yes this phone has just about everything Sprint has to offer. Sprint TV, RADIO, Sprint Navigation, Built in MP3 Trimmer to create your own ring tones, Built in you tube player to many good things. Only down side is that it has no memory slot for a micro SD card, only 4GB of internal memory. Great phone i must say, I would get this phone but I'm going to get the Touch Pro, which is the same thing but with a slide out keyboard and micro SD card. BOTH Phones ROCK!
Definitely the Touch Diamond. I've had the instinct and returned it after I think 2 days of use. It is way to limited for my use. Sprint TV is also choppy (and still is even today from what I hear from other users)
The instinct isn't bad necessarily, however depends on your needs, it will either work or won't work. I happen to be a business user,so I am a bit' more demanding than the average consumer.
The instinct is not great for multi-tasking either, if you get a call while you're texting better finish the txt first, otherwise when you answer t he call, the text will be lost.
one of the best reviews ive seen for the the htc diamond but i have some questions for ya'll youtubers- does this phone have haptic feedback and sprint radio on this phone, please someone answer cuz im goin to order it tomorrow most likely.
I like Windows Mobile phones for Sprint because of sprint T.V, Radio and Sprints GPS navigation. You can send videos, pictures, Use slingbox and watch all your cable channels and install the Skyfire browser with flash so you can watch any video you please and so many other things. Im going to get this phone or Sprint's Touch Pro which will be released on Oct.19, which is the same phone but with a keyboard and a memory micro SD Card, which on HTC website show it can handle a 16GB card.
nice review- im getting a phone pretty soon and im hooked on touchscreens. i like good camera quality, haptic feedback, qwerty keyboard, mobile tv etc. ive narrowed it down to the htc touch, htc touch diamond, lg dare, and lg vu. which is the best?
These are very different kinds of phones: the HTC devices are smartphones and the LG devices are feature phones. The LG Vu is the only one has digital TV where others have on-demand programs. Read our detailed reviews of all four devices and compare them with what you want from your phone.
The diamond is for the mainstream user, not experienced tech people who would obviously go with the Touch Pro for it's memory expandability, flash and keyboard. Sprint and HTC did a lot of things right with this phone, by increasing memory and battery. 4 gigs is a lot, for me, since I stream all my media via Orb anyways.
Just for your information, McCain is going to win because at least he has TRUE PATRIOTISM AND EXPERIENCE where Obama is a NOBAMA empty suit. You stupid bloody moron, leave politics out of your reviews you dumb wench.
People need to just relax a little. We happened to catch that video on CNN when we were doing the video review. If McCain was on it, it would have showed McCain. We needed to show the video performance in real time and that was what was showing.
This is technology, man. Leave your comments regarding technology.

Yeah, and ACORN is unbiased & nonpartisan... Maybe if you didn't make it obvious that you support Obama and then lie about it, people wouldn't be bothered. In this video you made a point to go to a specific video (Obama), yet in the Touch Pro review you announce that you'll just pick the first video (which "coincidentally" was also Obama!). I highly doubt it was a coincidence. Maybe you should have picked an unpolitical clip, if you're not going to be upfront about your bias.
Very curious, can you tell me if the front is plastic or glass? I like how it looks, but would also like to know if it's a glass front, that will not be a scratch magnet for like earings and stuff.
Thank you so much, so it must be a more accurate technology then the pressure sensitive touch screen. Excellent review BTW! I loved your full review on your website.
OH BTW: In your review, you talked about the accelerometer limitations. I found a new program called Gsen, which enables full g-sensor capabilities in any application and window (except TF3D of course).
And to Merzoc...get over yourself! This is technology talk, not friggin politics, as if we don't have enough of that already
hmm, I must've missed it when reading your review... I'm hoping this phone supports the new WinMo 7 cause a leaked video was released showing off a possibility that the diamond and touch pro are multi-touch ready :D
Geeze, out of all features that are on this phone, you ahve to cry about the design of it. I think it looks just fine...get over yourself with that "Americans did this" bullshit.
i agree with u about the whole messed up design thing... it looks more edger with the sharp edges and diamond back, i think it would hav got more peoples attention with it, but one good design is the no more plastic back... i had a palm centro and it has a shiny plastic back and it got on my nerves because of the finger prints and stuff, but idc im happy its coming to america and on sprint because i have sprint... but i think the htc touch. pro is gonna be much better
And the phone is actually good looking... I honestly don't care for the back myself either, but that's exactly it, I don't care enough to really rant about it, since I'm more interested on the front. If sprint made the front glass into a scratchable plastic and didn't do anything for performance, then I would complain about it.
The Diamond unlocked with US 3G version has the non-glossy diamond design back cover. Check out our review of that version for photos on mobiletechreview.
Do you know if you can enter text in landscape mode? I read on the user's manual online on page 55 that,
"• When in landscape mode, Compact QWERTY and the Phone keypad are not available."
What I did with my HTC Touch was I set the side button key when pressed and held that it would rotate the screen. It was possible to do that with the original Touch. Can you check if this can be done with the Touch Diamond? Thank you.
Just like the iphone... I think not... opera formats the text to fit the screen width. You will probably have to buy the next gen piece of rubbish from Steve to get that on an iPhart.
Nice review but for god's sake turn off the auto focus! Set the focus, open the iris a little so it's not so dark, and your videos will look MUCH better!
We agree. We had a terrible weather yesterday and was very dark during the day. We tried putting some lights around, but the device was too reflective to get a good angle. We will do better in the next one.
Nice video, thanks! Can't wait to get mine either. Although it always seems that every phone review, no one can ever video the phone straight on, it's always at an inconvenient slight angle. Thanks again though, the phone looks great
does it have good battery

I loathe the Sprint-version design.... why can't they just leave the original Diamond alone? Americans just managed to ruin another great phone.

I can understand if you prefer this comfortable design to original Diamond's coolness. But how is design of a phone not important?
Mid-tier market is very competitive with everyone swooning over iPhone. Sprint needs a good-looking phone.
