Personally, I want a Pastor that does not have to divide his time between Bible study and working some secular job..because in my opinion it compromises the quality of his calling as a shepherd. Read Acts chapter 6 and see what a Pastor, Apostle,. etc should spend most of his time doing.

Thats ur opinion..Paul said that he has a right to live off of the gospel. Pastors have a right to live off of support from the people as long as it in within in reason and people give cheerfully and according to what they are able to give. So I do not believe that Pastors are entitled to above and beyond what the rest of us get on our jobs-- but they should be supported by the church as said in the WORD.

Amen Brother. I have never liked Pastor Anniversary Celebrations, birthday celebrations, etc at the church. At our church we were actually presented with a letter that informed us that we had been assessed a "fee" of 150.00 and to have the money in by a certain date for the "pastor appreciation". Needless to say, I refused to participate. When the people STOP GIVING to this non-sense, the churches will stop asking them. People need to wake up.
