Noel was a great bass. He had such a mellow voice. I saw them at the Harrisburg Farm Show Arena at an all-night-sing. JD and the Stamps were there also back in 1970.

Wow, he was good. This is the first time I have ever really seen and heard him. I think Richard is definitely lower but Noel has a better voice. Does anyone know where I can read and learn more about him?

I hadn't heard this version by the Oaks, and had forgotten just how much range Noel Fox had. It's a shame that he didn't 'fit in' with the group...if things had happened a little sooner for them, he would probably have been encouraged to stay with them.

Nothing against Sterban, but Fox was there when they got their first Dove award.

Thanks Dean, Light may be the best gospel album of all time. I read on line on the Oaks' web site that Duane said he had always wanted to do an album with the Oaks Band. This was it.
