on top of your nail and if the edge of your fingers have rough skin. You can cut them off, but not too much. Make sure your hand is soaked in warm water and put lotion on your nails for 2 minutes before cutting. Clean your cuticle cutter with rubbing alchohol after you're done.

  • does this hurt?

  • nope!

it actually feels good to get them removed :)

  • @blade83336 HA YEAH LOOL

  • @blade83336 XD lol!

  • @blade83336 it sounds like it but if you watched the video she was going to say nipper.

  • i bite the cuticles off its painfull bloody and a horrible habbit. my hands look like a battle field

  • lmao -- she didnt even show anything!! lol geez.

  • You should never ever cut the cuticle.

  • She is not cutting the actual cuticle. She is cutting the dead stuff like hang nails off. I had my nails done for the first time ever this week, and when done correctly, getting some of dead skin out of there feels quite nice. But like she said you don't want to do it all the time.
